From Mike Tanner's wife, Kathy. We've taken our dog and cat to Heartland Animal Service since we moved to Des Moines in 2015. The veterinarians and staff have carried through with services as expected. However, beyond that isn't but not unlike many other places. They communicate about us to other people but the people in the area don't include us.
It means these services and the community can determine our lives without us and we are only left at their beck and call to only lose time, money, and us with little to no chance to grow.

Love our team at Heartland-- they are professional, caring and beyond competent. They recently had to perform a minor surgery on our 14 year old kitty- and we were thankful they kept us updated by phone along every step of the way. I especially appreciated their timely follow up when we had aftercare questions. Such great peeps! Thank you!

Dr. Prescott was incredibly friendly and helpful with new dog owner advice. The vet tech was also very nice and helpful, and so was the front desk lady. Price was reasonable and the new dog owner packet was very informative. I'm not living in the area, was visiting family, but if I did live in Des Moines they'd be my full time vet.

I've been taking my puppy to Heartland Animal Hospital for almost a year now and have always had a great experience. They are very responsive and even have text messaging options to get advice and ask questions. The staff are knowledgeable and absolutely love my dog. He gets excited every time we pull into the parking lot. They go above and beyond to make sure he is taken care of and my questions are answered.
They do all of this for some of the most reasonable prices I've ever had from a vet, and they're willing to provide coupons and rebate codes to make it even more affordable. By far the best vet's office I've ever experienced.

I absolutely love Heartland Animal Hospital! A coworker of mine recommended them for my pup's care and I have been blown away since day 1. They're super easy and flexible to work with and really put the animals first. I've recommended them to friends who are just as impressed as I am! I love when the vet tech remembers my dog when we come! I also love that they send home report cards when they see the vet! I cannot rave enough about Heartland. They're amazing.

I love the compassionate staff at Heartland Animal Hospital! Dr. Culver and all of the team are professional, kind and SO good at what they do. I recently had to have them help me with my beloved cat, Dewey, as he passed on to heaven. I was comforted by Dr. Culver and the staff from the time I walked through the front door with Dewey until I walked out alone. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and support.
