Favorite spot to bring my pooch for a self service bath. All supplies are clean and quality products.

Self-wash Dog Bath Station. Highly recommend! Affordable, clean, very friendly staff, full access to a large variety of shampoo/conditioner to in include oatmeal, lavender, whitening, etc. Very high water pressure (I realized quickly to hold nozzle against the fur) with adjustable temperature. Multiple towels provided. Very high powered hair dryer (adjustable setting). Even a few treats at the end when checking out.

Love going to use their self service to give my dog a bath. It makes washing your pet so much easier and they supply the towels and shampoo as well. Just for $15. You get about half hr or 45 min to wash your dog. So glad they provide this.

If I were a dog, this is the place I would want to hang out at. Wes, Kurt and Toni are always on point - knowledgeable and friendly with no hard sell. The prices are in line with online shopping so I would much prefer to support a local business. Added bonus are the staff's pups are often in the store to play with.

We came by to get some much needed supplies for our new puppy. Since she was a rescue, we got over $60 in free pet supplies, and a free bath! Regardless of the unbeatable freebies, the selection of healthy dog food, treats, and toys was amazing. The staff is extremely caring and knowledgeable, Hannah helped us find everything we needed for our new puppy. Can't recommend this establishment enough for any of your pet needs.

We came from Miami to get our new puppy! We came to the store looking for a pet carrier to fly back to Miami. The owner was great with us, she gave us different advices for our puppy and she even gave us free treats and food samples for our dog to try! She is amazing! The store has a lot of variety. We definitely recommend this place for all pet owners!

I came in for the self wash bath stations and to say I wasn't impressed is an understatement. To get up to the baths they had metal steps. My dog gets very anxious around baths and the sound of the metal clanking did not make her feel more comfortable. They had a good assortment of available shampoos, brushes, towels etc that were available which were good.

However the baths themselves were not clean and had mold. The rubber brushes that were in the bath area had mold on the inside of them. The inside of the baths were scratched and beat up from other dogs which is very minor but could be fixed by having a rubber mat or something. I was not impressed and will not be returning. I believe the self wash was $15 which is the average price for this area.

AMAZINGLY RUDE phone experience with the manager Toni this afternoon. I called to make an inquiry about dog training and was beginning to share my query trying to connect with Ian - with whom I have had several great conversations over the past year in Old 4th Ward Historic Park. Toni interrupted me about 60 seconds in to the call with "We are super busy today.

Can you get to the point and what is it?" Yeah, no. Well Toni, if you had bothered to pay attention and listen, you would have discovered that when I called yesterday trying to connect with Ian for dog training, your staff member gave me your email address. I sent that email but it bounced back. If that is how you treat potential customers, then I won't be shopping with you again, nor will I recommend you to pet owners. Additionally, you just lost out on months of revenue from extensive canine training. Also - your website needs some serious developmental work. Good luck.

Really happy that I found this place! I emailed about some dog products to see if they had it, Toni emailed me back fast. She did not have some of the products I was looking for but was happy order them for me. As soon as they came in she let me know and it was a easy pick up. I Highly recommend this place!

I stopped in here once one summer and never came back. Why? Because despite having the air conditioner on in my car the entire way there, parking in front, SPRINTING inside, and grabbing my dog's food so I could quickly pay and run back out to him, I was lectured about leaving my dog in a hot car in the summer and refused service. I get trying to look out for animals, and I would be the first one in line to bust open the window of a parked car to save a hot dog inside.

But I was inside the store for less than 2 minutes and they freaked out on me. I looked up reviews about how poorly other people were treated here and I can only say that they're in line with what I experienced that day.

Nothing special about selection or service. Prices were very meh. Can't see how it would beat out Chewy or Petsmart.

We love! Walked in here hoping to find some wet food my dog would like and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. My pup has already chowed down two cans of what they recommended. Thank you! I'll be back

Howling a huuuuge "Thank you!" To Highland Pet Supply for spoiling Dixie today! HPS gives the royal treatment to all newly rescued pups by giving you a free bag of dog food, two bags of treats, and a free supplement. You are also offered your 1st bath free and 40% off a dog tag. Dixie loved her treats (opened them before even getting home), salmon oil, and especially loves her Sun Sheild Tee and grooming brush! If you're in ATL, please stop by with your pet and be prepared to fall in love with HPS. #shopsmallbusiness

In my years of shopping here, I've only ever had amazing experiences. The staff is knowledgeable on dog & cat food, treats, collars, and toys. I love their holistic perspectives on dog & cat nutrition. Toni & Ian are also phenomenal owners and offer training as well. Thank you Highland Pet Supply for staying open during this trying & difficult time. We love the staff's genuine, no BS attitude. 10/10 WOULD ABSOLUTELY recommend Highland Pet Supply

+1 on the rude owner. Some of the other staff are helpful enough and help you find what you need, but I see another pet owner was excessively berated about her dog's tendency to mark. Mine didn't even mark - both I and the store owner caught him in time - but she made a huge deal about it going on and on, yelled at my dog (he didn't even pee), and was unfriendly the entire rest of the time I was in the store. You've gotta expect that dogs tend to mark, and not be so uptight and afraid of the inevitable when you own a PET STORE. Not worth paying higher prices to support this business.

Great selection, snotty owner and staff. Who owns a pet store and doesn't offer a treat to your pet when you make your purchase? My dog has gotten treats at Home Depot, Richard's Variety and Ace Hardware. There are about 5 pet store choices in this area and chewy. Who needs to pay someone to be rude to them?

Owner doesn't seem like a respectful people person. Just didn't enjoy the overall vibe I was getting from her & her team. 10/10 don't recommend.

Love this place they have everything. and the stretchy collars my cat wears she loves! but sometimes comes home without. so back i go for another kitty collar. i love them because they are light and cushy and stretchy so she wont get hung up on a fence or anything precariously. thank you Highland!

Toni is such a great resource starting with my first inquiry over the phone to figure out how best to feed my new Siberian kittens. When I made my first to the store, Toni remembered me and spent time showing me all of the options in raw food. The store is very well stocked and I was able to source the best choice of raw foods that my spoiled little boys love. Thank you Toni!

Absolutely amazing store - mostly because of the people, Toni, especially. While they might be a small store, they do their best to bring in the products that are mostly used. If they don't carry it, ask, they will let you know if they can stock it in the future. My dog LOVES this store so much. literally pulls me there to just visit. I've had NO DIFFICULTY ever with returns, refunds or exchanges. I've checked online to get cat food (Weruva Slides) cheaper - and quite frankly I cannot, so why not support a local owned chain? Toni is on top of the latest and greatest toys, treats, beds, collars, bowls, kennels, foods. you name it.

If they don't have it - ask for Toni - she'll do what she can to find it for you at a very competitive price. As far as customer appreciation, well, I feel appreciated by them every time we set a foot & paw in the door. I am truly thankful they are open and doing business - in my opinion (and my dog's) one of the best pet supply shops ever.

I moved here from Pittsburgh recently and at home would always wash my dog in our own tub with the detachable shower head. WELL now that we're in an apartment I don't have that luxury. I was looking for a place with a self serve dog wash (Sadie is TERRIFIED of water so a groomer didn't seem right), and this place was PERFECT. plan on stopping back soon.

This is the most well stocked, super awesomely owned/staffed local pet store I've ever frequented! And Toni makes every effort to price at or below the going rate for all of this top shelf ultra quality stuff for our deserving fur babies. She even contributed to my Beulah's YouCaring cancer-fight fund when I couldn't afford all of the expenses on my own earning her a print which she actually appreciated! and had framed in the neighborhood because she supports local business, art and music to boot.

I can't say enough good things about Highland Pet Supply. Here is a picture of my new addition Gertie refusing to leave the steps of our favorite wonderful welcoming pet store

While the selection is good (not great) and the prices are "ok" (not good), the owner is clearly not as customer focused or customer serving as you will find in many other establishments. If your pet purchases are not driven by customer interaction or appreciation then you'll be fine with this place. If true caring, dedicated and courteous service are a factor in your pet food purchases and you prefer to have interaction with a staff that is there to serve their local community and your needs, then I'd suggest you go elsewhere. Loyalty is not recognized or valued here.

And that is important to me. I'm not driven by price or even convenience as I'm sure many pet parents agree. But I am driven by appreciation, feeling valued, and most of all, being respected. While local retail is important, customer service must align with it. You can't beat the incredible customer experience you get from Chewy.com. Not to mention the prices! It's not always better shopping (or in this case attempting to shop) locally.

Oh I love this place! I live in McDonough, but any chance I get to come to the Highlands, I usually stop in here. This store has anything and everything you can think of. From heating pads for dogs to toys galore! They also have shampoo and bathing station for dogs. I can see how it would be so easy to bring your pooch here and spoil them like crazy.

I emailed the owner one day needing a bowl that attaches to a dog crate and she quickly emailed me back asking me what size I needed and when I would need them. I came by a week later and she knew exactly who I was simply by my email and pulled three different sizes for me to choose from. The bowls were only like $5 each and they worked so well in my dogs crate!

They also sell adorable little dog treats at the check out. If your dog or cat has a special diet, this is the place to go! It's so amazing! Bring your furry friend and check it out!

This is a great review on which to end my Cheers & Jeers of 2012. Two words: shop local! In Highland Pet Supply, you get a local market with great care and service, which most certainly matters when it comes to our furry children. I visited here to buy loot for my erstwhile pampered pet, Triscuit, for specific items. I got an education on the death of a pottery retailer who made the water and food dishes I adore.

The gal told me that the place was bought out by a company in China so they don't carry those products any more. The point here is that one local store begets another, locally derived product or maker. So when you shop at a place like Highland Pet it's like a Small-biz Circle of Life. Anyway, I digress. This is a great join in a group of great, local places in VaHigh. if you haven't checked it out already, do so.

Highland Pet Supply has the widest selection of non Petsmarty leashes and collars that I've seen the this side of the Circle (285). They have waterproof ones, neoprene, rolled leather, and even the one that I got for my dog, which is a flat leather collar that has an optional piece so that you can add Blingified letters and charms to the collar.

I do think that paying $75 for a water/feeding bowl is a bit much, especially when it doesn't include the bowls that are another $60+ per bowl. They are reasonably priced on the collars, and they stock the Nature Variety Raw Food Diet which is awesome. The shop guys are super friendly, and told us about the diatomaceous earth for our other doggie even though they didn't stock it. Thanks guys! I've never used the showers there, but if I didn't have my own space to do that, it seems like it'd be an awesome idea!
