We just rescued our puppy Nala and we wanted to start obedience training with her. I was told Humane Domain was a great place to get her started. We just finished puppy class with Lindsey. She is great. We like her method of positive training. Everyone in our class is great! Nala is doing great! We have moved in to the next class. We are very excited to see how far we can go.

Very nice place. We hold our adoption days here for HRS (House Rabbit Society) and the staff are always warm and friendly. Kids that come no matter what the time can see all the animals they have and if they're lucky they can get in some petting!

Debbie has created a wonderful environment for your new or old pup to learn manners and how to be the best possible dog it can be. The trainers are knowledgeable in the best current methods of positive reinforcement training and always willing to work with you and your pup for the best outcome!

Dog Training in Small Groups I've taken my doodle to 3 different classes at Humane Domaine and been very pleased with the hands on training provided. The location is convenient, it's held inside a large barn on a working farm where you're able to unleash your dog at times for instruction. Our favorite class was the Agility training, which was high energy and fun for both myself and my fur baby.

Where my puppy was trained. Through the use of positive reinforcement, the instructors give you control, allowing your puppy to listen to you personally. My dog still understands and recognizes commands that he learned through Humane Domain.

They train dogs without the use of shock collars, choke chains or prong collars. All is done through positive reinforcement.

My dog has been through Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Manners. Puppy Kindergarten involves some basic obedience; basic agility games (which my dog LOVED); and "pass the puppy, " which gets the puppies used to being handled by strangers (loads of fun for both the dogs and the humans!). Every young puppy should go though this class! My puppy left it confident and friendly towards all dogs and people!

Basic Manners is a good introductory obedience class. It involves a lot of homework, so be prepared! It was hard for me to notice any improvement in my dog from week to week, but when he took the "final exam" on the last day of class, it blew my mind how much he had learned! As for the instructors, everyone is a certified animal behaviorist or working on certification.

They really know their stuff. Since I haven't trained a puppy in a very long time, it put my mind at ease to have their reassurance that my puppy is progressing appropriately for his age and his behaviors are normal. I also really appreciate their willingness to answer questions before and after class, as well as over email during the week, so we can head off any behavioral issues before they develop into real problems.

I feel the cost of the classes is comparable to others in the area, and it's an especially great deal when you factor in all the one-on-one instruction and the credentials of the instructors.

My parrot and my foster dog (now adopted by me) were having issues that were too challenging for me to remedy. I had already conducted a lot of research and conferred with a lot of professionals. I was afraid that Debbie was just going to tell me more of the same that I've already uncovered or already been told by others but that wasn't the case. A lot of what she had to say was refreshing and a real eye opener, things that I didn't know or hadn't even considered.

Her advice was also personalized, which is very beneficial to each individual instead of a one size fits all approach. She was very helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. Supportive of both the animals AND me. If some advice didn't work or wasn't applicable for my household, Debbie listened and offered alternate ideas. My pets and I are very happy that we conferred with Debbie and I would recommend her to anyone else.
