I was impressed with the level of care and friendliness of the staff, especially Naomi. My pup was not afraid and actually seemed like he enjoyed himself. The facility is clean and inviting. Yes, we will return and I'll recommend this place to my friends.

This dog beach has been a fantastic outlet for my dog's energy. I NEVER take him to dog parks because I worry about aggressive dogs. The cool part about the dog beach is it's big enough that if you meet an aggressive dog, you can continue walking down the beach and have your dog interact with friendlier dogs. My dog has never been attacked at Huntington Dog Beach. He plays with dogs both big and small. This dog beach is spacious and fun. We travel an hour to visit it.

Loved this beach. It was clean, large. All dogs were well behaved a fun place to visit, not touristy a good beach for a walk.

We took our girl, Pepper, here for the first time today. I was very hesitant about going, but my husband really wanted to take her, so we did. It was so much fun. Lots of room to run and play in the water. It was a sunny Sunday morning, but it was not over crowded. She immediately found another dog that looked just like her and they began playing.

She loved running to the water, but only went in if my husband went in with her and then she only went in up to the middle of her legs. What a great way to wear out our big energetic pup!

We just had our older pup groomed by Naomi and it was a great experience. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and our pup loved her. The grooming didn't take long and she looked adorable after!

A great dog beach with friendly dogs and nice owners. I've only met good people here so far. There is parking in the neighborhoods/streets around the beach and it's all flat ground sand here, no big rocks like at dog beaches I've been to in San Diego.

My pup just loves it there! If I bring him in before 11 AM and request it, he gets pool time (his favorite), the facility is clean and well tended, with separate play spaces for large and small dogs which you can view on cctv if you are leaving your pup there for the day. The decor is very in keeping with our local area too. The only possible downside I see is that there is no outdoor play area, so if you board your dog overnight it would never see daylight. Other than that it gets 5 stars in all other areas from me!

My Vader LOVES doggy daycare. He typically goes once a week and as soon as we pull up, he is ready to go. The staff are wonderful! I pick him up and he's exhausted so, mission accomplished! They offer a free visit, to see how your fur baby does, which is SO nice. They even gave me a report card on his first visit, letting me know how he did and the new friends he made. The facility is super clean, always smells good and the fur babies all seem so happy!

Wow what a great place to take the doggies and exercise at the same time! People are wonderful, beach is clean unless it just rained, and plenty of trash cans to get rid of all of your dog/human trash!

Such a fun dog beach! Hubby and I spontaneously took our little pug out for an adventure out here and he had a blast. Parking is generally free in the neighborhood but you can always do metered parking if you don't feel like walking too far. Weekdays are fairly empty so parking shouldn't be an issue at all. They also have poop bags available for any pet waste.

Make sure to grab those to keep the beach clean! Our pug really enjoyed his time off leash here. We're definitely taking him back again in the summer. Great place for dogs to socialize and have some quality fun time.

Who doesn't like a good dog beach! This is one of the best dog beaches around! They have poop bags ready when u walk up and many dogs are very playful to play with your dog. You can park across from the street or in metered parking. There is a restroom nearby. They have dog events too!

Very welcoming from start to finish! Ford seemed to love being at Dog Beach and the staff was extremely kind, helpful and professional. We enjoyed being able to check in on Ford playing and having fun, via the camera access on the web site! We loved that the VIP Suite offered bedding, camera, dog bowls and a quiet place where our puppy felt comfortable enough to fall right asleep! Also, loved the report card and 'pupdates' with pictures!

Beautiful facility that seemed to be kept up and clean! Smelled great when we walked into the lobby! Thank you all for taking great care of our fur baby, Ford! He will be back in a couple weeks for another fun stay!

I feel so blessed that I love close to this beach for me and my mutt to romp! My friend and I take our pack several times (or more) a week and we've never been disappointed. Like so many others, I adopted a COVID puppy and he needs exercise! I also love the beach myself and I collect seashells and sand dollars while he plays. We haven't met a bad dog yet, from huge Great Danes to tiny Chihuahuas to handicapped dogs on wheels (even one that walks on only two legs!), they all have a good time. It's a great place to watch and discover nature. From the different types of sea weed to sea cucumbers, there's always something interesting. The sunset can't be beat!

Great beach to bring your pups. Dogs can go unleashed so be cautious if you have little puppies. The only downside are the people who do not clean up after their pets. These ladies cover up their pets poop with sand on multiple occasions.

Harper loves going to DogBeach. She makes a beeline to the daycare area entry as soon as we enter the lobby. I enjoy checking out the live webcam throughout the day to see how she is doing. The staff is great, the facility is clean and cheery and I like the two hour break for the dogs from 11-1 pm. I also like the fact that there is a vet on staff, just in case. And of course the biggest bonus is that she comes home exhausted.

Absolutely in LOVE with the Entire facility! Super friendly staff that I truly believe loves the animals. Chanel is always so excited to go in to play or get groomed. We use all the services including the Veterinary facility Sea Oats as well. Always nice, friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone smiles and seems happy to be there. I have recommended ALL of my friends

Our family took our puppy after he was cleared of all his shots.his first time on the beach! My youngest jumped in the waves while his fur sibling ran after other doggos, sniffed, and had basically the time of his life. PROs: - Everyone is good about cleaning up after their dogs. - Fairly close to Main St if you want to grab a bite or drink after. - The majority of the dogs were unleashed but friendly.

The ones who weren't sure how their dogs would react were leashed. - Happy dogs everywhere. People conversing about breeds, age of dogs, their past dogs.such a great environment! No cons unless you count parking. We were lucky and got a spot. I imagine you'd have to just park further if you couldn't find one in one of the lots.

The best dog beach in SoCal! If all dogs go to heaven, they are probably coming here. This stretch of sand sits along the PCH between Seapoint Avenue and 21st Street, and it's good for dogs stretch their legs and snag some play time with other beach-loving dogs while their human mama and papa could catch some sun exposure. Follow the rules to maintain control of your dog at all times, and I've encountered mostly friendly and well-behaved ones.

This was our first time at Dog Beach. My dog immediately took to the people he met at drop-off, which made me feel more comfortable about leaving him somewhere new. Our groomer, Candace, did a great job and was very thorough. We will definitely go back.

Easy street parking, you must pay parking meter to park. Dog park is to the right side of the beach, there will be signs and a ton of dogs. Very spacious! And clean. My dogs love it.

Mine & Marshmallow's favorite dog beach! It's huge! Spans almost 1.5 miles. It's fun no matter how crowded it is. You just have to find street parking and walk down. The southern end is by lifeguard tower 22 (PCH + Goldenwest) - there's human bathrooms and doggie bags. There's even a nice bike path that goes along the beach if you prefer to walk your dog on leash.

We love bringing Gracie to DogBeach! She loves playing with her dog friends and human friends and always feels right at home! We also love that Sea Oats Animal Hospital is right next door so if she ever needs to be checked out during her stay we always know she is in good hands! Thank you, DogBeach!

My dog Ralphie absolutely loved his stay at DogBeach. He was so loved and cared for. I loved that I received report cards, updates and pictures of him while we were gone showing how happy he was. He came home calm, happy and clean! He can't wait to go back and play with his new friends!

Great for dogs and dog owners! Everyone is so nice and adheres to common courtesy rules about cleaning up after their pets. This beach does allow non-aggressive dogs to be off-leash. So, if there's a risk that your pup will be aggressive towards other people and dogs, it's best to keep him/her leashed and/or muzzled to avoid catastrophic outcomes, God forbid.

Parking can be hectic and the spots fill up fast, especially on the weekends! But, people do come and go, so just look out for spots! I got lucky with an excellent spot on the street the last time I was here on a Saturday early afternoon. My dog loves it here and I am a dog lover, so it's always so much fun coming here for outings!

We went Friday noon and stayed for about 5 hours. We brought our two chihuahua mixes. There's mostly big dogs but a good mix of different types of sizes and breeds. There was a lot/good amount of people. Parking is $2.50/hr. We were able to find a spot within 5-10 minutes. They have doggy bags and bathrooms. The area is cleaner and most people are responsible with picking up after their pets.

I suggest bringing an umbrella and to pack lightly. We packed some food and dogs were really excited and ran to our spot lol. You can also swim/get in the water here. There were dogs that were leashed and unleashed. Most of the dogs that were unleashed were well behaved and friendly. Overall my dogs had an amazing time at the beach. One of my dogs is anxious, but she still enjoys walking along the beach and chill in the sand.

The weather has finally been warming up, so we finally took our little monster to the beach for the first time! We went on Sunday around 11AM and were lucky enough get a parking spot after only a few minutes of waiting. Weekends definitely are crowded (a huge line developed after we parked and there was still a line when we left an hour later) but the beach itself is very spacious.

Lots of room to accommodate for social distancing, and for your canine companions to roam/run/be free off-leash. Parking is $2/hour and just a short walk down to the beach. If you're going on a weekend, it might be a good idea to bring snacks/food to eat in your car while you wait for a spot. I didn't see any shade along the beach, so sunscreen for yourself and a way to keep your pup cool are musts.

Plenty of rubbish bins for dog poop and water fountains up on the sidewalk. Just a note for more nervous dogs/dogs that are easily overstimulated: the majority of dogs were on the large side with high energy, so if your dog doesn't do well in that sort of environment you'll need to work up to visiting this beach. This might be a given, but I haven't frequented off-leash dog beaches much myself. Overall, this beach is really well-kept and a great first experience for our dog. We'll definitely be coming back!
