Scary! Nothing but aggressively barking dogs in metal crates in stacked rows. This is NOT a daycare. This is a strict training facility. Dogs do not interact with other dogs or play. If you board your dog here, they will be alone most of the day with the exception of bathroom breaks (which they take solo). Sad, cold, dark, dismal, depressing. Owner was less than happy to take me on a tour. You can tell they specialize in training aggressive dogs. It's a big NO for us!

This place and the people there have been great. We have a 4yr old Shepherd mix that is a dream behavior-wise. But we just got a pup, and wanted to make sure to get her started on the same path. She's only 10 weeks, and as you can see in the photo she is already learning to respond to commands. It's all a very positive approach, and they have had a solution for literally every behaviour we express needs correcting. Their experience training is evident, and having the ability to go back to them at any time really puts us at ease.

Best decision of 2021! When I took Capone to K9 Koncepts he was 8.5 years old, very reactive, and had a bite history. They told me he wasn't a bad dog, he just made too many decisions for himself. He didn't trust me as a leader and I didn't trust him. Now our relationship has completely changed and he's like a different dog! He's much calmer and he comes when I call, which may sound like a small thing but we had ZERO recall command when we started.

I'd resorted to letting him in the back yard with a leash dragging behind him so I could pull him away from the fence when he started barking at the neighbors. Other aggressive dog training facilities do Board & Train where they wanted to keep my dog for 2-4 weeks at a cost of $1,000 per week. I didn't want to give up my dog, I just wanted to feel confident handling him.

The trainers at K9 Koncepts worked with us for almost 6 months to make sure Capone knew the basic commands and that I had the tools I needed to confidently train him. As an older dog, with years of bad habits, training took a bit longer than usual but the trainers stuck with us. Both of my dogs are much happier and healthier now. We're walking more, visiting new places, and they're eating better since I switched their food to the raw food and treats they sell. My dogs love it and one lost 10 pounds. The vet said she looks great! If you have dogs, you should check out K9 Koncepts.

I take both my crazy dogs here for training and even though it has taken some time, their behavior has changed a lot, making for a much calmer home. I was very nervous about boarding our dogs for a week while we went on vacation but decided to leave them in K-9's care. I picked up two happy and healthy dogs when we returned. The kennels were clean and the staff followed the feeding and medication directions. They even patiently answered my multiple phone calls when I was worried about them. I would recommend their training and boarding to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience working with the team at K-9 Koncepts. You will be hard pressed to find such a knowledgeable and caring group of people. We learned so much concerning our four legged friends. They have given us a strong working foundation and a great set of tools for behavioral training. If you are looking to train your pet in a knowledgeable, caring, and patient environment, then you have found the place.

I've been taking my 4 year old rescue dog here for nearly two months now for the aggressive dog training and he has made so much improvement! He has very bad dog reactivity after being attacked, and I had absolutely no idea how to address the problem myself. The trainers have been amazing, they're very helpful in explaining some of the dog psychology behind behaviors and in teaching me how to correct different behaviors with my dog.

I have received just as much training as my pup on how to react and correct behaviors, it has totally changed the way I look at dog training. It is a lot of hard work and you definitely need to stay on top of the training, but it has also been extremely rewarding at the same time, we're still working on correcting some behaviors but it's wonderful to take him out for walks or go through the parks and see him more relaxed and not constantly in the defense mode. I can't wait to look back in another couple months and see where we are!

K-9 Koncepts is a great place to train your dog. I introduced my puppy to K-9 Koncepts when she was about 3 months old. The trainers welcomed us and recommended us to start with a puppy classes. We learned a lot on puppy training during those classes. Then we continued with obedience classes and now learning advanced obedience. I have a great relationship with my dog, and now trust her off leash, thanks to K-9 Koncepts.

She loves to go to K-9 Koncepts for classes, and loves the trainers there, especially Kiki who she always meets with a wagging tail. I recommend this training place as they not just train your dog, but teach you, the owner, how to train and handle your pup.

Hello. My son and his German shepherd puppy Shiba attended the puppy class. They enjoyed it. We learned different things about feeding crate training. The staff was very nice and helpful. I always able to answer questions and give suggestions. Thanks. Stacy. Bubba. Shiba.

Please Please Please! do not take your dog here for obedience training, the classes are too big and the instructors do not have any useful advice and will harm your dog. I knew nothing about dogs and came to these people for help when I adopted a rescue puppy and following their advice scarred my dog psychologically and ruined our bond. He is terrified of the crate because I trusted their advice to keep him in there for most of the day and night.

He is terrified of me because I trusted their advice and "corrected" him when he wouldn't sit in a position they liked. Make no mistake this place uses physical pain, withholding food and confinement to achieve their results and they're absolutely stubborn in their belief that their way works infallibly and have no time for your problems.

I remember in basic obedience when asked any question they responded with the same question "how long are they the crate?" I could rant for hours about all the problems of this place honestly it should shut down but whatever you do do not under any circumstances let Kiki hold your leash or work your e collar!

Other than the food and treats they sell nothing has been useful. Our dog is terrified of the crate and the only advice ever given was that he needs to spend more time in it. No amount of time has stopped him from freaking out to the point of shaking and drooling everywhere and peeing himself, also no it's not "too big" of a crate, he barely has enough room to stand in it at this point and will still pee and then lay in the pee shaking and crying.

Our dog is also now terrified of us. He won't do basic commands (sit, down, come, things he had mastered and did every single time without fail previously) after his experience with the e collar. He was completely fine while we were training him with it to get used to it but after we showed up for training and they took the controller to shock him themselves, he's been terrified.

They turned it up way too high and shocked him more than he's ever been shocked at once before and for commands they had told us not to shock him for. Our bond is ruined and all of the money we spent and training we've done was essentially for nothing, it feels like now we need to completely start over because no matter what command we use he just shakes and tries to hide. Don't recommend if you love your dog and want to keep your bond with them.

K-9 koncepts not only train your pup they also train you to know how to raise and train any dogs. They work with you as long as it takes your pup to learn. We have a lab pit mix knowing he going be big we wanted to get help and with k9 koncepts started out puppy class most important he learn to come and listen and other things. We in obidence now and we are learning so much each week cant wait for the next class.

The puppy classes are a great value. About half the price of other puppy class packages around and they focus on socialization which was my main concern for my puppy who started at 12 weeks. They pay close attention to make sure the puppies get to play freely but safely. There is a time period during each class where people can ask as many questions as they want about their puppies' behavior which is so helpful because you get to ask very specific questions and also get to learn things you wouldn't consider asking about.

My friends are usually impressed by my little labradoodle's response to "come, " thanks to the puppy class. They care about educating you on nutrition, which is very nice and informative, but they also don't shove anything down your throat so that you can still make your own decisions about your dog's nutrition. I live in Harford County and was concerned about the drive, but it turned out to be a quick and easy 35 minutes straight down 95. I really look forward to going to puppy classes every week and I'm sad that this is our last one!

This training worked immediately for our dog who had previously been called "untrainable" at a different place. I cried happy tears on our first walk after our first session because we had such a major breakthrough. We have only been to two classes but I can confidently say this training is worth every penny. Listen to exactly what the trainers say because they know what they are talking about. I can't wait to see how our dog is by the end of it!

Took my Maltipoo puppy here for a grooming awhile back & the groomer (I believe her name was Kristina) did a OUTSTANDING job on my pup (who I know is difficult to groom because he can be a bit antsy). I appreciate that she took time in between each stage of the grooming process to make sure she didn't overwhelm my pup by moving to the next thing too quickly.

Even though it went over the estimated amount of time. You can't beat the customer service & the great service of the groomer. She made my pup as comfortable as she possibly could I he loves her! You guys have a customer for life!

If you love your dog, do not take them here to get trained. the trainers keep their dogs locked in a running van for 10 hours a day! i went in to get my dog "evaluated" by the trainer but she just took my dog and locked her in a cage until i was done the tour. absolutely horrible! my dog was terrified when i got to see her again. please don't support this business.

Very satisfied with Customer Service. I scheduled my appointment Via Yelp and was able to book my pup immediately. They did a great job with my dogs full body trim, wash, ear & teeth cleaning.

Had a great 1st time experience today. Contacted through Yelp and they were able to fit me in a few days later. Forwarded vaccination papers via email. Staff was pleasant and professional by phone and in person. Nail trim and face/feet hair trim $25 - and she included a quick teeth brushing. My dog is generally nervous and she handled him with care. Definitely would return.

Highly recommended. Started with puppy class for our male German Shepherd. We then put him through the board and train program and we are very satisfied. The overall training is excellent and the staff stayed in constant contact with us while the pup was at training. In addition to purchasing our food, K9 Kravings, from them, we also use them for boarding while on vacation.

I know that he is in great hands while we are away and he receives more attention than he would at other kennels. Even after training was over, employees are extremely responsive to any additional questions and are always willing to address any further concerns that may come up.

Very happy with the results after completing the basic obedience program. My 3-year-old Rottweiller and I could not be happier. The Training Director KiKi is amazing! She effortlessly corrected 3 years worth of bad training in a matter of weeks. My 120lb Rottwelleir is the best house dog that I could ask for now.

My pup Pablo is a 2 year old Rottweiler who is a lover boy who is eager to please and has been trained by myself since he was 3 months old. About 10 months ago he was attacked by another dog and since then he has been very reactive with other dogs, specifically larger breeds. It got to the point where taking him on walks was stressful because if we were to encounter another four-legged friend on the way he would growl and lunge, and at over 100 lbs it was frightening to see.

I enrolled him in the aggression course since his basic obedience was really strong. From the moment training began we noticed a huge difference. We have been with K9-Koncepts for about two months now and I feel very comfortable taking him out on walks. I wouldn't let him off-leash but if there is another dog on our path he sits at my heel until they pass and then we go on our way.

This training has given me the confidence to take Pablo out and know I have control over him regardless of the situation. Kiki has been more than helpful and has given me effective tips for everything from feeding to exercise to play time. I have gone through multiple other training programs and this one by far has had the most effective change on his behavior and emotional balance.

He has even become more cuddly and respectful of other people. If you want your dog to really listen and obey commands regardless of what's going on around you K9-Koncepts is the place to go. Bill, David, and Kairah have been so hands on and respectful of my dog and really care about his progress.

I used them for 5 years and was extremely pleased. From obedience training for both a puppy and a dog to boarding to stocking up on raw food and supplements, they know their stuff and it was obvious from first time I met them that they genuinely cared about dogs and are also extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them.

This is the best dog training company in the state of Maryland. Apollo is my first real dog and without them I would have been lost. I could not believe that had the sit through a 3 hour into lecture to get started but I learnt more in those 3 hours than I could have on my own in a year. They are amazing trainers because they are hands on and every class has several trainers to help you. I highly recommend you checking them out

This place is a joke. Their training methods for dogs are archaic. Starving your dog to train them does nothing. Owner has never evolved with how to train dogs. In addition, I was never given a refund after I discover what a disaster this place was. Stay far away!

I dropped my dogs off for boarding and grooming. When I picked up the dogs, I barely recognized my one dog because the groomer decided to shave his head (which was not agreed upon when I dropped him off). Nor did she call to tell me she was going to do it. It was a complete surprise! The reason that she did it was because my dog had a mat in his ear, so she shaved his entire head.

When I brought him home, I noticed him acting strange and shaking his head. When I took a look at his ears both ears were cut and the tip and infected. There was also a cut on his tail! I had to take him to the vet to get medicine because the infection was so bad! We are still dealing with complications from this groom today! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! I was very disappointed. Especially after the 150 vet bill I had to paid in addition to the terrible hair cut my dog received.

Great training - no frills for sure - no bs. Honest to goodness training - we were having issues with aggression with our shepherd pup and now we get compliments on how well trained and behaved he is when out. I don't know that he will ever be the warm fuZZY family dog that like we've had in the past but at least I feel we have control over him. And he's a cuddle bug with us- just not others! Thanks James and bill!

So this was my second time taking my fur baby here.the 1st Rachel did an great job. This time. NOT SO MUCH. I dropped my west highland terrier off and when she called me back to get him. I picked up a Chinese Crested!.OMG SHE BUTCHERED HIM.you can actually see sore on his neck. When I called her to complain and express my concerns about his skin being damaged by the harsh elements.she said PUT A SWEATER ON HIM!A FUCKING SWEATER.UM.EXCUSE ME.BUT HE'S A DOG!

He was born with a sweater(FUR).SIGH!BUT WHAT REALLY torn my nerves up. SHE DIDNT SAY OH I'M SORRY.THE NEXT ONE IS ON THE HOUSE.NOR DID SHE OFFER A DISCOUNT. WHICH is unfortunate.because I tend to be a loyal long time customer.but since her customer service was so nonchalant. Me and my NEW FOUND Chinese Crested.will NOT be returning once he turns back in a west highland terrier!
