K9 Manners & More Your dogs are our sole business. Our trainers and instructors are amongst the most experienced and credentialed professionals in the area. At K9 Manners & More, we take a positive approach to training-achieving results through effective methods that are friendly for people and dogs. We have group obedience classes for puppies and adult dogs, and lots of fun activity classes including Agility, Scent Work, Swimming and Dock Diving.

We also have some online course options. We offer behavioral counseling and private, one-on-one training for dogs with behavioral issues such as aggression, anxiety, fears, and phobias.
Services
There are no laws to regulate who can call themselves a dog trainer. However, there are professional organizations with strict standards and current education based on the latest science of dog behaviors that with study and applied knowledge, people can attain credentials. Our instructors are in the latter category.
Day Training is by appointment drop-off training, which combines play and lessons throughout the day. It's life-changing for you and your dog. Day Training packages are 8 weeks, one or two times per week, for a full day or half-day. Your dog.your goals! As trainers, we like to see all dogs have basic manners; not jump up, walk on a loose leash, come when called, and pay attention when asked. As a pet owner, it might be important for your dog to learn how to chill out or settle down in your office or other spaces.
Besides bringing your dog, there are a few things you will need to ensure successful training. For the beginning classes, we practice some foundational behaviors at the beginning of each class. Here's a video demonstrating those behaviors and showing you what to bring to class. Puppy K is your puppy's head start on learning the social and obedience skills he will need as an adult. In this class, you will learn the basic skills of sit, down, wait and stay, walking on leash, leave-it, and come when you're called.
Dogs explore their world through their noses. We can work with our dogs to identify specific smells and let us know when they find them. We use specific target odors in this class and dogs learn to search interiors, exteriors, and containers. When introduction classes open for this fun partnership with your dog, they will be posted here.

K-9 Manners & More is my place for dog training. I have trained many dogs in my lifetime at many training programs. At present, my husband and I are training two dogs in scent work and agility, and we've also trained in obedience, rally, trick dog, and the various levels in Canine Good Citizen. The reason I love K9M&M is that they care about our dogs as much as we do, and they care about us, the owner-trainers.

As instructor-trainers, they are positive motivators for both us and our dogs. They are professionals with expertise, confidence and kindness. They know our names, and they know our dogs. We go away from classes each time with a feeling of our own confidence and reward--our dogs are happy, and we are too! Everyone, I hope, wants to feel they are changing or improving the world and enhancing the lives of those who inhabit it. Mary Green and the other instructors aren't just making us better dog owners, but they are improving our relationships with our dogs, making our canine companions and us better citizens.

They are saving the lives of the dogs that come there for classes or for individual training because those dogs will become better family members. And through that training, we have an amazing relationship with our dogs!

I wish I could give K-9 Manners 6 stars! They have an amazing program, giving pet owners the tools they need to succeed with their pets. When we started training our dog he was impulsive, pulled on his leash, occasionally sat, never stayed and in general just wouldn't listen, not to mention he had a stubborn streak. Today, we walked him through four pet friendly stores while we shopped.

He left other shoppers alone, walked on a lose leash and occasionally when people wanted to pet him, he respectfully waited for them to reach down to pet him. I couldn't have imagined ever walking him through a store let alone taking him for a walk without the constant battle of tug of war. I highly recommend K-9 Manners they're thorough, patient and they are ready to offer suggestions for an improved K9 Owner experience! Thank you K-9 manners for an amazing training program!

Cannot rave about them enough! We started coming here with our puppy for one on one training and decided to do day training once a week! Great value for both, but the day train has been the most helpful! Seriously, try it out! Their staff is AMAZING!

Mary Green is very knowledgeable on dog training and socialization. I recommend a lot of clients here due to their awesome facility and staff. Most places do not offer a swimming deck! I have had dogs trained by here visit my boarding/daycare facility- and they all have wonderful temperament. Mary is also active with Tulsa SPCA and you can tell she truly enjoys the bond between pets and their human owners. I highly recommend this local training facility.

I got my whippet trained with them a few months back and I want to say that at this place they know what they're doing! It's amazing. Sighthounds are extremely stubborn therefore difficult to train and Kim and Mary handled him wonderfully! The trainers are very kind and understanding, they demonstrate and explain everything very well and you also could always ask questions after the class.

Keep in mind that you'll have to be consistent with the training exercises in between classes, you'll have homework, there's no magical way the dog just will do all the tricks by itself each time you'll leave the building, you gotta work hard on repeating what you've learned at class. But the results are absolutely worth it. I always recommend this place to my friends and people I meet at dog parks.

We tried the group class for puppies and had no idea that there would be so many people in the class. The individual attention is very little due to the class size. Most of what they are offering could be found in a $20 dog training book and practiced at home. When the instructor used our pup for a demonstration and wasn't able to get her to do what she wanted, she gave up!

If you want someone to give you some brief instruction for you to go home and do yourself for $150, this is your class. If you want personalized attention in a group class with fewer people that doesn't feel like a cash grab, then look elsewhere. You get what you pay for.

Best place to come to for training for your fur babies! All of the trainers are so nice and they absolutely know what they are doing. The building is nice and clean as well. It also has a great store in the front for all your training needs! When you love your fur children like family make sure you get them the best training available. a trained dog is a happy dog!

I have trained many dogs over the past 15 years at k9 manners and more. Mary and Kim and the other trainers Excel using positive training methods and they also are wonderful the training the trainers. meaning the pet parents. I have trained many other places over my lifetime and this is my favorite of all! They understand the mind of different dog breeds and are excellent at coming up with strategies that work for even the most difficult dogs. I highly recommend this place!

I'm halfway through my second set of classes at K9 Manners & More and want people to know that they are fantastic! I have a young rescue dog that was very challenging in her behavior. However, since we went through the basic obedience class (COEDS) and now we're in Model Citizens, she is doing so much better. Kim, Mary B. & Mary G. really know their stuff and have helped me work through specific issues with my dog. I love that their training is POSITIVE reinforcement. They understand dog behavior and have given me specific tools to use with my dog.

We are so glad that we found a dog school with trainers like the amazing staff at K9. Everyone made us feel like family from the first moment we walked through the doors. Kim is an excellent instructor and makes training fun for both the dog and the owner. They also have a great selection of high quality food, treats and toys that are made in the US. Since we avoid buying toys and treats made in China that is nice to have one stop shopping for our pups.

Horrible experience. Nothing but "know it all" ego's. Extremely rude instructor. Always had a set appointment every other Friday at 1. Instructor was always late, & last time I showed up for my appointment she didn't even show up. Not to mention while waiting on the No Show trainer the staff was extremely rude towards the dogs in kennels. Banging their heads into doors while dragging them out for a potty break. I was so heart broken at the way the dogs were being treated & the fact that the trainer yet again late/no show, I left & will never go back. $$$$$$$$$ WASTED.

A-1 business right here! So super friendly and great service. They have the expertise you would only dream about. Taking care of your puppies and making sure their manners are on point. Sounds harder than it looks for sure. They also board dogs for long trips if I am not mistaken. All puppies need to go to school, why not take them to the best place you can.
