Services
The highly trained and compassionate staff at Lake Grove Veterinary Clinic has proudly served the pets and families of Lake Oswego since 1976. We provide high quality care for your four-legged family members through every stage of their lives. Our goal is to provide comprehensive, personalized care to each of your pets not only when they're feeling unwell, but throughout their lives as part of our preventative medicine program. We love your pets as if they were part of our own family, and will treat them as such.
As an AAHA accredited animal hospital, Lake Grove Veterinary Clinic offers a broad range of services to meet all of your pet's health needs throughout their lives. We have a strong focus on preventative medicine, or preventing diseases and illness before they happen. We'll get to know your pet on a personal level so that we better understand your pet's needs before we design a treatment plan for them.
For some pets, a trip to the veterinarian may cause them to be a little too nervous or anxious. For many years, the veterinary industry has struggled to balance an approach to pet care that allows professionals to get the job done while minimizing this stress. Our ultimate goal at Lake Grove Veterinary Clinic is focused on making your dog or cat's visit as calm as possible.
We recognize that the evolving nature of consumer purchasing is shifting towards online ordering and home delivery. As a result, we have contracted with Vetsource to provide a safe, secure, and reliable means for you to order medications online and shipped directly to you. If desired, you may arrange for auto-shipping of certain medications and diets.

From what I have experienced, everyone at Lake Grove Vet is kind, knowledgeable and professional. I have a lot of confidence bringing my dog in. They are all super easy to work with. And my dog seem to like it there, too. :

I have a very sick dog and ended up taking him to an emergency hospital because this clinic who is his care provider didn't have any open appointments today, called at 8am, and suggested I take him to another clinic when they are HIS clinic. I told them my other dog was treated over the weekend at emergency for kennel cough, and now my older dog has it and I was looking for them to prescribe the same medication regime as my other dog, or at least see him.

But she insisted they have no appointments and that we had to see the doctor to prescribe medications, mind you they also have my other dogs records and treatment from the weekend, and now my old dog is experiencing the exact same symptoms. I called today on a Friday and she said they couldn't see him until Monday, so he is supposed to go all weekend without being seen, without antibiotics and cough medicine and he already has a heart condition.

It would take 5 minutes for them to see him. So I went to emergency and waited 3 hours and because they were worried about his heart did additional X-rays to be sure infection wasn't in lungs, gave him a shot of cough medicine and antibiotics along with cough medication, and we are headed home. It seems this clinic should at least have some emergency slots open each day for pets that need to be seen.

I called right at 8am because I had been up all night with my pet. Regular scheduled appointments are not the only care need for dogs, sometimes exceptions have to be made. I asked for her to speak to the doctor and she wouldn't. I expressed my frustration and she just said she couldn't help me. It was as if she didn't care at all that my dog was super sick, and I really needed her help with him.

It was someone else's job to care for my pet not MY own clinic. Emergency has been 10 times more attentive and kind in both situations with my dog. Such bad service and beyond frustrating and really not compassionate at all regarding my dog. In response to the clinics comment back to me, there was absolutely no communication from the person answering your phones regarding any of the below.

No explanation other than there were no appointments period, and I should just call "another clinic.". Might I say she was cold and very matter of fact when talking with me, despite that fact that I was near tears and she knew it. She didn't say your clinic offered emergency slots but they were all scheduled, which is confusing as I called right when you opened at 8am, she didn't say you had one doctor on staff, which is odd on a Friday morning, she didn't say that the same vet that saw my dog last time had to see him again and they weren't there.

None of that was communicated, so it makes it hard to understand anything other than the fact that she was not going to help me period. Your reception person could have handled this completely different. Every other clinic I called was kind and trying to help me even when they had long waits and no appointments, yours not so much. So please consider looking at how your front desk communicates and handles emergencies when they are turned away.

Dr. Taylor is so great treating my dogs and I love her communication style when she discusses treatment, diagnostics, and pot-op care. Her team is always friendly over the phone and when we arrive and/or pick up our pets. Overall, I've had great experiences and I thank you all for taking such good care of us. We appreciate you all.

This clinic used to be our go to VET clinic for many years before the original owner sold it to a big corporation. Since the transfer of ownership in late 2020, their staff never seems happy like the original team used to be, two times we noticed the prescription refills dosage were wrongly labeled (which can be VERY DANGEROUS if you don't pay attention & double check with your pet's weight & appropriate dosage). Dr. Harvey or whoever she assigned the job to, had missed several stitches when they were removed a week after a procedure, we had to bring the pet back to remove the missing ones.

They also seems to have a problem with employee turnovers, which clearly a result of bad management or corporate policies. We no longer use this clinic, it's very risky to trust a facility with unhappy staff & disorganized management.

Dr. Taylor has been my 13 year old dog's primary care provider for 6 years. I love her approach to care and Jolee, nervous on her best days, is very comfortable with her. I can't think of anyone else I'd trust my pet's care. Thank you, Dr. Taylor, for all you do for all of us!

Absolutely wonderful clinic and staff. We're new to Portland and so happy that we found this practice, as the staff are all so friendly + helpful and Dr. Harvey takes expert care of our Frenchie. She genuinely cares about him as a patient and always has the time to hear us out, give us all the detail we want, and give him excellent care. He also likes going there which is a hugely positive sign!

Went there with my elderly Dachshund Cooper and they were extremely gentle and affectionate, they were quick to provide service and managed the appointment very quickly. I did receive some bad news but the doctor handled telling me in an extremely delicate and sympathetic way. This is the best vet clinic, hands down. UPDATE: Unfortunately Cooper has passed very peacefully, but these vets are ABSOLUTELY the best.

After he passed they sent me a sympathy card where everyone signed it with super personal caring notes about Cooper. You guys are actually the best, it meant the world to me. Thank you Kathryn, Jade, Stephanie, Leah, Renae, Joy, Desiree, Joy, Darian, Mindy, and Rachel. You guys wrote beautiful messages that really warmed my heart. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would
