Been going here for over 11 years. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The office isn't fancy but they have always done a great job caring for my animals they are very reasonable in proving as well. They offer boarding services as well.

I loved the doctor that helped us with our sweet boy Chomper. The two assistants were very sweet and kind. So y'all did get the spelling of his name wrong I'll put chompers instead of chomper. But apples and oranges at this point it doesn't really matter. We miss our boy terribly but I know we made the right decision. Thank you all very much for being so kind to us and understanding. We will absolutely be back if anything else happens to one of our other animals God forbid

They saw my cat with a broken leg and did a great job casting her leg. The vet personally called me to discuss Xrays and options. I am very impressed. They actually answer the phone when you call (UNLIKE Country Brook Animal Hospital AND the Pet Mobile who direct you to their respective web sites, where you can't even make an appointment). Their prices are also reasonable. I will never go to a different vet again.

There is a reason that they have openings while the other vets are very busy. Our very sick 15 year old dog was brought in because the other vets in the area were too full. Dog was puking for about a week with some labored breathing. Ran expensive blood labs on their equipment, injected half a bag of water, a shot for nausea and pills for nausea. $477 for 45 minutes.

Dog still sick a week later so we did an emergency admission to our regular vet which went very differently. Regular vet did a very thorough physical, spending time listening to lung sounds, feeling the abdomen for problems. Found lungs to filled with fluid and congestive heart failure. Ended up having to put our fur baby to sleep.

The vet I was using moved anhour and a half away. It's just too far. I got lucky to find this place. I could have chatted with the receptionist all afternoon. LOVED the vet! the vet techs were petting my English mastiff and giving him treats. He acted like he didn't want to leave. I believe I have found my new vet. I definitely will be back.

Precious loves this place and we love this place. She thinks she's going to get a massage they have people standing all around her. They're doing nothing but loving on her and putting on her and it's showing her she will be okay. Awesome Place great people

The vet is nice and seems like he truly knows what he's doing he even takes the time to talk to you and answer any questions you might have. However, I've had issues with the front desk. I've been needing to have my dog's prescription approved for the past 3 days. Every time I call they say that they will get to it. Now my dog is late on his medication.

This last time that I called the lady said she would get to it and just hung up on me when I wasn't done speaking. If it weren't for the fact that the vet does relatively well, I would not be giving this place 4 stars.

My little rescue dog, Bo, a shi tzu male had been attacked earlier in the week by a very large dog which came inside thru the pet portal. Bo wouldn't eat anything which prompted me to take him to Forest Lane Animal Clinic. It's an old house but is neat and clean with out any clutter. The vet said he has been practicing animal medicine for 65 years. An incredible length of service.

He gave Bo an injection to calm him. Examined his abdomen after shaving some fur off and put a large bandage around the dog's belly and back. There was a muscle or something needing support.

I've brought several of our animals here over the past few years and Always paid my bill in full at the time of service. That being said, we had an emergency recently with our youngest cat, he'd been hit by a car out in front of our house but seemed to be fine. I just wanted the vet to check him over. We arrived at 5:15, they didnt close until 6:00 but the woman behind the desk told me that they were closing soon and wouldn't have time to look at our cat.

She then handed me a flyer to an emergency clinic. I just couldn't believe that they wouldn't even look at our cat. We ended up taking him to Country Brook animal clinic and they were closing but the vet chose to look at our cat, who was fine by the way. He called our cat the miracle cat and we will be going to them from now on.

I had called earlier today & asked the lady who answered the phone if they had availability for an emergency walk in. I tried to briefly explain the situation but she cut me off & told me that I could come on in at around 4:45pm, or even 5pm as 5pm was the cut off time for seeing pets. I told her that'd I'd be there before 5pm & she said okay we'll see you then & that was that.

I drove AN HR to pick up my friend's dog to take him there (as they're the ones that live near by) & the lady at the front told me that they didn't have time to see the dog as they still had 2 ppl with appts waiting in the lobby. If they knew their schedule was full, then why even bother on telling me to come on in at so & so time?! Total waste of my time! I would of understood if they had just told me, "No sorry we don't have time for an emergency walk in today, you can come in another day". Smh.

Yep. I tried to ignore the other bad reviews but that was a huge mistake. Dr. Mskimons (probably misspelled) was nice enough and the vet techs attempt to do their job well and almost did but yeah like I read elsewhere there was little in the way of kindness toward my dog. The male tech who had, what seemed to be, Napoleon Syndrome or maybe he'd had a bad day or some rough dogs to deal with but he treated my medium sized, sweet mannered dog as if he was a 125lb rambunctious puppy.

I told both him and the female tech to back off or I was going to leave. They did and when it came time for my dogs' blood to be drawn, Which the vet had to do because the male tech couldn't get it done, I let the male tech hold him down. I had to stand up with my dog watching over this tech so I felt some sort of relief. After only 1-3 minutes of watching the male tech hold our dog MY NINE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER was uncomfortable to the point that SHE SAID we should not come back.

This was before I said ANYTHING to the techs. Then when it was time to go, THE MALE TECH PICKED MY DOG UP OFF THE TABLE BY HIS COLLAR and his backside AND CONTINUES TO TRY TO CHOKE HIM WITH IT. I know this because I could barely get my fingers under his collar on the bottom side when he put our dog down. When you see this experience, do yourself a favor and fire your male tech and find a nice fresh out of high-school strong armed kid to pay, well.

Who likes dogs and acknowledges that they're animals with feelings and are all different. Not all of them need to be treated the same. We'll never come back unless that tech is gone!

We made an appt for 4:30, arrived at 4:15, we suspected an ear infection. Sat in waiting room for 45 minutes, no one else was there except for a gentleman that arrived 10 minutes after us, they took him back right away, an emergency. We continued to wait, another lady came in 5 pm, they discussed some xrays, then she went back to discuss with vet about her cats x-rays, she paid and left, we still waited, no one bothered to tell us how much longer or anything.

The vet techs continued to laugh and play and talk on the phone, while my dog scratched his ear so bad he started bleeding. Finally they took us to a room only to wait some more, the vet passed through our room looking for a chart, barely acknowledged us, said he was looking for a chart. I started to look for someone to help, found one of the young vet techs and asked him how much longer, he said they had an emergency and didn't know how much longer but I could come back next day, I had already overheard the lady on the phone say they were booked for appointments the next day, I said no thank you we will go somewhere else who actually cares if my dogs ears are bleeding, never again, use this place as a last resort, unless of course you know the vet techs, then they will get you in. Very unprofessional, I understand that emergencies happen but they could have communicated with us, not just let us waste an hour and a half.

Well I'm glad I took her in time. Because the person that gave me Kai said that she was a he but she really is a she. . Thanks to the vet. She would of gotten pregnant by this 2 males outside. I would have ben furious. They did a great job. Very small cut. Now I just hope she will be calm now. Onesie it put on. But I have to get a cone collar for her.

Forest Lane Animal Clinic is an amazing clinic. Dr. Mskimmins and his team are kind, helpful and truly care for animals. They are not trying to take an advantage of people like many of the vets around Dallas. Our dog had a tumor that wouldn't heal. After going to several vets including Med Vet, our dog was not healing and we were being drained thousands of dollars.

We thankfully found Forest Lane where we met with Dr. Dunn and Dr. Mskimmins. They helped us figure out what it was and we're able to perform surgery on our dog for a much more resasonable price. They followed up for weeks to make sure my dog was healing well and helped us several times whenour dog had different reactions to the meds. They are kind, easy to work with, affordable and truly have an amazing amount of knowledge about animals. We are very thankful for the entire team and we will only be coming to them in the future. We are thankful that they were able to save our corgi's life.

I took my cats for shots and flee treatment. It was a good service. The doctor also diagnosed my cat with solar dermatitis. I moved to a house and he has access to my back yard thru a catio, and his nose was so bad. Well, i took care of it, and yep it is gone, i just need to be careful during summer time

DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ANIMALS HERE! "We have a dedicated team of professionals who take the care of your furry family member seriously. " is what the website says. NOT TRUE AT ALL! This vet is Extremely rude, ZERO compassion, ZERO respect and was horrible to his staff, in front of client. REGRET EVERY DAY going to this horrible clinic. This "Dr" needs to Retire. AND said so himself to me when I went to discuss his demeanor and to discuss the horrible experience had at this clinic!

This "Dr" Has no business doing what he does. Please take your animals elsewhere. Horrible bed side manner, rude, disrespectful and the most horrible experience EVER had at a veterinarian office. He has no heart at all. I feel for the animals that are treated here. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!

If you are thinking about getting your cat declawed, DONT! And if you decide to anyway, please do not go here to Forest Lane! I am beyond upset with how my cat has been treated. Particularly with the primary veterinarian that operates out of this place. I took my cat in on a Monday and picked him up on a Wednesday. Forest Lane talks about how laser removal is much better for the cat and heals faster, and maybe with other vets it is, but not with this one.

When my wife picked up my cat and brought him home, she placed him in our bathroom away from anything that could harm him. He began bleeding minutes from being placed in the bathroom. So I got the cat back in the carrier and rushed him back to Forest Lane to fix the problem. The Vet, looked at his paws and said that this happens from time to time, and then put sanitized super glue essentially on the paw(did not clean the paw before doing so).

He then sent me on my way. Not even 30 seconds after I got home and set the cat in the bathroom, did the cat start bleeding again. (Pic below to show) I called the clinic(assistant answered) and told them what was happening. They told me to bring him back and bring his food and medicine. I got him back in the carrier with a towel and rushed back to the Vet with the supplies.

The Vet took a look again this time, however, began to show ME how to put on the glue. I honestly was speechless. I told him, "I'm not coming back again today, you need to keep the cat overnight and fix his paw. I'm not a vet." He was telling me initially that if it happens again, how to apply glue to the cats paw. At this point, the cat had already been so much, but I needed the vet to FIX it.

We picked the cat up on that following Saturday, however the next 48 hours the cat began to stop walking, even with the pain medication. We are now at the point of taking him to a new vet to get him sorted out. ***I will update the post as I get new info***

A few days ago, my dog started acting unlike herself, then very ill. Regurgitating, low energy, dehydration, and watery stool. My family and I decided to give it 24 hours for her to come back around, but she hadn't, so we decided to look for a local vet that accepted walk-ins. It was my first-time visit and initially, I was a tad bit put off by the odor.

The woman at the front that signed me in was very kind, and the kindness continued once my dog was seen to. I appreciated how open, honest, and even conversational everyone was. I could tell they were enthusiastic about making sure my dog was okay and helping me with anything I needed to understand. The cost was quite steep, but I truly felt it was worth it.

Later that day, I ended up having to call to ask about the medications and the guy that picked up answered all of my questions without hesitation and made sure to let me know to call any time I needed and that no question was a silly one. His words, "if you have 10 questions, call us 10 times and we'll help you!" Very polite! So far, my dog is back to her normal self! All-in-all, I had a nice experience coming to this clinic. I'm grateful for their assistance, and I'll be sure to come back when necessary!

I witnessed a dog get hit by a car. I scooped her up and raced to the closest vet office, Forest Lane Animal Clinic. They immediately took her back to treat her. They took great care of her for 3 days until she was well enough to go to a foster until her owner is found. They were concerned for her well being and not about getting paid. They genuinely care about the animals.

This place is awesome! I could never say enough great things about the staff and the way they treated my dog. Compared to other vet clinics this place feels like more than "a business" and I'm so glad I chose them to spay Denali. I truly feel that she was in the best care she could have possibly been in and even came home with her nails trimmed (something I always put off because she hates it so much) :) Very informative, patient, and upfront staff. No hidden fees, misinformation, etc. Smooth and easy process. This will be Denali's regular vet from now on! Thank you guys!

My Yorkie was quite sick (I was out of town on a business trip) so my granddaughter took him to Forest Lane. The doctor(s) gave a guess at what was wrong, prescribed the wrong medication, charged wayyy too much. Later that evening he had to be taken to an animal hospital where proper care (blood work, X-ray) was done. He stayed two nights at the hospital. Had the advice of the "doctor"from Forest Lane been followed I would have lost my little dog. Don't take your animals to this Clinic.

I went here because they are licensed to do international health certificates I went with plenty of time to get all the shots my dog needed I was told to go 21 days before the day of travel and I did. They told me to go 10 days before the date of travel and I did. Then they contact me saying the USDA call saying my dog was missing a shot she supposed to have 21 days prior the trip.

They keep blaming that my regular vet should've give her the shot, I told them they don't do health certificates that's why I bring my dog to Forest lane Animal Clinic. My advice is that if you need this kind of thing done to go somewhere else and ask how much experience they have My children are devastated because their dog will not be able to go with us

3.5 stars --- We moved from PG to Garland about 2 years ago and wishing months, got a call saying my dog who was taken a year before the move was found in Oak Cliff. Within months, he started having horrible back problems; which he never had before. I took my baby here and was told he has a slipped disk and recommended some drugs to help him with the pain.

At one point, his pain was so bad to where he refused to get up to go use the bathroom. I took him and they recommended a treatment so of course I said do it. When I picked him up later that day, he was back to his old self. The vet was so nice and wrote down some OTC vitamins to put him too. While he will forever have the slipped disk problem, he's got a good team behind him. It's now been 2 years, and this is the only vet I'll take him and my other dog, Patron, too.

I will admit, I think they are a little pricy, but, I have found them to be honest and upfront about everything. My only suggestion would to offer some discounts as a way of saying thank you to loyal customers (I.e. The 6th box of flea control is free, 10% after so many points earned kind of deal, holiday specials, etc.)

I took my grandmothers cat who's diabetic to Forest Lane Animal Clinic this morning because his primary veterinarian was open but no DVM on staff. He was experiencing Hypoglycemia symptoms: disoriented, staggering, unresponsive and needed immediate attention. I didn't want to take him to the ER so I called Forest Lane Animal Clinic and they immediately got us in. Daniel Tellez at Forest Lane Animal Clinic was amazing!

He quickly got us back in the exam room, tested his blood glucose and treated him immediately and stabilized him enough for us to take him home and treat/monitor him in the comfort of our own home. I highly recommend this clinic! You won't be disappointed!

DO NOT GO HERE. oh man, this place is the worst vet clinic I have ever seen. It is old, run down, with no effort to make it look nice at all. The kennel area is dark and falling-apart. I'm sure it's functional, but it just looks terrible and is probably not the best place for your pet. Another thing I noticed is that they do xrays in the same room they keep sick patients. the animals don't have any protection from the rays. when I asked the vet about this, he just brushed it off and pretty much said "it's ok, don't worry about it". unless you absolutely cannot afford another place, STAY AWAY!
