We are located on 40+ acres of rolling hills, pastures and a manicured wooded park, offering three natural spring fed ponds for swimming and exercise, in New Windsor Maryland. We offer boarding for not only dogs, but cats and any caged animal you can think of! Our climate control system provides air conditioning, filtration, and outside air exchange during the spring and summer months.My family and I adopted one of your shepherds on Halloween of this past year! He is PERFECT! He is beautiful, easy to train so far, very good with our 3 1/2 year old son, and just a great addition!

Advanced obedience courses are offered as well as Schutzhund training and Personal protection. Only one word comes to mind to describe Joyce - unique! Joyce has always had an affinity for animals, and particularly dogs. A recognized leader in the world of dog training and German Shepherd breeding, she is always described as a woman of vision and high integrity, but we like to think of her in her role as daily leader of one of the best boarding facilities the country has to offer.From lovable mutts to prized champions, we have all of the love and care they'll ever need right here at Misty Ridge!
The kennel has fifteen picture-windows while the cattery has three. Each offers a southern exposure for natural winter warmth augmented by our climate control system. The kennel and cattery climate control systems provide air filtration and outside air exchange, thereby eliminating air-born viruses and bacteria.
The outside facilities are roomy and offer a wonderful view for our pampered puppies and guests. While your pets spend time at Misty Ridge Animal Resort we strive to make them feel at home. We can provide them with a special diet, and can administer any medications they require. Your loved ones will be monitored at all times for their eating, stool, and playtime to be sure of their continual health and safety.
Please give Misty Ridge at least a 24-hour notice of your needs at pick-up to ensure that we can accommodate your travel. Our chauffeur can be at your residence either for pick-up or delivery Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Joyce understands emergencies occur and we will do everything possible to accommodate your needs.
