Dr. Kristy Bennett grew up in Columbia, Maryland. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Maryland at College Park, she attended the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors in 2001 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation from vet school, Dr. Bennett spent several years practicing at small animal practices in Maryland to develop and perfect her medical and surgical skills before moving to England with her husband, where she practiced in Oxfordshire.

Services
You work hard to ensure that your furry family member has the best possible life. That's why partnering with a veterinary provider who genuinely cares for you both is so important. At Montgomery Village Animal Hospital, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services to address your pet's specific veterinary needs.
Preventative or general wellness care means a proactive approach to medicine. Ideally, problems are caught before they become more serious - and more expensive - and it frees you and your pet to spend your time doing what you really want to do: enjoy each other's company and unconditional love. At Montgomery Village Animal Hospital, we cherish the opportunity we have to nourish and care for pets over the course of a lifetime. We pamper our puppy and kitten patients, adore our adults, and celebrate our seniors.
Did you know that, according to the American Veterinary Dental Society, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of oral disease by the age of three? This highlights a very scary truth about poor dental health and pets - a lack of dental care can significantly impact your pet's quality of life and could even shorten it.
There's no getting around it - surgery for our pets is always a little scary, even when the procedure is as simple as a spay or neuter. It's impossible not to worry about whether or not your best friend is ready and healthy enough for surgery, and, of course, there's anesthesia and recovery time to consider.

I absolutely adore Dr. Bennett and the staff at MVAH. I have a very, very large dog who is not a fan of going to the vet and everyone here has always been so welcoming, patient, and understanding. Dr. Bennett treats both me and my dog with respect, I've always felt her to be extremely honest and compassionate, always offering several possible solutions, and making me feel comfortable in whatever decision I make, always calls to follow-up on my dog's progress or condition even if it's after a routine visit. Being a full-service hospital, it might not be the cheapest option around but in my opinion they are MORE than worth it.

I've been coming to this Vet for a few years. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They take good care of my dogs, Bruno and Zoe.

Great location. Very clean facilities. Helpful staff. Dr. Bennett herself was patient, caring, and informative. There was a slight payment issue but they resolved it quickly for me. They also booked me for wrong month but same date so I showed up on what I thought was the right date, and they were able to make it work for me despite being busy. This is the kind of customer service I look for. Mistakes can happen anywhere but what matters is how they are being handled.

My experience with Dr. Bennett was horrible. She was very unprofessional, judgmental and accusatory towards me and my daughter as we chose her office to put our dog that we've had for 15 urs to sleep. She made statements like it's strange, why are you here at this office. and other statements and questions that made us feel worse than we already were feeling given the reason we were there.

We we're not asked about any medical records over the phone nor did the person I was speaking with on the phone say it would be necessary for the Dr. to perform the euthanasia. I would think if it were so important to have that info someone would or should have reach out two wks prior as that's when our appt was set. I was so shocked by her line of questioning.

I had spoken with someone over the phone on Jan. 24th, who was pleasant, they explained the procedure and they set me up for an appointment on Feb 19 to have our dog put to sleep. Plenty of time to request any additional info or records. She was so rude to us! And that is so unacceptable as she could see we were physically upset by what we were about to endure.

She was so incredibly rude that two of her staff apologized for her repeatedly to me and my daughter. She didn't even have the decency to apologize us. Shameful! Having to put our pet to sleep was heartbreaking enough. but to have it compounded by Dr. Bennett cold and callous treatment of us on that day will be etched in our memories, when it shouldn't have been a part of the experience. Do better Dr. Bennett!

Dr Bennett has gone above and beyond for my girl. She has been very on top of things and responsive, even outside of normal business hours, all to make sure my cat was taken care of. She very much cares about her clients and does a great job answering questions in a clear way. I'm so glad we brought our cat here for care.

Amazing care given to my new rescue dog today. My dog was so scared and anxious for her first visit here. Dr. McKnight was calm, patient and compassionate. She took extra time with us and was able to complete her exam despite my dog's nervousness. I have always been happy with the care here for my other dog too. Today was just especially challenging

Hi, Dr. Bennett and her staff are great! They saw our very nervous dog on short notice to treat an issue with his eye. They were super warm and comforting, making our dog feel better about being at the vet. We really appreciate their care!

I've been taking my pets (3 cats and a dog) to see Dr. Bennett for years, and really appreciate the time she takes with them. She is always ready to answer my questions, and is very kind to my "kids". Through her perseverance she was able to diagnose my cat with a very rare (and thank goodness treatable!) condition, even when a radiologist said it was probably cancer!

I think that she offers all options for treatments and gives her best recommendations, always with her top priority being the health of my pets. I also find the staff very friendly. While I have not taken my pets to see the other doctor (Dr. McKnight), I have spoken with her and found her very nice and knowledgeable as well.

Dr. Bennett really took her time putting my cat at ease - he's very scared and we had the best experience he's ever had with a vet at this hospital. Great practical advice and the techs were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

0 stars for this place. What they did to my dog is unacceptable. April 3 was his last time in that place. Never ever taking my dog back to that place again. I was told they had no groomer in that day but they could still trim my dog's hair. My brother took our dog to this appointment and after his regular check up the vet took him for that trim when she brought him out he no hair they had shaved it all off and my dog had scrapes all over his body they actually hurt my dog.

My brother never complains so he just paid for everything and left. If I would have been there I would have not paid for that grooming service charge of $65 and probably yell at someone because I was mad as hell when I got home and saw my dog like that. I pay a grooming service because I don't want to hurt my dog and that's what these people did. I could have done a better job myself and I have no training at all.

My brother told me that the vet didn't even apologize for what they had done to my dog. Not only did they hurt him they left patches of long hair in some places of his body. Whoever did this had clearly never done it before or was really mad and took it out on my dog. I don't think these people care about the pets they see they only care about the MONEY. My dog was whining that day because he was hurting. Yesterday I had to take him to the emergency veterinary because I couldn't see him in pain anymore.
