Moonshadow Kennel

We have taken our two pups (ages 3 and 9 months) to Moonshadow for daycare three times now. The second time we went, the staff had already remembered who they were! I like the amount of rest time they have, because our 9 month old foxhound will not know when to stop and needs the downtime to settle and not hurt herself! We love the staff so far, and our experience that the next time we need boarding we are thinking of now bringing them to Moonshadow. Our girls go back tomorrow and will be very excited for their playtime!

I have a 6 year old Border Collie/Lab named Cloe and she loves Moonshadow! She is typically shy, but she warmed right up at our first visit here. The staff is always so friendly and happy to see her and I can tell she loves coming here. We recently moved to SC and have had to travel a lot for various weddings so it makes me happy to leave her at a place she is loved! Thank you Moonshadow!

My dog Lawrence has been going to daycare and occasional boarding at moonshadow for about a year now. As soon as we turn the corner into the drive way he starts freaking out and when we are walking in he is always dragging me until he sees one their staff members. Every staff member I have talked to or encounter is always extremely professional and friendly.

I also just started using their groomer Brandi who is amazing! Lawrence came out looking perfect and acting proud as could be. I have recommended moonshadow to coworkers and friends and will continue to do so. I always know my dog is safe when in their care which gives me so much comfort!

I Brought my dog here Saturday and am very particular that If I am paying for a daycare I like my dog to be playing, so when I dropped my dog off for the first time I asked if she would be put in a kennel the whole day (as I already see 10 others lined in a kennel behind the office) they respond with no so I let them take her and they instantly put her in an outdoor crate alone, I sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes and waited before leaving the facility to see if they would give her free time or let her out and they didn't so I took her and left. And I'm sorry but "nap time" 12-3 just sounds like bull to me.

I have a 1.5 year old German shepherd 'puppy' that I brought home right before quarantine last year. This pup grew through his first year really only knowing me and his two four-legged brothers. He is not very used to people or dogs other than his brother. Moonshadow was the first, and only, place I brought Maximus to. He was very scared and anxious his first day there and the staff was so loving and patient with him.

They have been so helpful and are extremely responsive. I am very grateful for this kennel as my boy transitions from losing his brother (had to put him down 2 months ago) and becomes more acclimated with other dogs and people.

Moonshadow Pet Resort on Old Pond Road on Johns Island is a well managed pet resort that is a quality option for just about any pet that you have that needs care. The staff here is very attentive and caring for all of the pets that they care for. I have had a really good experience every time I have used them.

Great, friendly staff. They took excellent care of my Gizmo. She loved it. This was my first time boarding her and I was a bit nervous, they made me feel at ease and cared for her as if she were their own. We will definitely use again.

My dog stayed here twice. The first time he came home hungry and with bloody stools. This time I packed the exact amount of food. Not only was his nails not cut, but he had almost all of his food left. I called and asked for pictures, none were taken or sent. Dog owners beware. I hope Charleston County shuts them down.

We were in Charleston for a wedding, traveling from Columbia and heading to South Florida. We needed a place to keep our dog and kitty for a few hours while we celebrated at the wedding. The staff was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We needed a late pickup. We were given the number of the night caregiver and called when we were ready to pick up our babies. Very friendly and nice to work with for special requests.

This place is a great option for housing your pet while you're away. They have plenty of space, plenty of play time, and the staff really seems to love our fur babies like their own. We've been bringing our dog here for years and he loses his mind with excitement every time we turn into their driveway!

The price was very reasonable and they took great care of Penny. The dogs had an indoor/outdoor area to stay which offered enough exercise and stimulation. The staff also let the dogs have supervised play time at different times. They sent us home with her report card detailing how she was which was a cool touch. Will definitely be going back.

I travel for work frequently and have used Moonshadow Kennel many times. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating and you can tell they genuinely care for the animals they watch over. My dog Chloe is happy when she arrives and happy when I pick her up! You can tell she has had a good time. I will always use them and recommend them highly. I am very over protective of my dog and I feel very comfortable with them watching her while I am away.
