When you order medicine online not from this hospital, they will not reply to them. So that you have to go there again to pick up a hardcopy of the prescription and then mail to the seller. It's very inconvenient. I would not go there at the first place if I know this.

First time meeting Dr. Foster as covid prevented me going in with my dog and only brought him in for annuals and vaccines. This time he was having some issues She was very thorough and explained all that we need to do. The rest of the staff is always kind and professional.

Excellent and quick service. We are new to the area and one of our cats had an urgent medical issue and Mayfair got us in right away. Curbside service was excellent and communication was prompt. Quick check in; the doctor called to explain everything thoroughly and provide options/recommendations. Very pleased! Thank you!

We have been with Mayfair for 3 years now. They have treated us now from annual exams to surgeries. Dr. Smith and Dr. Bristol have both been great. They have guided us through cancer with sound and honest advice. We had the option to be referred out or stay within the practice. I am really happy with our decision to stay in house to receive our care.

I have felt reassured in my decision and my pups health and happiness this past month as we have navigated cancer removal. I don't know if the doctors see these reviews. but if so Marty and our family thank you for your help and care!

I went to Mayfair many years ago and while Dr. Santilli is an outstanding veterinarian with a calm and reassuring bedside manner and Dr. Smith also is wonderful. Dr. Foster is aggressive, unprofessional, and so defensive that she will cost the life of your pet with her inability to receive information that doesn''t fit into her very narrow clinical box.

I remember now why I stopped going to Mayfair when she wouldn't help me with an alternative treatment for my very difficult to medicate cat Peanut. This time she almost killed her brother. Despite myself not being rude to her about the situation and only informing her that I had taken him to his primary vet because he became so inactive on the pain meds prescribed that he needed emergency fluids (now twice) and that the other vet administered an antibiotic with my approval for his UTI she aggressively informed me that if I was going to go to other vets she no longer wanted us to come to the clinic.

The absolute arrogance that going to get help for my animals after SHE said oh its normal just keep him drugged for potentially weeks was outrageous enough. A proper professional would have said, goodness so glad you got help and while I may not agree with what they concluded or treated with you should always do what you think is right. Perhaps we can collaborate to provide the best care for you pet. Not her. Don't question her or she will be rude, demeaning, condescending and aggressive on top of telling you to never come back. The hallmarks of a bad doctor.

Dr. Foster has been terrific to our two dogs. Particularly, she did a tremendous job helping us with our golden doodle's ear infection by referring us to a specialist. We had seen half a dozen veterinarians that tried to treat it themselves, and this led to a twelve month long infection, plus a potential surgery. Dr Foster's knowledge of the infection was outstanding, but we were more impressed with her awareness of what to do when conventional care doesn't cut it. I highly recommend Dr Foster!

We've been going to Mayfair for almost 10 years for our dogs and cats. We board them there as well when we go out of town, and Raven, the groomer, is amazing. I had to put my 16 year old cat to sleep a few weeks ago, and they were great and very compassionate throughout the process.

Great experience from day one! I felt compelled to write a review when I saw the low rating. I've been going to Mayfair since I adopted my pup in June 2020. The entire team has been great, especially Dr. Foster. Very professional, prompt and they take the time to talk to you. You can tell they are not only knowledgeable but really care about your furry friend. Definitely recommend.

9 minutes ago My 1 and a year 1/2 year old Golden Retriever puppy was diagnosed with Luxating Patella in both hind knees! I was told by Dr. Lee at VHS to put him down that there was nothing that could be done for him! Dr. John Santilli was recommended to me by a dear friend! He was a God Send! Chance just had his 2nd SUCCESSFUL knee surgery! Dr. Santilli gave my puppy a second chance at being a normal puppy!

If it wasn't for him and the staff at Mayfair Animal Hospital, I wouldn't be able to give my puppy a normal puppy life! I am forever in debt to the entire staff! I wish I could give them more than 5! They deserve so much more!

Mayfair Animal Hospital is the best ever. They are excellent in professional care and treat all with love and respect. I have taken my pets there for 30 years. All the doctors and staff are wonderful. I always feel confident that my pet is getting the best treatment. Dr. Bristol has treated my 3 cats and 4 dogs over 30 years. We all love her.

I have been going to Mayfair Animal Hospital for many years. On a scale of 0-10, Mayfair is definitely a 15! Upon walking in the door, you enter a very clean, cheerful environment. The staff greets you with a big smile and is immediately ready to address your issues. There are no words to express the care and concern given regarding your precious pet. Dr. Bristol and all the doctors are superb, they treat your pet as if their own, their knowledge is unbelievable!

From the groomer to all the staff your pet is # 1 concern. The hours are accommodating including Saturdays and later hours on Thursday evening. I feel we are privileged to have such an animal hospital in our area!

The staff at Mayfair are absolutely wonderful. Extremely friendly and professional. They are very gentle with my dog who tends to be really nervous at the vet, and they always recommend the best care for him keeping in mind both my dog and myself. I would recommend them to any pet owner.dog, cat, bird or other

I've been going to Mayfair for over 20 years. They have taken care of two of my dogs and I wouldn't go anywhere else. While I primarily see Dr. Susan Bristol, I've also seen Dr. Santilli, Dr. Foster, Dr. Smith and Dr. Rusnak and all of them are wonderful. Dr. Bristol has always treated my dogs as if they're her own and I trust her and all the other doctors here completely. Their technicians are very caring and the office staff has always been friendly. I highly recommend them!

My dogs have been patients here since 2007. We have used their boarding services, had regular teeth cleanings, neutering and annual check ups. We have literally spent thousands of dollars here and referred people in the past. Last week our dog had a bladder infection - we called and asked to be seen right away - we live less than 5 minutes away. It was 4:20 p.m. - they refused to see us because they were trying to get out of there for the day.

Our poor dog had to wait for the emergency clinic to open up at 5:30 p.m. and then another 2 hours when all she needed was an antibiotic. I have noticed Mayfair has been declining in their service since their office manager left. They really need to realize they are in a service industry and without service they won't last. We are on the hunt for somewhere new. Somewhere the prices are fair, the services caring, and the staff congenial. Think twice before you select Mayfair.

I went here for 8 months with my Black Lab. My lab was treated for weight gain. They put my dog on a diet that continued to reduce the serving size monthly but my dog kept gaining weight. By the 7th month my dog that weighed 80 pounds was down to 1 cup of food a day! She was hungry all the time and finally took my dog back to my vet in another state we moved from.

As soon as I walked through the door, he knew she had an over active thyroid that had been misdiagnosed by these quacks. This is very common in Labs and Retrievers and how could a vet not know this. This place almost killed my dog! DO NOT GO HERE. I wouldn't take roadkill to these idiots. If you care about your pet, go any place other than here!

I brought my 11 1/2 year old maltese here a few days ago. We'd never been here before, but it was an emergency - something was wrong with my little guy. He'd been walking in circles, not eating or drinking, and seemed generally lethargic - I knew something wasn't right. I brought him in here at 4:30 and was able to see a vet within half an hour or so despite not having an appointment.

I cannot remember the name of the woman vet I met with, nor the assistant - but both were very attentive and comforting. It became evident as the hours ticked by that my little guy was not going to make it through the day. I was grateful to not feel rushed and was allowed several moments of privacy to both collect myself and say goodbye to my dog.

I was in the room while he was put to sleep, and was talked through the entire procedure as things occurred. When it was all over, I was allowed to stay as long as I needed in order to say my final goodbyes. Even though I lost one of my best friends that day, I was glad to learn of this animal hospital and will definitely be bringing my other dog there for all of her future needs.

We take our cats here and have since we came to carry over a gazillion years ago. They are really good with cats, providing calm careful care and are very sensitive to the inevitable time when you have to say good-bye to an older pet. I trust their recommendations and don't find them pushy on services that are questionable.

Mayfair is one of the vets I've been trying out in my search for a vet who wants to be a vet and not a hawker of every medical procedure invented. It's been a challenging quest. Mayfair is one of the only vets in the Raleigh area that's a member of the AAHA. In my experience with AAHA facilities there's always a consistency of treatment.

That doesn't mean I'll like the vet or even his or her recommendation but it does mean that in my experience there will be a consistent methodology in treatment protocols. That consistency was true at Mayfair. The first vet I saw took lots of time to get to know my pet and recommended various alternatives to treating an issue common in an elderly pet -- starting with the simple and natural.

When I made another visit unrelated to the first several weeks later and saw yet another vet, the second doc mirrored the same concern and thoroughness of the first. This one even took time to listen to my concerns about the recommended treatment options. Although I haven't settled on a vet or vet practice yet, I'll definitely keep Mayfair in mind.

The only negatives in my limited experience were a noisy waiting room both times I was there (morning and late afternoon), techs who seemed rushed, and others who seemed in a constant state of scrambling. Fortunately, it worked out fine and I like both the doctor-vets I saw.

I just moved here from Chicago a week ago. Our puppy has had stomach issues over the last week, which we have attributed to stress of moving and seeing all the moving boxes.so we figured it would be good to go ahead and get him checked out and establish a relationship with a vet. My friend recommended Mayfair and said her parents have been coming here for 20 years.

With that track record, I decided to check them out. I called on a Thursday morning and they were able to get me on Friday morning with Dr. Bristol. I was very happy with the visit. Melissa (vet assistant) was friendly and answered all our questions before Dr. Bristol came in. Dr. Briston was very thorough and was good with our puppy. We never felt rushed.

She found that he had a slight bacterial infection so put him on an antibotic. She gave us lots of good information, including dental cleaning, ear cleaning, and trainer recommendations. Definitely will keep Dr. Bristol as our vet.
