Protecting your pet from contagious disease, is one of the most important ways to care for your pet. Annual exams and vaccinations assist in identifying small problems before they become major concerns. These annual visits allow us to conduct a comprehensive physical exam, including internal parasite testing.
We love to board your pets at Opelika Animal Hospital! We strive to provide 5 star accommodations for your babies while you are away. Bedding, toys and meals are all provided with boarding at OAH. We are happy to feed any diets or treats you bring for your pets while boarding but it is not required.

They have a great caring staff! I really like how they treated me like a local customer. They even trimmed my dogs toenails for free when I didn't expect them to do so, it was a very lovely & kind gesture! I am super happy as they took very good care of my dog! I will gladly go back!

I would have to say after several visits now with our dog that it seems that all they are concerned about is money. They don't seek approval for charges and when you ask to wait with certain things until you spoke to a doctor they just already go ahead and do things without approval. When you call in for results because it takes forever for them to respond (sometimes they call after 9 pm at night which is ridiculous), you always get a different answer as to why the doctor did not call yet.

The office staff is far from friendly and are gossiping while customers are present in the lobby. It always seems very chaotic and unorganized and again, very short and not friendly at all except for maybe one exception. I told the one on the phone (who was actually yelling so I raised my voice too) that maybe next time I should not pay anything until I actually get the results of examinations that have been done. maybe they are going to be more concerned about delivering results in a timely and friendlier fashion.

How do they think people pay the bills there? By sitting home waiting for them to call? I don't think many bills would get paid that way because their prices are getting to be outrageous. Probably time to take our little one somewhere else and get FRIENDLY service for our money. Another thing I need to add here is that I would never recommend to anyone to leave their pet behind there as we had to do with ours.

No matter if it is for surgery or because certain examination need to be done or even for just a hair cut. Our dog was so stressed out from sitting in a cage for hours on end while they promise to not let her wait forever because she does have separation anxiety. For over a week she was not herself and the first 3 days she was actually pretty sick as in vomiting and diarrhea and not very willing to eat.

The first time we had to leave her there we thought it was maybe normal but not after the third time and another thing is the last time we had to leave her there she smelled like urine when we got her back. The quality of service has changed so much because several years ago it wasn't like that but now it always is the case that it really feels like they do not give one yota about our dog but they sure do about our wallet.

The vets are great but the office associates leave something to be desired. The office is not very friendly and the office manager is very salty. I always have problems with the Snips program. They sould not offer it if they are not going to honor it. This is what keeps me from using them for all my vet needs.

Dr. Lybbi Epperson is absolutely wonderful. My sweet pups were spayed here and she did a great job. One of my dogs had complications during surgery due to a clotting issue and she was wonderful at explaining everything and made sure my baby made it through the surgery. She was very reassuring and answered all of my concerns. Thank you Dr. Epperson!

Love this place! The doctors and staff are all so welcoming. They make you feel like your pet is the most special one in their care even when they have dozens of others. Highly recommend them!

I bring my fur babies here for literally everything from medication to baths/ grooming, shots and emergencies. Everyone is very nice. They have worked with me on vet bills when I needed them to and the veterinarians are the best, you can tell they have a heart for what they do. I highly recommend OAH

Love this hospital! I can always count on them no matter what big or small issues I encounter with my pets! I especially love that it's "walk in" because other places won't see you for weeks. So glad I found this place!

DO NOT go here for cremation purposes! Especially if you want the remains back. If you do go here ASK QUESTIONS before you go. They only offer one option an it's $330 that's just for the cremation, if they do anything else it's more. They don't tell you this till after you have taken your dying dog there and you have to put her to sleep an you are upset an grieving your loss.

Go to Parkway Animal Hospital or Fur Buds they give you different options and cost alot less. We will never go back! A little more advice. If you have a older animal and you know you will be facing this tough choice soon, do your homework now so you will know where you're going to take them and how much it will cost. It's a painful thing to have to do. So be prepared.

I arrived around 4:30 p.m. to drop my dog off to be boarded for the weekend. An hour later after several steps of getting registered mixed with five to ten minute intervals of waiting they informed me that my dog would have to get four shots before they would board him which was going to cost another hundred dollars. I didn't mind getting him vaccinated but I didn't like getting informed about the $100 cost, which seems extremely high to me, when I had already been there for an hour and it was too late in the day to go anywhere else to board my dog.

This animal clinic only has a 30-minute window to pick up your pet on a Sunday so I had to board him the extra night. So fast forward to Monday morning when I pick my dog up; the first words out of the technician's mouth were, "The total cost of boarding along with the shots we gave him today." I didn't even realize what that meant when he said it, but then my dog acted sad and mopey the rest of the day and i said to myself that it was maybe because he'd just had shots.

Tell me why they waited until Monday morning to give my dog the shots that were "required" for him to even enter the facility to be boarded? In hindsight, I'm not sure what made my dog act so strangely when i got him home, but it was almost a week before he was back to normal, especially in his kennel. Lastly, there is a fee of 3%of the total anytime you use a card to pay, which i discovered after i paid.

While i was waiting, on both days i saw nearly every customer being upsold on what services/products they were already buying and i saw multiple employees tactically suggesting more procedures, more services, more tests, and more shots and pills. I've only used this place once, and i won't go back. I should also mention that multiple others have brought up this place in conversation and had the same kind of money-centered shady experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My fur baby was struck by a car last Friday and this was the only place that was willing to help me. They had great communication and were very friendly. My bill was a bit higher than I expected, but it was well worth it!
