Takes excellent care of my kitties. My female Samantha is very shy but comes out to see them when they visit. Cats are never upset because we have to go out of town. Wouldn't use anyone else. Great business practices. Several of my dog grooming client use them and are very happy with Carole & the sitters/walkers and tell me so when they have their pets groomed.

I'm not certain why Pawsome has negative reviews. Maybe some people expect too much or they legitimately had an issue, but we've used Carole & her team at Pawsome for many years & they've been great! She's accommodated us last minute, added a visit when we've hit a travel snag & always have made sure we made it home so the pets aren't alone. The Pawsome team & especially Carole are terrific!

I used them many years ago. It was a bad experience. Came home early on a day that it was raining very lightly. The pet sitter was just leaving. My dog was completely dry. The contractor working at my house said the pet sitter did not walk the dog. I was paying for a daily dog walk. The business owner would not believe me.

Poor to fair is too generous of a rating. I would not recommend Pawsome at all. One of our cats was locked in a room for a week while we hired Pawsome to come care for our cats daily. We heard him meowing loudly the second we opened the door. We eventually found the note from Pawsome that said they never saw the cats but put out treats that were eaten, so everything must have been ok.

When you have multiple cats, eaten treats do not indicate all is fine. When we asked whey they didn't contact us when they didn't see any of the three cats after several days, Pawsome sent us a lengthy response that basically said they take zero responsibility for finding cats if they don't come out right away and are only there to provide food, water, and clean litter, and gave us a list of reasons why they situation could not possibly be their fault because there were any number of ways he could have been closed in a room.

We don't blame Pawsome for the cat getting in the room and assume that part was not their fault. However, you hire a pet sitter to ensure your pets are safe and well cared for while you're gone. We fault them for not taking, in our opinion, reasonable effort to ensure that the pets were safe. Not seeing any animals for a week and assuming all is fine is not acceptable.

I would expect a responsible pet sitter to at least contact the owners if they haven't seen any of the pets for several days. Pawsome had cared for our cats several times, always noting that they had come out, so I would also expect them to notice that this was unusual for our pets, given the previous visits. Also, I find it extremely hard to believe the cat made zero noise on over the course of the week they were pet sitting.

Given that the sitter would have had to walk right by the room the cat was in to clean one of the litter boxes, that makes me believe they, at best, were not cleaning all the boxes as promised, possibly did not come to the house daily as they were paid to do, and, at worst, heard him and completely ignored the situation, as their email indicated they are not responsible for letting animals out of enclosed spaces.

We ended up with a sick animal and a destroyed room - in addition to going to the bathroom in the room, he tried to claw his way out under the door. We expected at least a refund of the money paid, as one of our pets was harmed under Pawsome's care, but didn't get any offer of a refund, nor did we get an apology. Maybe they are fine with dogs, but I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for cat sitting.
