PerPETuate develops and preserves cell lines than can be used to clone pets. The procedure requires two small pieces of skin that your veterinarian collects and ships to PerPETuate's laboratory for processing. Viable tissue can be collected from live or recently deceased animals. The cost for developing a cell line is $1200. | Emergencies DNA can be preserved from animals after their death. In some cases we were able to develop cell lines from deceased pets up to six days after their death. In other cases we have failed to preserve DNA from pets that had been dead for only one day. |
