Pet camp is truly great. Our pup, Scuttle, has so much fun there and the staff/counselors/enrichment team is friendly and awesome! Im so grateful to have a place to leave our pup that feels so welcoming and really fun for the dogs. Thank you to everyone at Pet Camp! Scuttle loves you!

Our cats get great care at Pet Camp. The staff make sure that they know the needs and preferences of the cats, and of ours. We feel good having our cats at their campsite.

We are so pleased with the amazing care Pet Camp SF, and all their staff, have given to our dog, Buckley, during his extended stays with them! Buckley is always excited when he arrives there and comes home healthy, happy and well cared for! We would highly recommend Pet Camp SF!

My complainy 17 year old kitty is taken great care of at Cat Safari. Even though she now needs some medication, they take care of everything, and I check those cute daily photos and she does great there.

Chipper spent his first two days and nights at Pet Camp and returned to us healthy and happy. The staff were kind enough to stay a few extra minutes past closing to let us pick him up earlier than planned. He's a 15-lb Chihuahua mix and so I was worried he might get chased by bigger dogs but they said he did well and he looked fine in the camper cameos. Thanks Pet Camp!

5 stars for Daniel, the trainer that's around during the puppy socials. You can tell he loves the pups, knows what he's doing and engages everyone. While the rest of the staff is super friendly too, I would prefer to have fewer wag employees in the room during the socials and just have Daniel, the pups and the parents. They've been a new addition and it tends to get a little crowded with so many more people in there. But overall great experience and it makes me interested in potentially doing daycare with wag.

A fun an activity filled space for boarding dogs. Not inexpensive but dogs can go outside and play all day.

Not happy at all about our dog Bella's last visit here. Her previous two stays were without issue. Considering the circumstances of her visit this week, I find the lack of communication disturbing. We boarded her Sat-Wed while we were out of town. We get the back-country package every visit because she's well-socialized, needs the exercise and never had issues before. She's in close contact with dozens of pets and strangers every day. Bella is vocal and we know this--she's a hound breed.

She barks when she plays and bays when she's treeing or uncomfortable. We picked her up on Wednesday and they told us she might sound hoarse because she was extremely vocal the entire time. We shrug this off because "might" doesn't indicate a clear issue. Hoarse? How's this for hoarse, her larynx is completely shot and she hasn't tried to bark or bay for 3 days now. She's showing signs of depression with low energy and no interest in playing or being outside.

This dog has bayed, barked and done her zoomie squeals throughout the day for nearly 7 years without issue. I can't fathom how out of control her vocalizing had to be for her to come down with laryngitis. Her nose is scraped up badly from some sort of incident there, too. I don't know what happened there but "might be hoarse" is an unacceptable summary of her visit considering how she came home with us.

In a 4-day period we didn't get a single phone call or e-mail to report her behavior or give us the opportunity to gauge its normalcy or possibly reduce her play sessions/adjust her care. Instead they just let our dog freak out until she couldn't vocalize anymore. Completely irresponsible and unacceptable.

We love pet camp! They make having a dog in SF so easy. Our dog Marlowe usually goes ~1x per week for daycare (K9 Enrichment - highly recommended due to the amazing staff) and also stays overnight when we travel. When we pick him up and try to take him to the car, he immediately turns around and tries to go back in, which tells us he loves it too.

Due to some early signs of hip dysplasia, we've opted not to neuter him until he turns 2. Pet Camp is flexible enough to set up programs where he can go intact. They match him up with playmates so he still gets tons of exercise and mental stimulation. He comes home exhausted and happy.

I was very comfortable boarding my cat here. The receptionist was clearly a cat-lover, which was reassuring. My cat came back happy and normal. The facilities looked very clean and modern. It was nice to see the photos of him online. 'll be bringing him back when the need arises.

The first time we went-my dog was put in the private version without trlling me although at ghe beginning-she was going to be in the general public group. They decided it would be best-without my knowledge or consult. I had to return during Thanksgiving where they jack up the already expensive price bc of the holidays. She came back with scraped elbows and hind quarters bc she was not use to the raised bed.

I had asked to bring my own which they said no to. She is a 10 year old lab with hip dysplasia-although active. Her elbows were raw and they are still recovering. She was there 5 days and they did not notice this happening. NEVER GOING BACK! They did not do what i had requested. Very disappointed for gheir not listening. Not happy at all with the care of my dog

We've used Pet Camp several times now for our 17 year old cat. She's on several medications, as well as being a rather anxious sort, so knowing that she's in good hands while we're gone is such a relief! Staff are friendly, thorough, and always happy to provide updates. There's a reason we drive from the east bay to board here!

We left our dog for 14 days and he came much skinnier and it seems he was bullied by other dogs. For the price paid, it seems there are other much better options. Updating review because they don't assume responsibility.

My dog is scared and reactive around new people and other dogs, so finding a facility that can accommodate him has always been challenging. Not only was Pet Camp SF willing to board him, they didn't bat an eye about his specific needs, and as part of the Nervous Nelly Enrichment Program they gave him attention, exercise, and stimulation one-on-one without other dogs.

I was SO impressed with the confidence and compassion with which they worked with him from the moment we brought him in the door. Without prompting they avoided eye contact and moved at his pace, allowing him time and space to warm up to them. Pet Camp SF cared for him over the holidays for 10 days, one of the longest times he has been cared for out of the home and the first time I have ever used a boarding facility.

When I reached out they were prompt with personal communication and a thorough update with specifics of how he was doing. When I picked him up at the end of his stay they said that he had warmed up to some of the trainers to the point that he was snuggling with them. Knowing my dog, this is a MASSIVE feat and can only be achieved though consistent patience and care.

He came home a happy pup, and I will absolutely book them for all of my boarding needs in the future! I cannot recommend Pet Camp SF enough, especially if you have a reactive dog.

We cannot say enough amazing things about SF Pet Camp! The staff is amazing and they really treat the dogs like their own. They go above and beyond to take photos during their stay so you feel like you have a connection to your pets even while you are away from them. They provide the best customer experience of any dog boarding or daycare place we have been to - just the best!

In short, it's my first negative review ever, due to Pet Camp weren't been able to fulfill their part of reservation agreement. It's important to know that our dog did stay there year ago without any issues. We missed our flight and lose money due to highly unprofessional staffing at the place. We have Shiba Inu with the specific character (only positive reinforcement) and current staff at the place did make our dog anxious literally in a matter of the minutes. Don't get me wrong, we totally understand that some dogs require highly trained personnel to take care of the edge cases, which Pet Camp clearly doesn't have anymore and doesn't mention during the phone call stage. Sadly saying when you paying $1000 for 8 nights dog to stay happy, your expectations are on the side of highly professional all-inclusive service. Isn't even close.

Welp. We had our dog stay for one night for the first time (1st here and ever at any boarding facility) over the weekend while we spent a night with family in SF and since he's come home late Sunday, he's been vomiting, diarrhea and it's only gotten worse. He was extremely tired when we picked him up and couldn't voice a bark for a couple days.

We thought maybe he just had too much fun because he loves to play but I've never seen him so drowsy even after constantly playing with friends and family dogs for longer stints of time. He was perfectly healthy and happy going in and It's now Thursday. he's so weak and unable to eat or stand and we had to take him to an emergency vet.

Wish that when I was reading all the glowing reviews that I had instead sorted in order of newest to oldest because it seems this is a very common issue lately with dogs at this facility getting similarly sick. What is happening here? We both felt he seemed almost drugged when we got him back. We were also assured by staff a couple times since calling that he ate and I don't think he did because there had been nothing removed from his food bag which we marked with a line with sharpie.

Or they just went ahead and fed him their own food regardless even though We instructed he be fed his own food. He did puke up a very large ball of what looks like kibble. It was literally about a 1-2 ball perfectly intact and it's nothing we've ever seen or given him. He's a fairly small guy too so that's a pretty large thing to be eating. Such an unfortunate experience. Something is ver very wrong in this place and we're very sad our dog is so sick now from staying here. Don't recommend.

I boarded my pup here and they treated him terribly. When I complained they didn't even care. My dog is the sweetest dog and has never had an issue. Pet camp gave him plenty of issues and I will never go back. He had poop matted in his fur, his voice was wrecked from barking, and he has had separation anxiety since. I can never trust a boarding place thanks to pet camp.

I really really wanted to like this place but I won't ever bring my dog back here. We picked up my dog and as soon as we got home he started throwing up. He's thrown up so many times since. The things he's thrown up are chunks that don't look like any of the food/treats I've given him. I called them to see if they fed him outside of what I provided at drop off. Jessica checked with the back so who said they didn't feed him anything today and he's been fine the last few days except they noticed he threw up a part of his greenie.

I asked if they fed him their provided food & she said no but the vomit is telling me otherwise! My dogs food isn't chunky bits, there's residue of what almost looks like nuts! Someone is lying to me because we didn't feed him anything since being in their care. Also, make sure you're checking the itemized receipt. The lady at drop off told me as a first time client I won't get charged until after I pick up my dog, a few minutes later tried to charge me $400, refunded that, then charged me a different price from the estimate, and then when I asked for a breakdown at pickup they had a hard time explaining the charges.

The lady even tried to tell me they gave me a discount. Yes they eventually refunded me $75 but again it still doesn't add up. So be careful of the extra charges & ask for a breakdown! They said tax is already included so it doesn't make sense. Again, I really want to like this place but I should've listened to the warnings. Someone isn't telling me the truth about what my dog ate under their care. I'm writing this review to make sure people are cautious about where they bring their dog.

In general, we really like Pet Camp. We hated the idea of our 80-pound dog being stuck indoors while we're away, and most of the boarding facilities around us have little, if any, outdoor space. So we know he loves romping around Pet Camp's huge outdoor area and we're happy to make the trip over the bridge for that reason. The last time we picked him up, my partner noticed our dog had a fairly deep leg wound that was actively bleeding.

Pet Camp staff hadn't noticed and didn't know how it had happened. They did offer to clean the wound, but we were concerned that they seemingly had no clue how he had been hurt. I followed up with an email asking to speak to someone who might know what had taken place, and they were very prompt in replying and getting more information about the incident.

In the end, these things happen, our dog is okay, and I understand that at these kinds of facilities, there simply aren't enough staff to monitor every single dog interaction. We will keep bringing our dog there because I do think there are lots of positives, but it bothered me that they hadn't noticed he had been bitten and was bleeding - I would have appreciated being alerted when the incident happened and understanding their plan for avoiding future altercations. I do really appreciate how responsive staff were after my email, and I know they of course did not intend for our dog to get hurt.

First time I left my pandemic pup at PetCamp for two nights with grooming, thinking an outdoor space might be better for her. I board my pup at least once a week -- when she came home from PetCamp however, she had lost her voice and was incredibly irritable. I didn't find the source of her irrational until I was cleaning her paws at night. It became very apparent that the groomer had very careless cut a portion of the quick off of her front left dewclaw.

I left PetCamp very strongly-worded text messages the night of to which they responded over phone, with malicious misunderstanding, that cutting into the quick was very common at grooming saloons and they often used ointments to stop the bleeding (not applied). The rep also attributed my pups voice lost to her being part husky, which has never happened before. TLDR: look at the pics, cutting off a portion of the quick is very very painful, my pup screamed until she lost her voice -- I'm unsure if I am more mad at myself for not reading all the reviews regarding their trending carelessness or the fact that my pup had to suffer through so much. Its just my pup and me in the world and I try to give her the best that I can afford, if you are the same -- skip PetCamp.

I can not recommend Pet camp enough. From a organizational perspective they are so organized and well run. We have a difficult dog who is very defensive with people. Their enrichment program is very patient with him and works with him to get him to be comfortable during overnight stays. the team there is really fantastic. We've probably stayed there 20ish times and really believe they are one of, if not the best, dog boarding option in the SF area.

My mom always watches my dogs when I am out of town. I was very nervous about leaving them overnight for 9 nights when we had to be out of the house for an asbestos abatement job in our home. My co-worker uses Pet Camp for daycare and overnight care so she referred me. I am so happy with Pet Camp. They were amazing and my dogs looked so happy from the photos they posted. Everyone there is very nice! They all seem to love what they do and that shows in how happy my dogs were while they were there. I will definitely use there services again!

I can't believe I am just writing a review! I adopted my german shepherd pup, Snax about 3 years ago and tried taking her to various doggie day cares. Her anxiety and over stimulated play needed special attention and wasn't a good fit for most all day play day care facilities. It was recommended to try Pet Camp. Snax was weary at first but quickly connected with one of the counselors, Ruthy.

It was as if rainbows started sprouting around me and Disney songs were playing in the background. Ruthy is AMAZING. She was very hands on and gave me insight on Snax's needs and things she could work on. Snax has been more comfortable around strangers and still is on the fence with meeting new dogs, but I (if you could use :bold: in yelp, "I" would be in :BOLD: ) am now trained to see that.

The counselors help you as much as they care for your dogs. Their guidance and passion for the love & welfare of animals is obvious in every counselor there. Not only that, Pet Camp also helped me adopt another gsd, Chase, that was in need to be re-homed. Pet Camp counselors McKenzie & Jessica was so supportive and made the transition seamless. It's like Chase has always been "chasing" Snax.

I couldn't be happier with my "little" furry family. I can't say enough great things about Pet Camp. Thank you Mark for having a wonderful team and creating a space where all dogs can be themselves and thrive!

Just picked up our -very- anxious dog from her first time at camp. We were a little nervous because she can be very shy with strangers, which can turn to reactivity if she's not given the space to adjust. But the professionals at pet camp had us covered! Her counselor told me that she and other staff went very slow with her, meeting her on her level and making her feel comfortable--resulting in a pleasant four-night stay without incident.

That's huge! And a testament to the mindfulness of the staff, meeting your pup's needs where they're at. Thanks, Pet Camp, we're glad to know you're a reliable option the next time we go out of town. :

We are not happy with the service. Since it was the first time with petcamp, we got 50%off. Our cat came back with diarrhea and dirty butt. They just said "our notes says that after we changed the diet (because wet food we provided was over) to petcamp wet food. We observed he got diarrhea" according to them it is normal to happen because of diet change.

It is 3 days now and he is still not feeling better. We have never seen our cat so down. We have changed his food multiple times and it never happened! Not sure what happened and what they fed. After telling them they said you can take him to vet. They are not very transparent. Other places have pet camera so we could see how our cat was doing in real time!

We are paying a lot of money for the care and our cat does not deserve this. Pet camp just posts few pictures every day but we really do not know how our pet is doing. They did not even tell us about diarrhea until we went to pick him up and saw his dirty butt. There are so many negative reviews of pet camp. We feel bad that we did not see it before. We will not recommend this place to anyone.

I'm happy with my recent experience with Cat Safari. The facility is clean, welcoming and well-maintained and staff was helpful. Daily picture update was appreciated as we could see how our cat looked. My cat's pictures were mostly from inside of his condo (except for the days he had safari time) but my cat is shy so it could've been that he was not as adventurous and stayed put in his bed. I would def consider Cat Safari again for my future boarding needs. I'm glad to have found an alternative to Wag.

LOVE Pet Camp! My little dude, Harry, has stayed at Cat Safari several times now, and they're so great! Harry is a pretty easy going cat, but each time he comes home, he seems to be very content and happy with his experience! I also LOVE that they post "camper cameos" each day so I can check in on him! And the staff is SO nice! Love how sad they are each time I go to pick Harry up - so you can really tell they care about their campers!

My pup runs in and loves his Pet Camp experience. He always comes home happy. the customer service is friendly and I have seen the front desk folks welcome new nervous pet parents with kindness and information. They are never perturbed by the many questions. Love that I can get my pup a bath before he comes home Bravo Pet Camp!

I was at a loss with my adopted dog, Mia. She was the sweetest girl to humans but reactive to other dogs. I wanted so desperately for her to have a friend, but even after trying with trainer after trainer, she still didn't get along well with others. Then I heard about Pet Camp and their enrichment program. They had a program that could tailor to Mia's needs, including her reactive behavior.

After one week, she was playing with another dog! It's been two months now, and they had her playing in a small group with three others! Honestly I am so impressed with the growth of my baby girl and SO THANKFUL that they've been able to pull her out of her shell and help her make friends while keeping everyone safe. She is always so excited to go in the morning and comes home peacefully exhausted. Honestly, I can't recommend pet camp enough; they've opened up so many opportunities for my sweet baby girl and I'm excited to see how much more she grows in the upcoming months.

We've been using Pet Camp since the late 90's starting with our 1st dog, Max; and currently with our dogs Rocco and Jonah. We feel our dogs are very well taken care at Pet Camp. If there are any issues, they make sure to contact us immediately. The counselors genuinely care for the campers and it shows from check-in thru check out. Plus they take daily pics so it's always a treat to see how much fun our dogs are having! We appreciate all that Pet Camp does to make our dogs feel welcome and comfortable during their stay.

Pet Camp was able to host my cat on short notice with no issue. The facility was clean and cute. The staff genuinely care about the cats and were even willing to refund some of the cost of some enrichment activities that my scaredy cat didn't end up using! I will definitely have my cat stay with them again!

Out dog, Mazi, loves Pet Camp. the drop offs are very easy. The staff takes excellent care of her. She enjoys her time with the other dogs and comes home exhausted and happy. We feel zero guilt leaving her there when we have to travel without her. We've tried other boarding alternatives but like Pet Camp the most. I recommend you try it next time you have to board you canine family members.

I'm very sad to leave a 1 star review for Pet Camp - the staff were super friendly, knowledgable, and good communicators (especially Jessica) and the facilities are nice. However, Pet Camp has completely lost my trust. My puppy, Sinchi, stayed overnight at Pet Camp for 6 days in late March for the K9 Enrichment Class. At the end of those six days, my 3 month old puppy came back with severe diarrhea and vomiting.

He was skin and bones and had lost significant weight and was dehydrated. Whereas before I had a hard time picking him up, now I could lift him easily. He was very weak and I had to take him to the Emergency Pet Hospital to rule out Parvo. Eventually, the vet said he had some undiagnosable virus / bacteria / parasite. In the write up by Pet Camp I was told that he had vomited only once on the last day (later I found out he had vomited twice) and that it was likely due to "rough playing." They downplayed what was actually something quite serious.

When I called and asked about the feeding schedule, I was reassured that they they regulated dog's feeding based on their energy expenditure -- this was clearly not the case with Sinchi. Illness causes weight loss - but not this much weight loss - my whole family *gasped* that our previously energetic and strong puppy was so feeble and unrecognizable.

His bones poked out from under his fur. When he came home, my puppy, who was previously very trusting, was giving us a side eye while he played, expecting reprimand and reproach. The thing with dogs is that they can't talk and tell us what happened. We can only interpret their behavior. Given all of the above, I do not recommend leaving your dog there.

I'm leaving the Bay Area and Pet Camp is THE NUMBER ONE THING I WILL MISS THE MOST. My dog Cali Rose loves her time with all her friends, dogs and counselors. The outside Savannah is by far the best space I have ever seen in a day camp, and it's amazing how huge the entire facility is. I absolutely trust them entirely, and my favorite feature is the photos of the pets that they post every night, I look forward to the photos obsessively!

I wish I could pack up Pet Camp into a ball and bring it with me, I love it so much. My dog always comes home happy, tired out, excited and she's even lost weight! She runs in from the sidewalk because she loves it so much. Special thanks to Mark, Michelle, Jessica and Robert. One million stars!

Wow! My dog, Louie, had such a great first time at Pet Camp. The minute I stepped in the door to drop Louie off, I knew it was going to be great. What a special place. Loved seeing the pictures each day. It's clear the dogs have a blast and are well cared for. Louie got to do what he loves most, play, play, play. When we picked him up he seemed happy to see us but I'm sure would've happily gone back in to play some more; So glad to know Pet Camp is here when we need to board our active, friendly, big pup. See you again soon!

Maggie loves coming to pet camp! I wish I could afford to bring her several times a week - not that I need to with Covid WFH, but because she loves other dogs and has so much more fun there than listening to me take my hundredth zoom call. Everyone has been kind. Maggie did the camper cadet program with Mackenzie (she was adopted from Turkey and knew nothing beforehand) and now knows sit and down and has decent leash manners, the program very much helped. Additionally, she got a bloody nail one day but the staff was extremely communicative about what happened and helped take great care of her and she was good as new. And I always am excited to see the camper cameos. Highly recommend pet camp!
