This place sucks! I filled out all the paperwork ahead of time and arrived at 7am on a workday ready to drop off my pup. They then tell me that since he is 6 months old he would be sitting in a room by himself all day with "up to four" 15 minute walks and recommended I take him home. Horrible communication and waste of time.

The absolute worse kennel EVER! My dog spent 3 nights, 4 days at the one in Charlottesville on Harris Avenue. When we picked her up we asked how she did and the woman at the desk said "I don't see any notes in her file" "so I guess she was fine." Once we got her home she refused to get out of our car. When we finally coaxed her out of the back seat she jumped in the rear hatch area when she heard a car go by.

For days she would not eat or go outside without being coaxed. And once out she would act timid and scared and walked with her tail between her legs. This was not the dog that we dropped off at Pet Paradise. It took her almost a full week to become herself again. And now she is afraid of loud noises, thunder and she will not go in her crate AT ALL!

I don't know what they did to her but from the way she was behaving it could not have been a good experience! Also it doesn't help having a train run right through the back of the Kennel areal! I would never, ever recommend Pet Paradise to anyone! Whenever I mention our horrible experience to people they all say the same thing "that is exactly what I have heard about that place!" If I could I would give zero stars but I don't want that to appear as if I didn't give a rating! DON'T GO TO PET PARADISE! No wonder you only have 2 stars. Two too many if you ask me!

Have been taking my two dogs for daycare one to three times a week for the past five months. Almost all the staff knows my dogs by name when I bring them in and they never pull or tug on the leashes to get them to go to the kennels. They're very patient and kind with all the dogs as far as I have seen. I have boarded with them once over a long weekend and have had my dogs groomed twice, no issues/complaints with either of those services.

Today at daycare, there was an incident with another dog and one of mine. I was pleasantly surprised by the promptness and professionalism of the staff and manager to let me know what had happened and the follow up to check on her. I will definitely continue to bring my dogs and recommend them to friends and family. I wouldn't totally trust some of the one star reviews on here, I've had nothing but positive experiences.

They knew a vaccine was expired so wouldn't take my dog. You would think they could call to let you know before the appointment. It made me very late for work and cost me over an hour of extra driving.

Dropped my dog off for an ultimate bath and a deshedding add on. When I picked my dog up his ears had not been cleaned I had to come home and do it myself. He also had a lot of loose fur still which he shouldn't have had since I paid for the deshedding. She also stated my dog was scared to be blow dried but my dog has never been scared of a blow dryer in fact I blow dry him every morning when doing my hair. Makes no sense but definitely will not be returning.

I have used Pet Paradise many of times in the past and never had a bad experience. However, I boarded my dog over the weekend 3 weeks ago and he came home vomiting and very dehydrated not eating and just not himself, it took him a few days to get over it. I'm not sure how he was at the place because when I called, they said he was fine and eating so I'm a little confused on if he was really doing ok.

If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. Management is God awful and Bri (presumably one of the main managers) was the most unprofessional hag I've had to deal with in my life.

I would not have my dogs board here. I have been keeping track of when they use air horn. It has been a lot more frequent lately. And it is loud enough for me to hear it. I feel bad for the dogs ears. Should try the no bark collars that vibrate instead of an air horn.

If i could give 0 stars i would! they scheduled my dog for day care knowing she was missing her bordatella. i went to drop her off before work and they told me they couldnt take her. why schedule a f*cking appointment knowing she didnt have it and make me go there only to say no!?!?!? then they were sarcastic and by they i mean the manager and say "have a nice day!" after they made me be 1 hour late for work because i had to take my dog back home (i live at bonita) and drive back to fort myers! causing my attendance at work to be bad and now get a verbal warning because they didn't take my dog and i had to do what i said! its ridiculous! if you know dogs need some vaccines and know they dont have them because you get told then dont schedule people and make them waste their time and have issues at work because your incompetence!

I would give this place a 0 if I could! We made an appointment months ago to have our two dogs stay here for the night while we attended family weekend at UVA. We immediately felt uncomfortable when the employee came right at our dog and tried to put an id collar on her without even greeting her or letting her sniff and then asked if she would be able to handle the dog.

We were stunned that an employee of a pet place would ask this about a 14 year old Havanese that's never hurt anyone. Then, when we pulled out her medicine, both women suddenly announced that they didn't think the dog could stay after all. I had called twice and been told that we just needed to give instructions when we arrived. The website says there is no problem giving medicine.

After a phone call they both said they wouldn't take her. No apology. Nothing! Charlottesville is such a pet friendly city and thankfully our hotel found us a pet friendly room but we weren't able to do some things we had planned for the day.

Dog came home injured. I'm showing them the same respect they showed us by not addressing it face to face. It was the first time we took our dog to them and the last. He'll get better, but this explains why nobody really wanted to talk at pick up.

Our dog has been boarded at Pet Paradise once before, but after an unexpected delay getting back into town during his most recent stay at Pet Paradise, we called and asked for a staff member to stay a few minutes past pickup (at 5pm) so that he would not have to stay an extra night. The assistant manager ended up staying late for us, which allowed to see our pup earlier than we expected!

We have used Pet Paradise Premier Plano for years for our beautiful shepherd mix, and this past visit included her plus our new addition, our feisty little Boston terrier. Both girls had a wonderful experience, and we couldn't be more pleased with their care and grooming services!

This is what I sing to Lulu before getting her in the car to bring her to Pet Paradise: "Pet Paradise. Where the dogs poop on the lawn! Pet Paradise. Where you play with Fluffy Dawn!" Two things here. 1. It's not a real lawn. 2. I highly doubt there's a Fluffy Dawn that attends this Pet Paradise. Or any Pet Paradise for that matter. Lulu gets very excited when I sing this song.

She knows she is about to see all her friends (dogs and humans but NO cats for Lulu!). And if the weather is right, she might even get to go swimming. I'll have to think of a cat song related to Lulu being afraid of them. If you come up with something, feel free to share. Or present it to the Pet Paradise staff. They love dog and cat songs provided by guests! Your dog (or cat) is safe here and will have fun. There is also a vet on-site now. Pretty cool!

We had a fantastic experience with Pet Paradise. I had used two other groomers in town with mixed results. This time, I was impressed from start to finish. It was easy to book, the check in process was great, and the grooming was top notch. They were gentle and loving with Our pup Milo. We will be using this groomer, specifically Melanie, from now on.

Let me start by saying I'd give a 4 or 5 star for the actual services received. We feel the care (boarding, vet, grooming) themselves are very good. My frustrations are with 1. Reservation process.it's frustrating that when you make an appt for a service on line, and then want to add something or make an adjustment, you need to cancel the original service and re-do the whole thing with the change/addition. 2.

Check in process.as a regular customer who identifies when we will drop the dogs off, we often wait 15 minutes or more for check-in. We often are on our way to the airport when we drop them off so timing is important. Despite having multiple check in "lanes", generally only one is open. 3. Cancelling of grooming service. this happened the last two times our dogs were were scheduled for full grooms.

The cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice. Then getting another much needed grooming scheduled appt is not open for a few weeks out. 4. Lastly, when calling in, a person answers. You get directed to Voicemail. Seems like these are staffing issues for a very busy place!

I had a 10:00 am appointment for my 2 dogs to be groomed. I arrived on time. I stopped back in around 1:00 PM to see if they were done. The girl behind the counter told me it would be another 2 hours, cause it usually takes 5 hours to groom. Wow I have had my dogs groomed, before moving here, and it NEVER took that long. I stopped back at 3:30, which was 5 1/2 hours since I dropped them off and they were finally finished.

I got home and looked at the bill and it stated the grooming started at 1:13 PM and was completed at 3:23 PM. So if my appointment was for 10:00 AM, why did it start at 1:13 pm. My dogs sat there for 3 HOURS, before grooming. Then full groom was listed at $55. I was charged $80 for my 10 pound Shih Tzu and $70 for my 22 pound Bichon. I will never go here again. BEWARE.

Friendly staff, first and foremost. However.our dogs stank when we picked then up and the scoop we provided with our dog food was missing out of the bag when we got home. Not sure how the food was properly given at meal time and not sure how even the worst accident would have left a permanent smell if shampoo were applied. These problems would be (arguably) minor if they were isolated, but I have to assume this lack of attention to detail probably extended to the entirety of my dogs' care throughout their two week stay.

The staff here are unprofessional and unreliable. I had a confirmed grooming appointment for my dog at 8 am on a Saturday, and when I arrived the doors were locked. I noticed the door sticker saying that the lobby doesn't open until 9 am on Saturdays, so I call the number to contact an associate to let them know I was here for my dog's grooming appointment, but nobody answered the phone.

I called five times and yet nobody answered, and the door was locked. So, I contacted a representative through their website online chat who told me to wait until they open and that they should be able to squeeze me in at 9. When I go inside the lobby, I ask about the appointment that I was late for because the doors were locked and nobody answered the phone.

One of the girls at the front desk told me that because I missed my appointment I would have to reschedule because the groomer is too busy and I missed my appointment because I wasn't there on time, and that the groomer was waiting for me. Excuse me? Then why were the doors locked? Or why didn't anybody answer the phone the first five times I called?

All she said was sorry about that and to enjoy the rest of my day. So I spoke to a supervisor who said that because I missed my appointment I had to reschedule, even though the groomer said to just leave the dog there and she would figure it out. The supervisor said no, that they couldn't do that because I didn't have a reservation. MY RESERVATION WAS AT 8 AM AND I MISSED IT BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T OPEN YOUR DOORS OR ANSWER YOUR PHONE.

Not to mention, she told me that they were there waiting for me to come in, that I didn't show up, and that I didn't call. If they were waiting there for me to come in, why didn't anybody answer the phone and why was the door locked? Make it make sense please. This place is never getting my business or consideration again. Do better.

I usually go to the one in Ormond Beach when I fly out of Orlando, but this time I took him to the one that opened up in Ft. Myers. He has bad separation anxiety so anytime I need to go anywhere he needs a sitter 24/7. Anyway he came back with kennel cough And gave it to all my other animals costing me around $150-200 ish a dog to treat. I have a ton of dogs. needless to say it was a pricy short stay.

Other than that it's a great place for him. I just wish their was accountability if your Dog gets sick under their care. Of note all my dogs are fully vaccinated, but guess that doesn't protect them 100%. Also of note. I can never reach anyone by phone there. I am always on hold a ridiculous amount of time And no on ever answers.

Both of my dogs caught kennel cough so on top of a very pricey stay here I ended up with 2 very sick dogs and $300 in vet bills. They didn't care when I called to let them know my dogs were sick. I also didn't see my dogs on camera still don't have an answer why but they only brought them out after I complained. Also both dogs got baths I was not made aware of this.

One of my dogs has special considerations so I would have told them not to bathe her. One of my dogs I never saw on camera despite their assurances until of course I called. I only read one site of reviews and saw a few reviews of kennel cough complaints sadly when my dogs got sick I dug deeper and found many many complaints of this same issue here.

Both of my dogs despite being vaccinate are both very sick, I am listening to them choking/coughing right now and am extremely upset. Also really bothered that this place basically blew me off when I called. Just be aware before you go here. It looks beautiful, it's pricey and normally you get what you pay for but my poor dogs got more than they bargained for.

I will no longer be taking our dogs to this place. Our dog loves the pool but he wears his nails down to where he is bleeding and having a hard time walking when we pick him up. We've asked that he be given breaks during the day and we are told they will do it but it doesn't happen. On one visit he was bitten by another dog and it took weeks to heal.

They were more concerned that I not find out what dog bit him than they seemed about my dog being bit. They would not guarantee that the aggressive dog would be monitored closer and removed, if warranted. There was no credit offered for that day or for a future visit. He has contracted the kennel cough twice and with the vet bills and meds it's cost us a ton of money to get him healed and he spreads it to our two other dogs so the cost is multiplied times three. Most times the dog to human ratio is off the charts so there's no way for the dogs to receive proper supervision. We are done with this place.

I was pleased to find this place to board my active dog. However on the free day of daycare, the staff showed complete negligence. She enjoyed playing in the pool, but they let her continue playing all day until her paw pads on all four feet completely peeled off. She couldn't even hobble out to the car when I picked her up - I had to carry her.

They also did not apologize and the man who handed her back to me was bold enough to state that this was a "COMMON PROBLEM" for new dogs in their care! Well, genius, if this is a reoccurring issue that wet paw pads all day causes a problem, then why don't you prevent that by not allowing a pup to stay in the pool ALL DAY? Give them breaks in a kennel to dry off for Pete's sake!

They didn't offer to help with the vet bill either and I ended up having to leave my poor baby to be boarded at the vet's office so that she could be bandaged, given anti inflammatories and antibiotics, and cared for properly. She will not be healed completely to resume her active lifestyle for 4-8 weeks while her paw pads regrow. Like they say, nothing is ever free in life - this was not a FREE day of daycare for me at all.

I left feedback on their email survey they sent me and NO ONE has called me. It's so hard to find someone to trust with your babies. This place made it that much harder. Crappy customer service and negligent dog babysitting. Do not recommend.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BABY HERE! The worst customer service especially from their regional manager Martin Wood. My dog got sick while there. Picked him up and had to take him to the emergency animal hospital. He caught a virus. We were told they would return the Vet fee but Martin freaked out on my husband because I said apparently the kennels were not clean.

We picked him up on Thursday and my dog still has not gotten better and it's now Monday. Here are some pictures. If you love your animal please Find a different place. Four different medications they had to put him on. Diarrhea, vomiting, blood in stool and fever of 104.5. Not to mention they never answer the phone. My daughter called several times while on vacation and was not able to get through at all.

I boarder my dog (13.5 yrs old) for the first time at the huntersville location and I appreciate the attention they paid to the needs of fur buddy! The extra bathroom breaks and letting me know to bring his favorite blanket since his first stay was 4 days. Would definitely go back!

The dog to human ratio is awful. Obviously there is a reason they make you sign over and over again that your dog is spayed or neutered. There is absolutely no reason my female dog should have been mounted and penetrated within her first 30 minutes there. I am absolutely disgusted with this facility. I have never had such a horrible experience from a boarding/vet.

After watching this happen, I asked for her to be placed in a VIP suite and for individual play only. the man working the desk acted disgusted with me. Prior to her being attacked my poor girl asked for pets numerous times and was ignored. This was all with me standing and watching in the lobby so I can only imagine what happens in that massive pack of dogs when owners leave.

To top it off my dogs came home with 6 fleas on them. Disgusting is an understatement. So not only did my pups have a bad day; we were up all night scrubbing them down and making sure the travelers didn't contaminate my house. Then we had to pay for a lovely vet bill to make sure they were going to be in the clear.

Our dog went there at 73lbs, healthy and happy. We picked him up FOUR days later and he was 64lbs from being so sick while he was there. We find out there was a virus going around (kennel cough) and our dog is DEATHLY ill because of it. 105 fever! Almost all of the dog food we sent with him was sent back with him, they just put it all into one bag to make it look like it wasn't all the food.

And now we are worried about our 14 week old puppy getting kennel cough because of this! Then we go and pick him up and the girl at the check out was SO RUDE. We were asking questions about the pricing and she was snarky and not caring at all that our dog almost died in their care! No play time and nothing happy came out of Pet Paradise. Our life is a mess now because of sending him there. I wish I didn't even have to give this place ONE star. DO. NOT. SEND. YOUR. DOG. HERE. Unless you can afford hundreds of dollars in vet bills afterwards!

Extremely limited playtime for dogs due to Covid! Ask lots of questions because the dogs are definitely not getting the service from before Covid. None of these new policies are communicated to the customer. I checked the cameras multiple times and there were NO dogs outside. I expect this right after lunch but not throughout the day. My dog spent most of her day in a crate - she could have done that for free at our house without the stress for us both.

There are lots of doggie daycare options in this area that are far superior to this "paradise." I spoke with the manager about my concerns. She was not at all concerned! I'd explore other options if your dog is a valued member of your family! I have totally become a dog mom and wanted to give other pet parents a heads up.

We visited this location with our dog for the first time today. The facility is so clean. We appreciate being able to watch our dog remotely and also in person. The staff was very friendly, especially to the dogs! We definitely will come here often to let our dog play in this wonderful environment.

If you love your pet, or even just like your pet don't take it here. Deplorable conditions. The place smells like pee because they house so many dogs they make them pee and poop indoors inside their individual kennels (yes they make your dogs use the toilet on themselves). It's so loud and noisy in there you can hear the dogs barking from outside the facility.

It looks like a prison for dogs. Their "housing" is rows of small cages with nothing inside, no cots or even a bowl in it (don't let their pictures on the website fool you. It is not a happy place). Each cage is filled with a different dog barking loudly and no play areas to be seen. They don't answer the phone, there are no cameras (or they'll tell you the cameras aren't working). I'm not even trying to exaggerate here. If your dog comes back with anxiety issues you'll know why. Mine came back shaking after less than a day.

My dog loves going to day camp. She leaps out of the car in the morning and can't wait to play with her friends. The transition from 'small dog' group to 'large' group was easy. The staff is very friendly and often give feedback on her behavior for the day. The facilities are clean and the camera system allows you go watch your dog play with the group. Luckily she is exhausted and well behaved when she gets home!

A person on the phone booked a grooming appointment for my cat. Then one hour prior the day of the appointment they cancelled THROUGH EMAIL. It's a good thing I get email to my phone. When I called to inquire they said they no longer take cats and the appointment should never have been booked because they don't have the space. They then could not recommend any place to send my cat for grooming. I have been taking my cat to Pampered Pets for grooming every 3 months for 5 and a half years, and I am so disappointed with how they have treated me as a returning client.

My dog came (or tried to come) here for daycare twice. The first day was his evaluation. Setting the appointment up was a pain, as they do all scheduling through their corporate number rather than at each individual location. My dog loves daycare but wasn't nearly as energetic as he usually is by the time he came home. They apparently board them a lot during the day (I was told only 20 minutes of play at a time) which really doesn't seem worthwhile.

When I tried to make an online appointment, I found that none of the information I had originally given was in their system. As a result, I had to wait until Monday (even through the Charlottesville location is open on weekends, the people who schedule are not- another major inconvenience) to schedule his appointment on the phone. Finally I had set everything up, I took him to daycare- and all of the staff was outside due to a fire.

I went around 8am Monday, and the fire had occurred at 6pm Sunday. Obviously it was an emergency at one point, but being that all of their scheduling is off sight anyways I have no idea why someone couldn't email or text indicating that they'd be closed. More than a week later, I still haven't heard anything from them. Even when they're up and running again, I will not be bringing my dog here.

Pet Paradise? The name sounds good but please beware. I had my senior dog here just for 3 nights (thank God it wasn't any longer) and she is not doing well. She normally wears a diaper ONLY because she leaks but still needs to be let out. This place apparently left the diaper on and never let her out. She has a major diaper rash and also has the runs.

So I'm assuming they left her in a dirty diaper for long periods of time. Ok i understand that there are a lot of dogs at this place but I feel that NO ONE new what was going on. No one could tell me how she did or if she had diarrhea and they had to wash her etc. she wasn't dirty so I'm assuming they cleaned her up once they saw but why wouldn't anyone tell me that?

When I asked how my dog did, they basically read off what the instruction said in the computer. NO ONE working there knows what's really going on with our fur babies. They said they have over 20 employees working there throughout the day so no one knows who did what. I am so disappointed at this place. They may be ok with younger pets? I am writing a review only to warn you so you know what you are dealing with.

For starters, they didn't even call us until 10 hours after a horrific kennel fire in which several pets were lost/killed/went missing and all (about 80) animals were stuck in a burning building for 40 minutes (if lucky) and 3 hours (if not). Local vets donated emergency help thanks to the fire chief--but as far as we know Pet Paradise did basically nothing.

I could understand the poor communication if this was a mom-and-pop business scrambling in an emergency, but this is a big corporate operation with a call center in Richmond, so I just can't figure out why they didn't contact pet owners to let them know the bad news. Our cat is so horribly matted and traumatized that I have to believe she wasn't being well cared for even before the fire.

Do not recommend! Postscript: Still no calls or emails back from Pet Paradise, and when I call the number they provide in the Yelp response below, the phone company says it has been disconnected. :(

Do not take your pet here. I made a day camp reservation for my dog when I was visiting Charlottesville. I was told that he would have three hours of play and then some rest in his own space with a cot and water. When I walked in, I was told that since he was being "evaluated" he would be confined in his own space for the whole day except for two thirty-minute periods of play.

I asked to see where his space and was taken up to a long warehouse room which had row upon row of 4 ft by 4 ft STEEL CAGES with no cots and no water in a windowless room. There were about 30 dogs in there, all barking, all confined to tiny, airless, waterless cages. I could not get out of there fast enough. If you want your pets treated with respect and dignity, stay as far away from this place as possible. What's happening here is cruel.

We have a Yorkie named Harry who loves coming to pet paradise. He has been for play dates, for the best grooming, and for a week vacation. The staff treats him like he is their own pet. They helped him get used to socializing when he was just a few months old. He is very comfortable going to them. We love pet paradise!

Pet Paradise Lake Norman is amazing! Our rescue dog loves other dogs but she is not great with strangers. The staff here handled her perfectly! They were patient with her and gained her trust over a couple of weeks. I'm so impressed by the extra time and effort they gave to make her daycare experience a great one! She is now a regular and melts in their arms when we arrive! Highly recommend

I made a reservation to have my pet boarded and got a confirmation. When I called one day before my trip I was told "the new owners are having problems with the web site" and we cant find your reservation Great.thanks That leaves me scrambling to find someplace for my pet, likely I'll have to skip vacation. What a terrible way to run a business. And with the prices they charge there should be better service. Awful, simply awful

My almost 10 yr old has been boarded for years at many places. She's never come home as timid and jumpy as this time. They went to say bye to her at pick up and she was extremely skittish. She was hiding in a corner of our home for the entire first night. This is such odd behavior for her. It's tough to attribute and dissect the emotions of animals, but it made me nervous enough to not go back. I'm also just not a huge fan of the extra charges to do literally everything.

This city is the only one I've boarded her that seems to do this (I'm sure there are others, but no MAJOR cities that I'm aware of) Plus the older lady at the front desk was a bit condescending for my taste.

I have always found the facility to be very clean the staff very professional. I was initially reluctant to board my dog but found she actually did better at pet paradise than spending long hours home alone with neighbors or friends caring for her. I boarded her several times now and she's always happy when I drop her off. If I were to make one suggestion it would be to improve the resolution of their doggie cams, you are able to Watch your dog at play time by using a second party paid app but the resolution is so low that it's often difficult to see which dog is yours.

Pet Paradise is a great place to take your dog for day care or boarding! Their facility is clean and the staff friendly. Our dog, Keely, LOVES going there. We also like the fact that we can watch her playing on the Oh Doggy app that is connected to Pet Paradise. Debbie Williams

Ok, I am so torn about this place. I like the place and they seem to be clean and the dogs seem happy to be ropped off but they seem to nickel and dime you to death. My husband dropped off our dog for a 5d ay visit and they asked him if the dog wanted to have extra play time. My husband says sure since they did not tell him they charge extra or that.

What I picked her up they charged me for picking her up one hour late and then for the extra play time. I asked how many hours do they usually get, they said 6 hours. I said he wanted more than 6 hours play time? Ok, so here is where we have an issue. I purchased their APP and I check in every time we stop to have a drink or eat or are on a bus one in the car and out of the 5 days, I saw her one.

Now if we paid for 8 hours outside a day which is more that needed, then why is she never outside? I asked this the first time she was there and she said group are kept separate from the ay care. Well is that not the reason you have several yards and why is it I never see one dog in that pool they keep going on about(in the summer) I Think we need to look into a new place because it s all about the mighty dollar and not so much about my dog

Took my dog Paco there this week for an evaluation of how he would behave with the facility and with the other dogs. Him and I both loved the experience! Staff was knowledgeable about their grounds and services and made me feel at ease of leaving my pup with them. When I picked Paco up he seemed sad to have to leave his new friends when usually he would be so happy to see me! Dropping him off again today, but for the week while I travel for the holiday. More great reviews to come I'm certain.

If you are going on vacation or simply need some time away from your pet, pet paradise is a great place to keep them. They keep your pet happy and safe. One thing I love is the reports that you get after their stay. They recap how your pet did and if they had a lot of fun. After traveling I am always exhausted and I do not want to deal with this crazy dog, but you can tell they have played super hard because they are tired too, which is good because they won't be crazy. If you need a place to keep your pets for a few days and you don't want them to have a bad time, bring them here and let them have an awesome time.
