Would not take my cat because he got stressed out and "stressed out the groomer". Isn't that their job? To deal with animals? My cat did not bite them or scratch them. Probably "stressed" out from dogs barking and the clipper. I don't recommend

I have been going here for for many many years. I love this pet store - up until now. They have hired a new employee and she is bringing the store down, Customer service is not the job for Stephanie. Other than her I love this pet store and the groomers too!

Our family has been going to Pet Safari for over 20 years. They always have what we need. I especially want to call out Stephanie for helping me time and time again. She is a great manager with such a good attitude. They beat all the big name pet shops by far in service, personality and stock. The groomers are great too. Our English Bulldog lets them trim his nails and has no issues with them like he did at Pet Smart.

I've been bringing my pets here for grooming for years. Michelle and Destiny are great! The rest of the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. They also have a great selection of pet food and products.

Visited the store yesterday for the first time and I will definitely be back! The staff are terrific and super knowledgeable! I just set up a new fish tank for the first time and one of the staff (did not catch her name unfortunately) gave me some terrific information on setting up a successful tank. Terrific place for all your pet needs and great prices! :-D

Awesome dog groomers! The staff is always very friendly and professional. I could spend a lot of time looking at all the different pet products. We've been taking our schnauzer too Michelle for grooming for at least eight years now and she does a fantastic job every time. Best pet store ever!

Another great day shopping at Pets Safari. I called ahead for an opening to have my dog's nails trimmed. I got in and out in 10 minutes. My boy was good for the groomer and I look forward alto a return trim with my other two boys. Staff and groomer were so helpful in selecting the proper shampoo for my dog's coat. Great deal on dry dog food with Pro Pack brand when you become a member.

One of my dogs is rapidly declining. The woman (Nancy I think) was so kind and helpful. I was overwhelmed with thoughts of my dog and she was able to walk me through the store and show me her recommendations. She even gave me some samples to take home. I am so thankful for her help.

Racist owner, he hates everyone who isn't white. Michelle is a great groomer but the owner is a piece of shit racist.

I went and got my first Cockatiel here. The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals that they have. It's an overall great experience and I would definitely go back.

The staff is highly educated on pet needs, and will work with you to see what it is that will fit your pet best. I bought my two rats here, as they are bred in store, and it was awesome. I wasn't a super experienced rat owner, and the person who sold them to me made sure to explain what habitat would best suit them, and even placed my first rat on a "hold" for me while I bought the supplies and got his home ready for him!

I get paid biweekly, and when I went in to get a friend for my rat Valentine, (the first rat I purchased there), I fell in love with Pepper and they let me "hold" him as well for over a week before I got paid again! They are very well bred rats, friendly, smart, well behaved, and very easily trainable! Highly recommend purchasing pet rats at this facility!

Such a wonderful pet store! I have exclusively been going to this store for all my bird needs since I moved here. I purchased two very loving cockatiels from them. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable, and can help you with anything they can. I love that all the pets are in clean cages and seem very happy, healthy, and well cared for. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area, avoid the chains and shop local!

I have been going to pet safari for years to get our dog groomed by Michelle. A few weeks ago when I went to take my dog in, I was dissappointed with the serious racism problem we have in the U.S. The owner had a very racist comment towards Mexicans due to the Nestle company deciding to start making their pet food in Mexico. At first I thought it was cool that the owner (assuming) was protecting Americans jobs by informing them that Nestle is building a multi million dollar facility in mexico and we should try and buy products in the U.S, which in my opinion are usually higher quality.

I asked him about the sign posted on the glass near the exit of the store and what he responded was so ridiculus that it really upset me. He did not care about Americans, he just hated the fact that Mexicans will be making money. How ignorant can he be, 90% of the products sold in his store are made in China. He doesnt mind paying dirt cheap on Chinese toys and then turn around and sell it to us Americans for triple the price he paid for them.

However he is more concerned about (as he stated) "Mexico, another country making money!" Seriously sir, if your really concerned about the US not making its own products like you stated stop making a profit on Chinese products which is the true cancer of our country. *sad part is owner actually took the time of day to type up this sign and highlight it! What has our country come to!

I went to Pet Safari to buy two rats as pets. The lady working there was extremely helpful over the phone and in person, had no trouble handling the animals and knew what she was talking about. I ended up buying a Rat Home, water bottle, bedding, food, and treats for my rats that I also bought. (They're two young dumbo rats). The rats are very sweet and there hasn't been any trouble with them whatsoever.

All the things I bought are also doing great. The store was quite nice and the prices were the same if not better than pet chain stores. They had many animals and had just what I wanted. What I really love about Pet Safari is that they really do know what they're talking about and are very helpful as they have the animals' best interests at heart. Definitely will come again.

This place is amazing! This is a true family run business which is dedicated to both the customers and consumers! It's refreshing to be treated so kindly by knowledgeable staff. Fantastic grooming as well, I have had my dogs groomed here for years!

The groomer Michelle tried to explain to me that Cocos front legs were showing a cowlick which was why they were cut so short on the sides of both front paws. In 7 years of having Coco groomed I've never seen this before. I honestly wouldn't recommend this groomer at all. Coco has had two groomers before and has never had this issue before.

When I went back to talk to Michelle Coco didn't want to go back in the building and started shaking. Coco always gets groomed with a number 9 blade and has never looked this way before. Go at your own risk or worse your beloved doggies risk.

Pet Safari is a wonderful place to get pets. Pet food and toys.,h arness and leashes and collars. Lots of cool stuff for your pets.

What an excellent find hidden in a neighborhood shopping center. Friendly knowledgeable staff with a good, healthy selection of food and a grooming area.

What first caught our eye here was the wide array of pets they had. We popped in out of curiosity and we're glad we did. With our nieces in tow, we were going around to local fish stores, and this one had a great selection of freshwater fish, lobsters, and other cool specimens that I'm interested in returning to pick from. On top of that, they had tarantulas, snakes, rats, and all sorts of small pets that were cool to look at.

They also had a good selection of foods, toys, and treats for all sorts of pets. I'll definitely be returning to this store, even if it's just to check out what animals they have in stock!

Wow, I have a hard time believing those bad reviews. This is the cleanest, friendliest, best prices pet store in Pinellas county. And the groomers are the best!

My boy Coco, 8 year old Maltese, got the best haircut of his life his 1st. time here. I highly recomend. Very friendly staff.

I love this place! The staff is soooo helpful. I went in looking for something to treat my fish' fin rot and they told me exactly what I needed and what to expect when using the antibiotics. I think they're great.

Awesome neighborhood pet shop! The owner and his employees are great! Friendly and helpful! The grooming Dept is great, too. A wide range of pets and fish and supplies. Prices are great, no reason to go to the commercialized pet stores when you can help our local shops! Any pet lover must stop in and will find something they must buy! You'll feel like family once you've shopped there!
