Services
Boutique Boarding for a small number of socialized pets in a off leash environment with a focus on personal attention. From a day to a month, we can meet most boarding needs of most pets. However, for everyone's safety we are selective to who we allow in our facility. Each pet has its own place, with enough space to be very comfortable.
In order for your pet to attend Boarding or Daycare at The Pet Set, you must complete a Daycare/Boarding Application. Once you have submitted the Application, it will be reviewed and either approved or denied by the Manager, you will be contacted within 72 hours either way. Pet Parents are encouraged to sign up for email newsletter communication for updates, information or news.
Your pet will just love the wonderful play space we have created for them at The Pet Set, located at 2480 Briarcliff Road Atlanta GA 30329. Stop by for a tour anytime. An indoor area, climate controlled of course, allows your dog to play and mix with other pets that have the same temperament. Our outdoor areas will allow your pet to get outside for some fresh air in a totally fenced in park like setting, complete with a play-time plunge pool (summer only).All pets are always supervised by a pet care professional and are never left unattended.
For clients whose pet(s) have passed our temperament test and are Day Care approved - this quick appointment set-up is just for you! Making a Returning Day Care Reservation appointment in advance allows us to plan our staff and our group activities accordingly. We appreciate your patience and your business! I really loved this place for my fur baby especially because it was across the street from my house so super convenient. My lease was up recently and I decided to rent a room to save money this time around weeks later I begin to see my dog growing, getting fatter, and her nipples started to sag. As time go on I'm 100% sure that my dog is pregnant and got pregnant under their supervision.

When I reached out I was told that there was nothing they could do. so now I'm living in someone else's home with a pregnant dog and God for bid I have to leave because of it because then I will be homeless. Thanks very f*cking much smh

I've been having my dogs groomed here for years and absolutely love Darryl! He does a great job and is so caring and compassionate. This pic is Rudy after a recent groom with Darryl. I also think the front desk staff has gotten more efficient and I love that I can book grooming appointments via text. I will say the prices have risen substantially since I've been going there, but I guess that's life.

The customer service is horrible seeming that this store at this location was empty. I hope they are not the owners, if I have to drive an extra 15-20 mins out to find a pet store, I'd rather do that instead of a 10 min drive. The first and last time walking into this place. Trust factor is gone due to no communication skills. Reading the reviews is a easy give away. No professional courtesy with no assistance offered just walked pass and ignored.

First time at Pet Set. It was a terrible experience. I got a text saying my dog was ready for pick up and they said he bit his own lip?! They must be stupid to think we believed our dog bit his own lip! Again ridiculous excuse when my dog has like three teeth. The bleeding was not caused by him but by the person bathing and blow drying him. When we got there the woman who was explaining the situation horribly said with senior dogs they get irritated and grumpy.

Our dog is the sweetest, so calm has never been agitated with anyone one. Never had issues with a vet or anyone who has cut his hair in the past. Again ridiculous excuses. When we finally got him, his mouth was bleeding and his two paws were bleeding. We also witnessed an employee screaming at the dogs in the day care. Just a terrible place. Terrible employees with ZERO experience with haircuts and taking care of dogs. I forgot to mention his haircut looked like a 2 year old did it. DONT GO HERE!

Whenever we leave town, this is our go to boarding for our dog. They are reasonably priced and take good care of him. He can be difficult with strangers, but he falls right in line with the people here.

Jett, my miniature poodle, loves it here; so much so that he starts whining to get out the car and wagging his tail as soon as we pull up. I love how they love on my fur baby! We have been coming here for the last five years and Jett got well socialized with other dogs via the doggy daycare. The grooming team listens and his fur is super soft and good smelling every time. Definitely my go to for boarding, daycare, and grooming.

I discovered this place because when I adopted Addy, the organization I got her from told me they used The Pet Set, and I have been going ever since (4 years). Daryl is fantastic, he has really good energy and a calming vibe that my semi-neurotic dog responds to really well. He also gives a great haircut! Addy has long-ish border-collie style hair with "feathers" that grow off the backs of her legs and lots of long tangly hair on her tail.

He gives a great short cut in the summer and a great trim/neaten up in the winter. Once or twice, I have not been able to get Daryl and the other groomers have also been good, but I just know she likes him so I always opt for Daryl. They have remained open throughout Covid and treat my girl right. Please remember to tip your groomers!

I wish I would have read the poor reviews regarding The Pet Set on Briarcliff prior to booking my dog for a hair cut. I made a 9:00 am appointment, it was our first time booking a wash and cut so I asked if I could meet with the groomer upon arrival. I got there at 8:55 am and was told the groomer was running late and would not be there until 9:30, but that she would call me before she began the service (I was supposed to be the first appointment of the day).

After two hours I called back as I had not heard from them. Another two hours passed and I called again and was told the groomer would not get to my dog before 4:00 pm. My dog, a corgi, had been in a cage since 9:00 am and it was now 2:00 pm. I immediately went and picked her up as she had not even been let out to use the bathroom. Worse experience ever. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would advise you to look at the cramped conditions for daycare.

I have been bringing my dog here for years. Never Again. I am so sick of being harassed about my dogs vaccines. I did what you asked and it's still not good enough. The quality of service has significantly changed at the font desk as well as the groomers. If Darryl is not there to service your pet, please take them somewhere else. The harassment and lack of consideration is real.

I paid 87 and some change for my 2 dogs this past summer. I picked them up last night and was charges 130. The rude desk clerk said there was a significant price increase in August. I called twice for this recent appointment and I come from Douglasville. I was never told about a price increase or that I need to bring in shot records AGAIN. They guy initially was telling me that I could not drop the dogs off.

I told the guy last night that after all this time of doing business here, I am done. Loyalty should be mutual. Please take your pets somewhere else. This business no longer appreciate their customers. Oh did I mention how uneven and terrible my dogs look. What happen to the flea bath? The rude front desk guy said, it wasn't listed. Damn, I mentioned it twice. Why would you have any dog shampoo that does not have a flea treatment in it. this place has become worthless.

I've been extremely patient and diligent when it comes to this place, but enough is enough. The quality of customer service is poor and the turnover rate is alarming. A kindergartner follows directions more effectively than this staff. The four out of five appointments I've had here, I've been disappointed. I make sure I inform the groomers as well as the front staff face to face, over the phone and after the appointment what I'd like done and it still doesn't get done.

I'm seriously confused. Do you guys just not care or are you really this incompetent? I've given multiple chances, but it's obvious you guys are careless and I'd be crazy to leave my fur baby in your care ever again. Thank you so much Darryl for everything. Hopefully you can get an assistant that can follow simple directions and one that's just as talented as you are. I'm rooting for you to start your own service, because this place is a hot mess.

I took my fur baby here a couple times and it's not a very welcoming place, both times I've been here they just take my baby and is not very welcoming to her at all, also the 1st time they charged me $70 for a puppy trim and then a gentleman gave me half back because they charged me incorrectly. The 2nd time I went a lady who said she was the manager charged me $60 for a full hair cut but it was only a puppy trim, they clipped her nails and now she cuts me every time she touches me which is worse then her nails were prior to me taking her here, lastly, while I was rubbing her stomach I noticed she had a couple cuts on her stomach, so they're must cut her while trimming her.

I had higher expectations of this place but lesson learned, we won't be back and I'm sure the company could care less if I return or not but my money will be better spent somewhere where the value their customers and pets.

We came to drop off our dog for a temperament test prior to getting approval for boarding. First of all the staff is very disconnected, rude & unprofessional. We received a TEXT stating that our dog wasn't approved. Upon pick up not one word of his behavior was communicated to us. Not to mention the terrible odor the place has. Their operating procedures don't align with their actions.

They claim to only take dogs of a certain size and temperament but I saw aggressive 50+ lbs dogs playing with dogs under 15 lbs in the same play area. You won't even catch me buying a collar from this place.

Let me start by saying this is the first time I've created a complaint on any company. It took me awhile to even consider posting this, however I feel as if I have to. I've been a regular customer to the Piedmont location and I have 2 dogs. Upon my arrival I was made aware my normal groomer was no longer there and another groomer would assist. I was ok with that.

I noticed the groomer was with a customer and he was getting a irritated with the customer's questions. He then came to me to discuss what type of service my service options. I advised him of what I wanted and he then proceed to tell me my dog had to be shaved down. I listened to his explanation as to why and when I asked are you sure, he proceed to get irritated with me and started rolling his eyes and taking deep breaths (rudely).

I was so confused and asked for another opinion, another groomer came out and as I proceed to ask her he yelled out she is going to do what I say I'm the manager. He then proceed to try to argue with me and say he is going to refuse my service. I was emotionally so confused because my experiences in the past had been nothing like this and not only that, customers were coming in wondering what was going on.

The cashier and the other groomer was hesitant to say anything and I can tell they didn't know what to say. This was an awful experience and I would not recommend anyone visiting this location due to this reason. If he is the manager, that has me really concerned. This is in response to your reply: Thank you for replying first off. Next, the complaint was about the rude service and rude management you have.

It's about how you effectively communicate with customers. This response and reply explains why your groomers and staff cannot communicate in a professional manner with customers. When Darryl was there he showed excellent customer service and always took the time to discuss the process. As I stated above I don't leave negative reviews on any business, however I have no regrets for leaving it after your response. Hopefully someone else will see this review!

Today was grooming day for my two fur babies, Rudy and Lucy. Darrell did a great job (as usual) and they both came home looking so cute, clean and happy. I highly recommend Pet Set grooming services and Darrell in particular.

Per conversation there was supposed to be a return call however you decided to respond here which is fine. The insinuation that my pet had that FRESHLY pictured injury is appalling. I pay very close attention to my pets and take great care of them. Oreo had no injuries when she left my home nor was she sick, and to say a scab was taken off during bathing is wrong as well you can tell it's a new injury and it had fresh blood.

However after what she has undergone and the constant lack of customer service and the lack of care and concern and the wide range of excuses and pointing blame we won't be coming back for any services. My review isn't the only review with complaints about customer service or lack of care currently. Which is sad to say that we'll have to find another groomer to see since we've been customers for 5 years. Cheers to you as well

I just experienced the worst customer service of my life. After the "manager" completely ignored my question a nicer co worker comes and helps me while she is handling my situation I guess the groomer that only works on mondays comes in and starts yelling at her saying " i did not throw the dog he was being bad he deserved to be hit" as im dropping my dog off. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AT THIS COMPANY?! WHERE IS THE OWNER?!

I have never seen a grown man confront a younger female coworker the way he did especially infront of customers. she even started crying and had to go to the back. I need an explanation and I believe all of your clients do to!

Great staff that are personable and take the time to know my dogs needs. The daycare service is a great option for anyone returning to the office or those working from home that need a break. They offer packages and sales on daycare, boarding and grooming services during holidays and regular prices are a great deal!

I wanted to make sure everyone see this, and the location shows up twice, once without reviews, so I'm copying here. If there is one review that keeps you from ever coming near this place, I hope it's mine. I had to schedule a temperament test so my dog could stay for daycare in the future. For the temperament test, they told me (in writing) that he would be under "constant supervision." This is also something they have posted around their store for regular daycare as well.

Not even an hour into his test, he escaped. The best part is, I found out by Dekalb Animal Services contacting me that he had been found and brought to them. I called The Pet Set to ask if he was still there and I got this response, "Oh yeah, he escaped, we were going to call you." Dekalb Animal Services is 30 minutes from The Pet Set. There was time for him to escape, be found, be driven 30 minutes away, scanned, and then I was contacted all before The Pet Set even thought to contact me.

I called asking if his leash/collar were still at The Pet Set so I could pick them up and I was told the owner would like speak to me. He proceeded to waste ten minutes telling me how it was a homeless person's fault for messing with his fence and went on and on about how they constantly supervise and he's glad more dogs didn't get out. Essentially, the entire conversation was about how this effected him, and not me.

In the end, I wasn't even offered anything for this. Just a simple, "Sorry." Please never trust these people with your dog. And if your dog was here for daycare on 4/12/2021, just know that they didn't tell you your dog almost escaped.

After scheduling my dog for a grooming appointment two days prior to his appointment and dropping him off at 7 am. I received a call at 1pm that they had over booked their groomer by two dogs and they couldn't groom him today. I would need to reschedule for next Tuesday almost a week later. Save yourself the time and find another pet grooming business.

It took over a month to get an appointment for our dog's haircut. We originally went to the Modtown location where they were honest and told us that they could not do the cut for the breed and told us to go to Briarcliff. When we went in we spoke with the groomer to make sure he knew how to do the correct cut for the breed. We even had photos. He assured us he could do it and that did not happen!

Our dog looks absolutely horrible. They did not do the correct cut at all. They also charged us full price for the worst cut our little one has ever had. What is worse, they made us feel comfortable that they knew what they were doing. We've never been more disappointed in a groomer.

Grooming apointment for 2:30, arrive to find groomer left at 1:00 The cashier, without even making eye contact says, oh well I text you. I most certainly never received a text. Even if that were the case, one should always confirm a change in schedule. Most definitely will not be back.

Update: your employee charged me twice. Also, your manager stated you all had a new system. So regardless of what your "system" shows. I was in fact charged twice. No bank will charge someone twice. That's not how it works. Anyway, I disputed the charge with my bank. I will find somewhere more professional to receive grooming services with my dog as the communication with your company is piss poor. No response from you is needed.

Updated: Submitted a request for appointment last week, didn't hear back at all. Decided to call today and the woman acted as if I didn't know what I was doing. I always did mobile grooming and since my person was booked through the month, I asked about in person. She continuously interrupted me and got snarky about me asking questions on how they groom. Decided to end the call and simply made the decision not to be a client anymore. Great product but horrible and frustrating service at every single touchpoint.

Daryl is their best groomer. Their prices are the best I've seen and Daryl always makes my dog look like a show dog! Very knowledgeable. Daryl noticed my pup's hair was locking, so he individually cut each one off with scissors. meticulous, kind, and excellent. I'm unsure of their other services, but Daryl is top notch.

At first my neigbour recommended this place, but it looks like he had the same experience after few times, this place needs to be reported, I called the place of business to talk to someone in charge and the owner/manager was not around, the person that serviced my dog was not around they told me that they would let him know, 24 hours later, no call, I don't think they care, we are taking our doggy to the vet today, since he has been crying all night, something is definitely wrong.

I took my dog her for a groom to get shaped up. The experience booking was very easy. They respond promptly to text and email. I originally wanted the mobile service however they worked with me to ensure I was comfortable bringing him for curbside drop off. The employees wore masks and the team overall was very welcoming. For his groom, I sent a photo and was specific with my request.

They did a great job delivering! My dog smelled so great. His teeth were in good shape and all the knots were gone. His nails were trimmed evenly and he had the cutest bandana on him after it was over. I will be booking another appointment to ensure my dog is clean, free of matted hair, and with impeccable teeth! I have been in tears and truly upset for the last two weeks. Brought my dog there for grooming, showed them pictures of what I wanted. In addition to cutting all of my dog's hair off, there was a spot of blood on my dog. I spoke with the manager several times about a refund and they never provided one. Do not support this horrible business. To the respondent's point about bringing my dog in - she was shaking when I picked her up. Why would I bring her back to experience the trauma all over again?

If I could give a 0, I ABSOLUTELY would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! Our dog was killed under their supervision last week! My sister dropped our beloved 6lb Yorkie off this morning for a trial doggy daycare visit before using them for boarding. She was told her baby girl would watched the full time and put with other SMALL dogs. Within a couple hours she got a call that our dog had been killed by an English bulldog while under supervision of an attendant.

This is very unacceptable for a place that says "We separate pets by sizes into play areas." A bull dog is much larger than a tiny 6lb yorkie. I do not see how a staff member was not able to control the situation before this escalated so far. We were told there was no need to take Lexi to the vet because she was already gone by the time they got the other dog off of her. However, they do not have veterinary staff on hand to confirm this. Our family is extremely devastated by the loss and do not want to see other families go through the same heartbreak.

They are not even deserve for one star. We recently moved from Washington DC I found this place in yelp so I decided to give a shot because it was close to my house. But I should have read more reviews. PLEASE PLEASE do NOT drop your pet off here It's a glorified caged environment. Horrible. My husband dropped our cat at this sh**t whole place for grooming, so they supposed to give him back in 2 hours.

After 5 hours, My cat was returned to us with bleeding and cut ear he is pure show Persian cat he got injured for rest of his life. can you believe that. I don't want to explain the details that how careless manger and stupid groomer act. But we open the court claim against them anyway. Please do not stop by in this place.
