Pet Sitters, Inc. provides exceptional care for pets who are truly a member of the family. No need to board your pet in a kennel while you travel! We place your pet in a private home while you are away. After a 15-20 minute phone interview with you, we will match your pet with one of our 35 carefully selected homes to live as the sitter's house pet while you travel.We will decline care, rather than place it in the wrong home. So, if your pet is used to sleeping on the bed at night, we will match your pet with a home where it would be welcomed on the bed.

Pet Sitters, Inc. was founded by Janet McCann who has owned and operated it since 1982. She personally interviews each owner over the phone to be sure the correct match is found. The goal is that your pet will fit into someone's home where it quickly becomes a member of the sitter's family. Janet McCann was asked to help write the regulations for licensing of pet sitting services by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.
1. Via a phone interview, we get to know the personality, lifestyle and health of your pet. 3. We provide you with the sitter's phone number and we encourage you to take your pet and meet your sitter before you depart. Sitters are available seven days a week for drop-off and pick-up; we just request that you work with the sitter for convenient times.

Recently, online-based companies have begun to offer pet sitting services in the area, but owners beware!

Janet helped us find a pet sitter for our 4 year old femal German Shepard "Odessa" who does not like other dogs. It stressed us (and Odessa) when we would go out of town because we knew she would be surrounded by other dogs. Janet found us the perfect match and Odessa immediately fell in love. I can't thank her enough for easing our worries when we are out of town!
