Services
Thanks for making us your trusted provider for grooming and boarding services! We've held off on increases as long as we can but the latest round of supply cost increases forced our hand. We will inform you of the new pricing on your next booking. Please also consider tipping your groomer a little extra to help with with their increased personal costs (gas, scissors, etc.) if you're able. If you have questions, please give us a call at 803-366-7350 during business hours and we'll be happy to discuss details.
Whether you have a seasonal shedder or a constant shedder, our proprietary De-Shed Treatment is the answer. We can give you your house back! As you can see on this cute short coated client, de-shedding removes undercoat and loose hair, it does not chop it off.
Standard Bath Includes: Shampoo with premium products, blow dry, ear cleaning and nail trim. Our proprietary de-shedding treatment reduces shedding by up to 80%! It includes special shed control conditioning shampoo, shed control conditioner, blow-dry, and extended brushing. We guarantee you will be amazed at how much undercoat and shedding hair is gently and safely removed! Hair de-matting is a labor and time intensive process which is quoted at the time of service based on the exact conditions of the coat.
With our cageless boarding service, each family has their own "bedroom". This is where they stay when they're not in one of our play areas. We have an indoor and outdoor dog play area - including secure fenced outdoor yards for play time and exercise. In addition to our full-time day staff and our nightly tuck-in service, a member of our staff lives on-property overnight for the safety and comfort of guests.

Finally! A groomer that knows how to groom doodles! I tried Pet Village back in December after an awful experience with a well known pet store grooming service that left my beautiful springer doodle shaved due to a groomer that did not know enough about the doodle breed of dog. Pet Village did a great job. They knew about doodles and knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, someone talked me into trying a different groomer, that was closer to home when my dog needing to be groomed the next time.

It was another awful experience and I learned my lesson! That groomer also decided my dog needed to be shaved. They obviously did not do their research about doodle hair either! But then, I went back to Pet Village. THEY understand doodles and their hair. THEY understand owners of doodles (and other breeds). THEY did a marvelous job! They will have my business from now on.

We had a very unique experience with Pet Village. Our sweet Mister was with them while we were out of town on vacation. Unfortunately, while we were away Mister passed away. The employees of PV were so sweet and so accommodating. They helped us handle things while we were away and they genuinely cared for us during such a confusing time. While our experience certainly was not the norm, we can't say enough good things about how good to us they were and we are so appreciative of their kindness.

If I could give a 0 star I would! I took my chihuahua there for the first time, she bit the lady who took her, along with me, which has never happened. When I pick her up she seems very lethargic so I carry her outside. Well we get home and I set her down in the yard and my poor baby is limping! I will never take her back to this place. Obviously she didn't trust them(she bit) and something happened to her. When I called all they said was oh she he eyes on her the whole time. I don't trust this place. My dogs will never go back.

Absolutely wonderful! They took the very best care of our fur babies while we went out of the country. We got daily updates and pictures and picked up clean dogs so all we had to worry about was getting them back home. Thank you so much for everything! We will furever use Pet Village for boarding!

Our Yorkis was very overgrown to say the least. After her bath and grooming here at Pet Village she's the cutest girl ever! I cannot say enough about our experience and we'll be back! Thank you so much!

I have them groom my elderly American Eskimo and they do a great job everytime. He can't stay in a cage so they work around it and get him in and out. They are always busy, but find a way to set an appointment in a reasonable time.

Pet Village was awesome I dropped my 7 month husky off for a weekend I was so scared because it was my first time leaving her. They sent me pictures with updates told me to call anytime to check on her. My husky isn't Crate trained so it was a big plus that they have there's on little room. I will use Pet Village again.

The grooming services are decent but everytime I've taken my dogs here to be groomed I have paid for them to have their glands expressed. According to our vet, (we had to take them bc they were really dragging around & crying as they did so) the groomers have never actually done their glands at all, but have charged us each time. They also keep putting bows in their hair with these tiny little rubber bands that consistently tangle & get stuck in their hair & have to be cut out, even after we've requested multiple times that they not do so. They also barely trim the nails. The haircuts are good though.

My pups stayed 5 days here at the Pet Village. They were well taken care of and super happy when I picked them up. My pups were clean and came home with a few extra goodies! I definitely appreciate all they did! This is where I will board my furbabbies going forward

Best decision ever for my fur baby's needs. I live in TN but visit the area frequently and my little Yorkie needed groomed. With several to choose from, I'm so glad I chose Pet Village. I'm very picky yet somewhat indecisive at times and they did exactly what I needed. I travel a lot and Precious has to be hotel and travel ready all the time. The groomers were amazing, caring and still very professional and the price was very easy on the pocketbook. I highly recommend Pet Village.

I scheduled an appointment for my two dogs. Before scheduling I inquired about their policies on covid. I was assured every employee wears a mask while inside and they cannot control what customers do, but do ask all customers to wear a mask upon entering the building. I expressed my gratitude for their precautions and booked the appointment. I arrive today with my two dogs.

A woman opens the door for me. I assume she's walking out since she doesn't have on a mask. She instead holds the door open for me and then follows me inside, shutting the door behind her. I am greeted by receptionist, mask around her chin, mouth and nose completely exposed. Behind her the dog groomer, no mask in sight. I am stunned. All three employees, none have masks on.

While I'm expressing my distaste for being told one thing on the phone and then to arrive and see that zero precautions are being taken for mine, my family's and my animals well being, yet another person walks in from the staff door. no mask. Unbelievable! If my puppy hadn't broke his collar and almost ran in the road just before, I would have walked out upon entering a small building being surrounded by employees with no masks.

I was terrified to take my puppy back outside, afraid I couldn't get him to the car safely. I was put into a very anxiety filled situation; having had my puppy escape his collar and almost get hit by a car in parking lot. I wanted to get him inside to a safe place. Then to enter and see that every thing I was told on the phone was BS. making everything in me tell me to run out, leave and never come back, yet being scared.

Which is the lesser of two evils? Leave and risk my dog running back into a 55mph main road? Or keep the appointment and pray they don't have covid, pass it to my dogs who will then pass it to me and my high risk family? I was in a daze. the woman who held the door had went to the side to grab a disposable mask from a desk then came back and took one of my two dogs.

I was in shock. Told the employees the importance of mask wearing, how I was lied to and would never have come knowing the way they truly are handling things regarding covid. They said they would wear masks and would groom them on back porch. I left. Came home, cried, shaking, super upset. Was told before leaving would be a couple hours. 4hours later I get call that one of my dogs is done.

I ask about the other and was met with surprise that I had another dog, placed on hold for them to come back on and say oh yeah, he'll be done in about 20minutes. My husband and I show up, first face we see, same teen that walked in staff door earlier with no mask, still, no mask. I had put back $120 cash for the groom. I instead used my card to pay exact amount, $100. WILL NEVER COME BACK!

If y'all have infected my dogs which in turn will infect me and my family and any of us die from your deceit, negligence and blatant BS, you can expect a law suit. Also have reported your lies to BBB. Peoples lives are at stake. You don't want to take It seriously, fine. But do not make such aronious statements of taking precautions only to show that none of what was said was true. Also, dogs haircuts aren't very good. Puppy's got one eyebrow much longer than the other, uneven leg hair length.

The other has several choppy parts and also uneven hair length, tail they completely forgot to do. I waited over a year to get my fur babies groomed due to covid. This is the first place they've been postcovid. I have risked everything for my dogs to be groomed by a professional, I am truly upset beyond words with the entire experience. DO NOT recommend, not even to my enemies. HORRIBLE!

My dog Carson is a special needs blind rescue dog with a lot of skin issues due to his medication. Gina and Caren are wonderful co-owners and really care about the dogs who come in. They make everyone feel welcomed and Carson loves the extra attention he receives. The bathers do an excellent job getting him squeaky clean and pay fine attention to detail. Tolli is amazing at the Furminator de-shed treatment and they use the highest quality shampoos and conditioners along with it. Carson used to shed ALOT but now we can go an entire month or two without any loose fur.

They also do a great job grinding his nails short and they are really smooth to the touch afterwards. The Pet Village prices are very reasonable and they are very accommodating too! Check them out this is a lovely family owned grooming and boarding business, you will not be disappointed!

New owners! They NO longer sell puppies! Had my dog groomed there last week and was very pleased! Great job, great price and excellent customer service. They called me as soon as my dog was ready for pick up so that he didn't have to spend all day there. Thank you, new owners!

It's a new day at The Pet Village. In August 2019, it was taken over by new owners who have gotten rid of all live animal sales - no more puppies, kittens, fish, rats, etc., and gotten rid of all the random pet supplies. The new owners come from the animal rescue world and approach the business differently. They now only offer grooming, bathing and cageless boarding services. Their focus is on the basics instead of trying to be all-things to all-people and not being awesome at any of them.

Pet Village has undergone a lot of changes over the last 6 months. A year ago, I'm not sure I would have been comfortable using the services of the place but now you can tell the new ownership actually care. They no longer sell animals, supplies, or stuff. They only provide grooming and cageless boarding services. Their lead groomer, Caren, was the owner of Chester Grooming Barn and has been in the industry a long time. She knows her stuff.

This pet grooming and boarding business provides a friendly atmosphere when a customer first walks in, but that is where the good ends. I've tried them twice. The first time I was barely satified with their grooming service only because I felt I may not have explained adequately enough what I wanted done. The second time I described in detail what I wanted done, but that was disregarded and they just did what they felt was best for my fur baby, and even that was poorly executed.

With them being one of the most expensive groomers in Rock Hill one would think the customer's instruction and happiness would be paramount. But not only did they make me angry with total disregard of my instructions, but they then expected full payment. Needless to say that my pooch will never be put in their care again. The owner's reply is BS.

I gave specific instructions to just trim his mane, blend the line at back of neck, clean up around his ears, and leave the hair on the back of his legs to one woman, but the job was done by another. All of that was cut way short, and I still had to cut a lot of long strands left behind when I got him home. It was a lousy job any way it's turned, and then they had the audacity to be angry and argumentative at me the customer when I expressed my displeasure.

Prior to this past weekend, I had not left my fur babies in a boarding facility for the past FIVE years. So you can imagine my anxiety level when leaving them for 3 nights. In fact, I still would not have left them if it were not for the ability to leave them with Gina. Gina put me at ease and promised to take good care of my babies. She kept her promise.

I have 5 babies, 2 of whom have post-trauma issues as rescues. Gina recognized this, and took extra special care of them. When I picked them up, my babies were happy to see me, but not in a way that suggested they had been miserable the whole time I was gone. They were happy and well-taken care of. And Gina had learned ALL five of their names and their individual personalities. Thanks to Gina, I will no longer say no to trips because I fear leaving my babies.

Jaxon is one happy boy! AND cuter than ever, thanks to his grooming from Pet Village! First Gina rescued him from a backyard breeder and got him to me, now she's continuing to take care of our boy. Thank you, Gina and Erika for all you do! If you want your furbabies to look (almost) as good as Jaxon (I might be biased), take them to Pet Village!

They do a great job of grooming and it is very reasonable! The puppies they offer for sale are top notch! High quality puppies. We bought guinea pigs from there at least 9 years ago and they are still going strong. They offer free nail clippings on the guinea pigs for their lifespan!

I love this place! I bought my Rat Terroir from here, over a year ago. The groomer gave him a bath, trimmed his nails and he was ready to come home with me. He was 8 weeks and in great health. I also went back and bought him a winter coat from here and it didn't fit, they had no problem returning it for an other one. I go in just to play with the puppies every now and than. Never has their been a problem. I Love this place!

Bought my toy Australian Shepherd from here and we love her. Great local dogs AND Linda was extremely helpful. While some reviewers say she is rude, I believe that is just a curt personality. She makes sure the dogs will go to loving and caring homes and made sure we had everything we needed without being pushy to "make the sale". Merchandise can be found cheaper on amazon but our puppy is doing great!

This place is HORRIBLE! I feel like a previous reviewer this place is not worthy of one star. When I walked in a customer was picking up their pet which was there getting groomed and the employee was explaining how the dog was injured under their care. The staff is EXTREMELY rude. There was a little ring up front with puppies in it. I picked up one of the puppies and one of the employees snatched the puppy out of my arms with so much force and stated in the nastiest tone. that dog is already sold.

No more pet village for me! I've taken my yorkie there for a haircut the last 3 times and all 3 times it was wrong. Nothing complicated just wanted my yorkie buzzed, no trimming or anything really just a buzz and a bath. After the lady was extremely rude to me when dropping off my dog this morning, and insisting on leaving the hair on my dogs head and tail long while shaving the rest, I told her the reason I have him there is because the hair on his face is so long he can't hardly see so the shorter the better because it won't take long to grow back, after I finally got her to somewhat understand what I wanted then my wife goes to pick him up and she left his face and tail long, which is exactly what she did the 2 times before that.

I don't know why she thinks everyone wants their small dogs cut that way, I had to shave him myself after I got him home and I didn't want to make a scene in her store so I figured I'd come on here and leave a bad review. It's a waste of $40, they are very rude and do not listen to the costumers instructions.

While they have a good selection of dogs and provide you with a plethora of information, they are incredibly rude. One of the women, Linda, is so rude it's ridiculous. My roommate and I were looking to buy a puppy and we have been looking around, and we've been in a few times just to look at our options. Every time we go in we are glared at, spoken down to, and not treated as a customer. It's ridiculous.

How can you run a business being so rude to potential customers? As much as we love the puppies I don't know if I can do business with such a hateful woman. I'll stick with the humane society.

My Grandson got a rabbit from here for Christmas. It ended up dying one week later. We got a replacement and she ended up dying one week later. Maybe they need to quit selling sick rabbits.

Since the 1980s, my family has purchased 5 puppies, numerous other pets, and lots of toys, gifts, food, and treats from Pet Village. For years I thought they were the only respectable pet store I knew of. But I'm finally done with them. I've taken my older dog to them several times for grooming, and took the puppy in for the first time recently.

They don't listen to what you tell them and my dogs have come out with something wrong each time. This weekend the woman checking us in rolled her eyes and copped an attitude because she didn't think I'd had the puppy groomed early enough to suit her (suit her pocketbook, no doubt). Her irritation seemed to stem from the fact that it was a busy Saturday morning.

In order to get in, you have to call ahead for a reservation, so she knew how many people were coming. If you don't want that much traffic, accept fewer reservations. The staff offers very poor customer service and frequently gives customers the impression that they are a nuisance. Due to poor customer service, rude behavior, and the fact that their groomers don't listen to or respect the wishes of the owners, I won't be doing further business with Pet Village. I'll take my money and my furbabies elsewhere for their care.

If i could leave 0 stars I would. Very RUDE ladies who obviously own this place. They treated me terrible and didn't even want to answer anything unless I wanted to buy one of there $700 puppies. Smells awful and animals are neglected and living in nasty cages. If I could take all the animals and take care of them myself I totally would. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!

All the owners care about is making money and I mean almost everything over-priced. How can these people sleep at night? A bird there looked pitiful, it had feathers missing like the other birds had attacked it. If it's still alive now I would be very surprised. I pray this place makes a huge change by getting different owners or gets shut down ASAP!

If there were a No Stars category I'd select it! PEOPLE DO NOT GO TO PET VILLAGE ON OLD YORK ROAD! THOSE POOR ANIMALS AND THE CONDITIONS THEY LIVE IN.MY DAUGHTER AND I LEFT THERE IN TEARS JUST NOW! NOTE TO PET VILLAGE OWNERS! Those poor animals. The conditions are awful. Have you not looked at the living conditions of the birds? Their flesh is exposed from being attacked by the other birds and it's barely breathing and the water is moldy.

How are u even still in business? How many hamsters are you trying to fit into a small fish aquarium? Are you so ignorant that you don't know that you can't use wood chips for ferret bedding? It's basic knowledge. People. beware. This is not a place to buy pets from. They don't care. Just want your money.
