My experience here was great! I worked with a manager I believe his name was Austin. He was just wonderful. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I will definitely be coming back!

I have two healthy adult dogs that I purchased from Petland, as well as a Bichon I got for my mom and a Yorkie I got for my best friend 7 years ago. Our babies are all healthy, normal dogs. We haven't had any real issues with their health at all. The warranties are great and cover a lot of stuff that breeders wouldn't. So if we had had any problems, I feel confident Petland would have helped us to the best of their ability.

I don't feel I overpaid for anything, I purchased a puppy + warranties, dewormings, current vaccinations, a lifetime microchip, knowledge from the person who sold me our puppies, etc.

I love getting to see the dogs and interact with them in the rooms! The employees were nice and answered the questions we had. The only thing was a lot of the dogs seem to have diarrhea and they seemed sad being cooped up in the Kennels.

My fiance and I went to Petland to play with the puppies, but we fell in love with a shih poo. He seemed perfectly fine, aside from a small cough. When we asked how much he was, the woman told us $2000. We are both in college so that was definitely way too much, but we loved the puppy SO much. After talking it over, we decided to get him. The day after we took him home, he had bloody poop and bloody puke.

We freaked out and got him to the vet, who requested Teddy (our puppy) stay overnight. She told us that he had an upper respiratory infection. We just paid $2000 for a puppy that is sick and needs hospitalization? Long story short, our puppy was diagnosed with pneumonia. Teddy had to go back and forth to the hospital for a couple months, sometimes having to stay one week at a time.

We tried talking to the Petland staff, who always referred us to the corporate number (they were all very rude). We asked for at least half of our money back after going through the heartache of Teddy's sickness. Now, seven months later, Teddy is doing lots better. After closely monitoring the sicknesses with the vet, he has been completely taken off his medicine and is happy and healthy. Hopefully he does not have any congenital diseases like other Petland puppies have experienced. Also. we are NOT the only ones who had this problem.

There are hundreds of people around the country who have experienced this EXACT thing, sometimes even resulting in their puppy's death. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS. ADOPT FROM A SHELTER OR A BREEDER, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE HEARTLESS PEOPLE.

Only let us see one dog then employee said we couldn't see anymore. Also employee kept coming back and nagging on us telling us we needed to hurry up. So we really didn't enjoy our time here and I much more prefer the one in Overland Park employee just kept and kept coming back and finally just took the puppy. Won't be coming back.

Purchased a puppy I love dearly from here. However she has a genetic condition that was discovered with in the second month of having her. The surgery that would help her have a better life costs 5k. While the condition is congenital, petland will not cover any costs because it requires a specialist to treat. If it could be treated without a specialist they would cover 50%. I should have known better than to get a dog from petland. While I do love my dog, I know her condition is form shady puppy mill breeding that petland supports.

I am in utter SHOCK! I FINALLY found a puppy exactly what myself and my children were looking for. I spoke with them and they were very friendly. I asked about the price and it was $3000! Then she said I could make an offer, so I did and the lady, Heather, said she wouldn't even approach the breeder with my offer! WHAT? I then asked if she would ask the breeder what the best price was they could do.

I was told "The breeder doesn't like us asking that question, just with counter offers" I said, I just gave you a counter offer. Then I was told my offer was to low to present to the breeder! I proceeded to ask if they had a military discount. I was told YES, on everything but a puppy! Someone PLEASE explain the business or professionalism of this?

Maybe I missed something in the number of years I was in college or something. I honestly don't like writing bad reviews but this one absolutely BLEW MY MIND! BE CAREFUL!

OK, how do we start this. We purchased a $2,000 dollar registered puppy. he was fine when we took him home. got sick within two days, was in and out of vets for two weeks. more $. at 6 months, he had teeth problems, ,, took to vet, more $. at 8 months he started not using one of his back legs, took to vet, needs to have surgery for a genetic defect. lots of money, Petland will pay 50%, waiting on the surgery to happen. now the other back leg is showing signs of the same thing! lot's more money, and it may not be covered by the time he heals from the first surgery. Please, Please, Please do not purchase pets from Petland! Thinking of starting class action lawsuit!

I've been here probably 5 times in the past few months. For a pet store in the mall I must say I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the store and the wide variety and selection of dogs. It honestly didn't smell like one would think. They have hand sanitizers stationed all over the store, which I love and think all stores should do. There's two walls that are glass that allow you to see all of the puppies and somewhat interact with them.

The employees are never pushy and just kind of step back until you motion for one of them. After you choose the dog you'd like to hold, they place you in an open cubicle-like space that has a door on it and have you wait while they go get your puppy. There is no time limit, so you can play as long as you like. Should you decide you want a puppy, I can tell you everyone is very knowledgable and seem honest about what to expect.

So by now you might be wondering why I only gave it 3 stars?. The price! Wow is it so outrageous. They like to start out being chatty and telling you the price includes immunizations, a microchip, vitamins and food to go home and certification. Then they tell you the cost. Nearly $3,000.00. Yep. Three Thousand Dollars! We quickly said bye to the puppy lol
