Services
The Pooch Parlor is a place for pets and their people that want a clean, professional and family environment for grooming. We offer many services. Most importantly, you will find that every groomer here has gone through a rigorous training program to attain their certification at the state level. The training includes more than instruction about the technical aspects of grooming and scissoring, it includes strict codes of conduct and tight guidelines for ethical treatments of pets and their owners, safety practices, and cleaning standards.

Please enter the desired date and time you would like to make a grooming appointment and what breed you will be bringing.
The Pooch Parlor Pet Groomer Academy is located in Ponderay, ID, has 7 grooming stations, four tubs, and two drying rooms. The volume of dogs varies with the season. This shop takes in 6 - 30 dogs a day. Summers are extremely busy. Fall and winter are steady. Hours are 8:30-3 Mon-Sat. All tuitions, supplies and boarding costs are tax deductible.

Great customer service, my Sedona looks amazing. * added to review 8/2020 I wanted to come back an add, I travel around the states Sedona has been groomed in Oregon, Alaska, Arizona and Virginia. But our favorite is here in Idaho. Awesome work, fair and good prices. Staff treat you and your fur baby like family.

I will never take my dog to this place, again. I was told it would take 2-3 hours to groom my golden retriever. I dropped her off at 8:30. I called at noon because I hadn't heard from anyone, yet. They said, "no, she won't be ready until 3 now, because she's sitting in the tub soaking." I showed up at 3:10 and they hadn't even started to trim her.
She said she would be ready by 4. I got a text at 3:35 saying "she is ready." She cut my retriever in 20 minutes. Anyone that owns a retriever knows it takes A LOT longer than 20 minutes to cut a dog of this breed. My retrievers coat had scissor marks all over it. She cut her mane off, instead of "thinning" it, like I asked her to do, her feathers are gone, when I asked her to "trim" them.
She looks horrible and this dog has a beautiful coat, normally. She is a "DoubleTake Golden", so anyone familiar with Danielle's dogs, is aware of how beautiful they are. She was there for 8 hours and the girls were laughing at the fact that my dog was all curled up in the back of the shop, because she was so scared.

OH MY GOODNESS. I am blown away at the quality and care taken with my dogs. They came out looking and smelling incredible. One of my dogs is super shy and timid and they were so patient and careful with her. The other is a husky mix and sheds like crazy. There wasn't a single hair of undercoat coming out of her and her fur was so soft and shiny. These girls took amazing care of my dogs and I'd recommend them to everybody.
