I was quoted a price for a vaccine over the phone that was NOT honored in the store. They charged me $2.00 extra and were going to charge me $4.00. I had called and been given the cost twice, once just yesterday, but could not remember if I talked to a woman or man. I could show them my call history and yet they still charged me a higher amount. I had driven over 20miles roundtrip to get the vaccine at a price I could afford. NORMALLY a few dollars would not matter to most folks, however, I am 100% disabled with a Service Dog and extremely limited funds so I have to plan for every expenditure.

To say the least, I was really disappointed. There was a young man on the floor taking care of the reptiles and animals who was extremely nice and informative about the animals and it was obvious he truly enjoyed working with them. He was extraordinary. If you call to get ANY price quotes get the persons name and then perhaps they will honor it. In all probability I would not return here to shop.

Would never buy chicks from here. 4 out of 5 chicks have died in 5 weeks. Other chicks that I got from a different place have thrived and none have passed away. Very heartbreaking.

I love this place.it's a smaller version of petsmart. They have everything from all sorts of pets, feed, supplies and a bunch of product to satisfy all your pets needs! The people are very friendly and helpful. It's gets a little packed at times but it's for a good reason! The only thing is the parking lot is tiny! I have a big truck and it was difficult trying to park and also leaving. But this place is awesome!

This was take 2 of my adventure with going to buy another chicken with my friend because her dog ate there's lol The first place we went, she bought a chicken. But, she wasn't sure if it was the right color. So, we came here to find another chicken that was the right color, supposedly lol The chicken from this place was fiesty lol it escaped out of the box while we were in the car, while we were getting ready to head back to the house.

It nearly attacked us all! I feared for my life! LOL I've never been so close to a chicken to where I almost got my pulled my hair! I hid myself under a jean jacket, while my friend scrambled to put the chicken back in the box lol I think I'm traumatized lol Aside from nearly getting killed by a chicken lol this visit was fun! It was like I was at a petting zoo.

I got to see a variety of birds including ducks and peacocks, pigs, lambs, goats, and etc. I also got to see snakes, tarantulas, and hamsters. I'm not sure I'll ever need to go back to this place, as I was tagging along with a friend. But, I had a fun time while I was there.

If I come back in here during my trip this week and the store is still in such horrid, neglectful condition, I will be calling animal control and reporting this location. Mesa store is fine. THIS one is a death sentence for birds. Sold me THREE sick birds. Two lovebirds and a cockatiel. All three died within a week and THANK THE LORD we quarantined them from the rest of our flock.

I work at an avian/exotic pet hospital and from a health and safety perspective, the store is gross. They offered to replace my birds, but after that, ceased all communication with me. I would much rather prefer a refund (even a partial refund would be fine), rather than receive three more, sick birds. Vet bills for exotic pets are NOT cheap. Really disappointed with this location, given that I wasted over $500 and had to watch these poor birds suffer, even with treatment. Customer service was good, but I didn't like seeing the dying lovebirds and budgies on the floor of the cage- that should have been my first red flag.

I have never been in a line that goes so quickly! Customers even got answers the needed. The people are helpful and pleasant. Not to mention the zoo they house there. All kinds of pets, furry ones, winged ones, scale backs, shelled. This is a real pet store it even smells authentic. It better than the petting zoo!

Been a customer for more than 10 years and today I didn't hang around like I useually do to see the animals. I have a bad back so I always park in the back so they can help load my scratch. I walked past 2 people that didn't seem too busy and went to do my business when I asked the cashier if someone could help me with a bag of scratch without batting an eye or asking over the radio she informed me that they were too busy filling orders.

One was helping a family buy a duck the other person was standing watching them. no fault of the owners, but I wish the new employee's wernt so unintelligent to say it nicely.

Nice pet store. We stopped here while visiting family in Arizona and loved it! Lots of products and animals and the staff were all very kind, letting me hold and show my two year old daughter bunnies and baby chick's. If I were a permanent resident this would be my go to place!

I loove going to Pratt's. Although I usually visit for a partucular item, I spend time watching the baby chicks, bunnies, reptiles and fowl. In fact, as a former mentor to young children, this was always a 'field trip' for us, interesting, fun and educational.

Terrible place to buy bunnies! Seen a customer flicking the bunnies in the head and told manger about it and he laughed like it was a joke! They still sold the bunny to the person flicking them in the head and hitting them with the igloos your employees did nothing! Not even a stop! I had to tell him not to hurt the bunnies. Great place your running here.

Your ducks in the back have no water and no food in 110 weather?!? Poor animals are panting back there barley any water. If you can't care for your animals correctly you shouldn't be in business!

Management is super racist and try to say they're not they're just "Mormon" and have different views. Avoid this place. Update from owners reply. You make people take drugs tests and pay for them out of pocket (which is weird). Also you watch the employees as they pee for said drug test. Staff will tell you that you need to cover your tattoos cause the owner is Mormon and doesn't accept them.

I have all the proof I need, and will be taking my review further. You can scroll through previous reviews of people who tried to get hired and dealt with something similar. True pieces of work here.

Pratt's Pets is a real 5 Gold Star gem of a pet store. From bearded dragons and turtles to turkeys, roosters, and goats, Pratt's Pets offers a choice of literally hundreds of different pets. The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals they care for and focused on the customers they serve. I highly recommend stopping by Pratt's Pets for a visit. For certain, the experience is worth the effort!

This place is alright, they have a lot of things and many animals however I am disappointed in how the animals in the back outside are treated.it's very hot this time of season and I just don't think it's very kind to have ducks in a cage full of hay with little to no water, the water bowls are always full of hay they look like they never get cleaned and ducks first of all belong in the water, so a tiny water bowl isn't really gonna cut it, they should have little pools in there for them I mean they're ducks! But not only that the chickens are like practically stuffed in the cages with little room to walk around and again dirty water bowls.

It is a nice store, and the employees seem nice. We got five chicks from there and three of the five didn't live for a week. We usually hatch our chicks or get them from Tractor Supply, and they have grown to adulthood. These are the first chicks that died, so I was very disappointed.

Spoke with employees for over two weeks about purchasing a ferret. Was told they wouldn't be available until Saturday at 10am when the store opened. We drove three hours and arrived BEFORE the store opened, yet they were letting people come in. Every ferret was sold before opening. When we explained we had been told numerous times they couldn't be sold until 10am at opening and we had driven three hours, we were told "that sucks for you" and the employee walked away. It's one thing if they had decided that morning to let people in much earlier than opening (which sucks given we arrived long before opening to begin with) but the attitude of the employee to say what they said. Needless to say, we found a different pet store to buy from who were extremely pleasant to work with.

I would never give Pratt's pets a dime or step foot in one of their stores after how their employee talked to us. They need to be clear to customers on how they plan to sell hard to find pets and if they plan to presale the morning they become available so people don't drive out of their way to go to their store. We spoke to them half a dozen times to be told each time 10am to arrive earlier than 10am and already be sold out before opening. They also need to hire staff that aren't rude to customers.

I love Pratt's. They have been around a long time and have anything you need for an animal. They have feed, treats, toys and animals for purchase. Their animals are well taken care of and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They were doing some remodeling but they have livestock animals out back as well. Their prices are reasonable and I'm sure we will pop in again soon!

I bought 5 chicks from here and 6 from a local breeder. The 5 I bought from here out of them I have had 3 die but the 6 I got elsewhere are still alive. I understand chicks dying is common but these chicks appeared healthy and still passed away suddenly. I have raised chicks for a while and have never experienced anything like it.

My biggest issue with this store is how they treat their rats/mice. They have no wheel, no water or food in their habitat. I had two different occasions where I was shown rats to look at and those two times I felt extremely bad for them. I know they are feeders, they still deserve a good habitat. A lot of people will adopt them as pets. On instance we opened the bin where they are all kept and only to find 2 rats eating another one.

How long was it there that no employee checked it out? I wish I had taken a photo. Feeders are still live animals and deserve a good habitat even if they won't live for long.

I bought a rat from here for a pet. One of the employees was throwing them back in a box and grabbing them by the tails and dropped my new pet into a bag without any holes. I have two other rats at home that I bought from the Pratt's in Mesa and they treated them way better. Absolutely disgusting how this Pratt's treat animals.

They knowingly sell ferrets to residents of California. They had a waiting line and the manager said a few of them drove all the way from California to buy a ferret. May not be a big deal to some, but ferrets are illegal in California and if caught will be confiscated and sometime euthanized.

Absolutely recommend this location. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The manager, Daniel, was very helpful when we made a purchase at the store. There was an issue with our purchase and when we brought it to Daniel's attention, he was very attentive to the matter and made the situation right with great follow up. Daniel went above and beyond to help us. We will continue to make all of our pet care purchases at the Glendale location.

This place is run by someone that clearly does not care about customers or animals. Purchased two Egg Laying Hens and received two Egg Laying Hens and hundreds of Mites! I am now forced to treat my entire flock with some powered stuff because it's highly contagious and easily transferable to the other ladies we have. The Hens were sold without being checked by staff.

They arrived via sketchy pickup truck in the alley then placed in a cage and handed to us by staff. The people dropping off the Hens in the pickup truck were wearing Nacho Libre masks. Let it be noted, the masks were super cool, however, the Mites on the Hens were not. Thanks for the diseased chickens and extra expenses! Never ever again will I shop at Pratt's Glendale! Shout out to the the likely undocumented aliens for their cool masks and their ill poultry!

I would absolutely give 0 stars if I could. This place is SICKENING. A good friend of mine bought a pig from this location and the "employees", I use this term lightly, should be IMMEDIATELY FIRED. First of all, they were told (with EXTREME) certainty, that this pig was a male, and not female. They then proceeded to CONTINUOUSLY tell them the best thing to do in this pig being a male is to tie a rubber band around "his" balls and let it just die and fall off because "the animals don't seem to mind it." What. The. F***.

Not only is that ANIMAL CRUELTY, but it is asking for THOUSANDS of dollars in veterinary bills for them having to correct the damage done by such an ignorant action, or potentially having the pig DIE from sepsis and infection from the site. Pratt's you need to STOP SELLING ANIMALS AND STICK TO SELLING FOOD AND COLLARS. You are JUST as bad as puppy mills, and are solely in it for the profit and NOT the animal's best interest.

The fact that you have workers telling your clientele this is INCREDIBLY disturbing and will absolutely be reported. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. ( I left a review 2 years ago about how awful this place is and it just seems to be getting worse and worse. This place need shut down ).
