Rabbitears Pet Supply Due to some confusion, We would like to clarify some things regarding access to the facility. Those wishing to purchase supplies may do so at any time during business hours. Access is limited to the front counter area, and we will happily gather anything you may need from the back. Adoptions and services all require appointments, which are.
RabbitEARS needs your support. New businesses, small businesses, and non-profit 501(c)(3)s are all in danger of having to close, and RabbitEARS is all three of these.
Services
RabbitEARS is now in a new, more central location in Oakland to better serve all of your pet supply needs while continuing in our mission to rescue bunnies in need. We also have new hours to make us more accessible. Find us from 12 noon to 8 pm, Wednesday through Sunday, at 6124 Telegraph Ave, Oakland CA 94609. We are closed Monday and Tuesday.
Having your furry friends nails trimmed regularly is essential for good foot health. To this end, we offer nail trimming, anal gland expression, and de-shedding for rabbits and guinea pigs, by appointment. Please Note: for Rabbits, appointments are only available with proof of current vaccination against RHDV-2 (more than 7 days and less than one year since the vaccine was administered).
Our Store is a great place to get your pets' nutrition needs met, while supporting a great cause. For the herbivores, we always stock fresh hay in multiple varieties, hand selected weekly to ensure the best possible nutrition. We commonly stock Timothy hay, Orchard grass, and Alfalfa. We carry the Oxbow line of packaged hay as well, including several blends to excite the appetite. In addition to our hay, we stock Oxbow and Selective brand fortified foods, multiple healthy supplements, and delicious treats.
The first step in the adoption process is to schedule an initial visit. To schedule an appointment, email rabbitearsrescue@gmail.com. During your initial visit, you will be able to view all of the adoptable animals at the facility, and potentially spend some one on one time if you find someone special.

Boy, the owner is like a rabbit GURU. Such a good resource to have for bunny owners. Believes in the products he sells bc he knows the best practice. Also they have grooming services and boarding.

They really know about rabbits and take excellent care of them. I take my rabbit for nail trims and have boarded him there once. Love this place. Everyone who works there is super knowledgeable and cares about your rabbit.

Well my initial call was for to adopt two pet rabbits They responded immediately The conversation was very polite & informative Unfortunately they are not allowing interviews until the end of April & welcomed me to set up & appointment at that time They were very nice & thoughtful I'm not buying an "Easter rabbit " but pets So I'm willing to wait although I've already bought my hutch etc I appreciated the hospitality They have great info on how the process works & seems like they really want these rabbits have good homes That I appreciated! So if you are looking for any pet to adopt I think you will be pleased Will let everyone know when I can bond with my rabbit & how it worked

Rabbit Ears Rescue were incredibly helpful and responsive when I contacted them about a potential need for an emergency boarding of pets for a client escaping domestic violence. They clearly had high standards of care for the pets they board and while we did not end up requiring their services, I would recommend them highly.

Great hay and a beautiful vibe. If you have a rabbit in your life, and you live nearby, this is a great place.

I was walking to the Ethiopian restaurant nearby and happen to stumble upon RabbitEARS and am so glad I did. This non-profit and the people who run it are totally awesome! They have bunnies available for adoption, but also sell rabbit supplies as well. I have my own rescued rabbit Mr. Bunny, so feel particularly passionate about helping an organization that focuses on rabbits.

While I was in the store I bought a t-shirt with the RabbitEARS logo, Timothy hay flake, Timothy hay pellets, and a couple toys for my rabbit. I most definitely want to come back and buy additional items to help support RabbitEARS again in the future. If you are in the area and want to learn more about their organization, definitely stop by and talk to them! I'm so glad that RabbitEARS exists and highly recommend this organization to others.

Great customer service and they truly care for their animals! I purchased a dog toy here and am so happy to have a business like this in the neighborhood. The owner, James, always is so kind to my dog and even prepares little samples of treats for us.

I been to Rabbitears a few times to get free rabbit poop for my garden. The last 2 times I got 11 bags. Staff was friendly and give me a cart to haul to my car. Just call them ahead of time so they know you are coming and have some available.

I was recommended to this place for supplies from Saveabunny in Marin. Didn't let me down! The store owner was friendly, asked questions and made some recommendations. We're newer to fostering rabbits, so it was really helpful! Will definitely go again and would definitely recommend this place for rabbit supplies (I bought hay and some treats).

We turned Rabbitears over to James as manager and the nonprofit that supports them. He and his coworkers are very dedicated and we know they will continue to provide an important service to rabbit lovers in the Bay Area. - Steve Denney and Judy Hardin, now living in Plainview Texas.

What a great place! We adopted a bunny and were very ignorant about bunnies and bunny care, and the owner has been so generous with his time in educating us about our furry friend. They are clearly passionate about their mission and helping people be better bunny stewards. We plan to board our bunny here when we go on vacay.

Homey rabbit/Guinea pig/mouse/rat storefront rescue place with a score or more animals lovingly tended by kindly volunteers. Food and supplies are available, including some specialty cat and dog food (very dear, but very special.) They were gentle and supportive of the enthusiasm and curiosity of the 3.5 year old child who was with us. Worth a look if you are interested in a different type of pet.

John, James, Kate and all the staff and volunteers are wonderful and will help you find a loving bunny (or guinea pig!) companion for you and your family. An animal rescue organization, their prices for food, treats and hay make pet ownership more affordable than shopping at retail stores. The staff are immensely knowledgeable about the animals. Great experience adopting from here. Affordable adoption fees made it easier to take my little guy home. Lots of smiles here! Stop by for a visit and get some bunny love

We picked up our rescue guinea pig from RabbitEARS and are so glad we did. Knowledgable staff that is very friendly and helped us choose the right new addition to our family. Our son loves coming by and looking at the rabbits every time we come back to buy hay and supplies. Definitely recommend coming here for your next rescue pet. Never buy your pets from pet shops!

I stopped by one evening out of curiosity and I was amazed to see a wonderland of rescued bunnies. It was relieving to see the hard work the staff and business put in to rescue rabbits, mice, rats, Guinea pigs, etc. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions on rabbit care. The space they have did have a look of disorganization at first but the space is sanitary and maintained. I let friendly bunnies sniff and lick my hand through the cages and I would have been allowed to hold one of I asked. I love this adorable place.
