Shaving a dog down to the skin has little merit. It places the animal at risk of scratches and irritation when out of doors as it does not allow the natural coat to protect it from lawn chemicals and insects. It may also damage the coat as it may not allow it to grow back normally and it removes the natural insulation the dog has from the Florida heat.
We know every dog is special and unique therefore we take extra time with each animal to ensure they are well cared for while at the Spa. Different breeds take specific amounts of time to properly hand dry and groom. Please feel free to ask for a time estimate when bringing your pooch to the Spa. To ensure you are able to have the time you prefer, we recommend booking your appointment at least a week or two in advance.
At the Red Hydrant Spa, we offer the following Add-On Services for your pet's Spa & Grooming Day:. Pet bad breath is often overlooked, but it's actually one of the first signs of oral disease. At any one time, 80% of all dogs and 70% of all cats show signs of dental and oral health diseases. Regular dental care can add as much as five years to a pet's life.

My Coton Maltese, Bogart, had an appointment this morning. I am so pleased with his grooming. His coat is so white and his cut is perfect. We moved here from Oregon about 2 years ago and Red Hydrant is the Best groomer we have used. Their facility is very clean and everyone is very professional. Thank you!

We had a great experience all around. Our dog was fairly oily, because he missed his last appointment. I never met Paige, but she has groomed him the last two times, and he always looks so handsome afterwards. He smelled lovely too. Last time I thought he was too perfume-y, but I'm sensitive to that. This time was great.

Haven't been there in a couple years, so trying new groomer Paige. Very quick service. Great customer service and friendly. Done in just over an hour. For a doodle haircut, though, her head topper was too short, so will have it grow out and Keep more on the top for more rounded head look. Best to bring a picture of what you like.

I had both of my short hair dogs groomed here. The folks at reception were excited to see my pups and were definitely dog people. They were much faster than I anticipated. I don't know what Red Hydrant did to my pit mix, but whatever it was, I want more! Normally a scratch on her back results in a cloud of hair, but I haven't experienced that since she's been groomed and it's been 3 days.

Great experience, from the first phone call to Red Hydrant I felt confident. Important questions were asked, prices were discussed and recommendations were made to me, about the care of my 3 months old Maltese. I absolutely love this groomer! Our standard poodle has been coming here since she was old enough to be groomed. They do a wonderful job every time. They're knowledgeable, accommodating, and cheerful every single time I bring my pup there. They're super great with my dog and I will continue to bring her here and when we get our second pup I'll be bringing that pup here as well. Thanks Red Hydrant for taking care of my baby Midnight!

From the first phone call to make an appointment, to checking in, to meeting the groomer and then seeing the finished product, the whole thing was very positive. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The groomer took time to meet my dog before taking him back and asked lots of questions and let me tell her all about him and his needs. He has seen the same groomer his whole life of 8 years, so this was a bit scary for us both. But we will be back! Already made his next appointment!

We love the Red Hydrant! Our dog loves going to the daycare, and playing with all his fur friends! Everyone is very nice, and the place is so clean and cute. Michael and Kerry are wonderful, and I appreciate that they have taken the time to get to know my dog. As a bonus, they also have a lovely boutique with lots of adorable items.
