Red River Obedience Training Club is a non-profit club. Our membership is as diverse as our training interests, with members active in Obedience, Conformation, Agility, Hunting, Herding, Tracking and Therapy Dogs. The goal of our club is to encourage interest in training of the purebred dog. Club membership is limited to those persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and are interested in canine obedience training.
Red River Obedience Training Club is pleased to offer AKC's S.T.A.R. Puppy, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), and Community Canine programs. A friendly, well-behaved dog that we can take virtually anywhere without risk or bother to others - a dog who behaves well in a crowd, has good manners when guests visit our home, is reliable around children, and who doesn't lunge, bark at, or threaten other dogs or passersby is a Canine Good Citizen.

I took my dog for socialization and basic training. She did learn some skills, but socialization was severely limited because an aggressive German shepherd was allowed to remain in class even after it lunged at several dogs and barked/growled viciously. This continued the entire course. The shepherd was allowed to come and, though sometimes isolated, his behavior continued to interrupt and constrain the class each week.

I have taken several classes here. The trainers are experienced with many breeds and years and years of hands on instruction. Fees are very reasonable.

This dog club is so wonderful and when I move soon it will break my heart. I have been taking my rambocious puppy there as soon as I could. All the people there are volunteers so the money goes to keeping up with the building, dogs, and events. The classes are wonderful and I go every week to keep my dog trained and get her out and about. I repeat the classes over and over and try out the other classes.

There are so many different trainers that you are always learning new things. Also they like to try different stategies so although you might be with the same instructor you keep learning new things.
