My dog was really sick and I'm not from around here, but they got me in quickly (despite my blubbering) and took wonderful care of my little doggo. They made sure to answer ALL of my questions and that I understood the instructions for the medications. It's been 24 hours, and my pup is already getting his appetite back, and he hasn't vomited or had any accidents since we got home. It was worth a bit of a drive to have my dog feeling better so quickly.

They used to see exotic pets. However they have stopped accepting appointments exotics. They may make an appt for your pet only to then cancel it. (Which is what happened to us) If you want to see a vet for a reptile or other exotic you need to wait until 8 pm and come to the ER. Expect at least a 2-3 h wait to be seen. You may have a shorter wait if you go in in the middle of the night.

And you can't check in and come back. You are required to wait the entire night at their premises so make sure you have a sitter available for the whole night if you have kids.

Had to bring my 2 year old Corgi in after he injured his paw and was bleeding profusely. Of course this happens at 11:30pm and after calling several establishments I finally contacted Rocky Gorge. The young lady who answered the phone was genuinely concerned and very helpful. Upon our arrival, the staff tended to us promptly and began treating his injury rather quickly.

Everyone was very helpful, professional and couldn't have been nicer. I was very, very pleased with the care they provided and in the unfortunate event he needs emergency care in the future I won't hesitate to utilize their services again.

For the doctors I would recommend this place 100% but as we all know it is the staff that represent as well and unfortunately because of that I will no longer take my pet here. My fault 100% because I forgot to load my cc that I use for my wellness plan. Well they cancelled me but I was willing to pay the cancellation charge and start a new. As I said no excuses my fault.

I was told by Aisha G. that because they cancelled me I would have pay the cancellation fee, pay wellness plan start up fee again, plus 6 months in advance. I would hope to think that it is not all about the money but I was made to feel like they actually cared more about the money instead of getting my pet back on the plan. I had no problem paying for them to cancel me and the restart fee but 6 months in advance was the clincher.

Thank you, Dr. Sallie Morris! Lola and I have no words to thank you enough for your professionalism and love. I went to another vet, and a young lady recommended I go and see Dr. Morris for Lola's surgery. Best advice ever! I had to drive 40 minutes from my home, and I'll do it again if it's necessary. Also, thanks to all the personnel there. You rock guys!

Dr. Bricker is excellent, very knowledgeable and compassionate. As a aside they limited staff, so emergencies are limited. They will make sure that animals that are in critical condition are treated promptly. I had to wait for several hours since my rabbit was stable. I think it speaks to their compassion. If my pet was in critical condition I would hope my animal would get bumped on the list. Please be patient with them. So excellent for their service and for their caring.

We spent 5k on our cat with them several years ago and they were the BEST ever. Went back last Tues with a homeless person who had a dog with a possible broken leg. They charged nearly 300.00 to say to bring it back when you can afford another 500.+ for xrays (way more than any other vet charges), meanwhile another vet said it was 'dislocated and would have been fine if it was put back in place within 24 hours which this vet did not do or suggest so now needs bone shaved or amputation. WORST EVER!

This hospital, took excellent care of our beloved dog during his last days. The veterinarian was compassionate and professional. I was informed about the state on my dog and my cousin was able to stay with him and watch him transition. I definitely recommend this Animal hospital.

I've been bringing my pet's here since the 1980s. Their professionalism and commitment is top notch. From emergencies I've had in the middle of the night to routine visits Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital has always been there for us. Although I no longer live in Maryland I drive 2-hours (each way) for their services and professional care. To the veterinarian's and staff at Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital Thank You for always BEING there! God Bless You! Alan Gray

We had to take our rabbit here last week for an emergency and I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Bricker. While the wait was long, once they saw our rabbit he took plenty of time to check him over and answer all our questions. The doctor truly cares about his patients and we wish he took appointments during normal business hours because we would definitely switch vets. All the techs were wonderful, even when our angry bunny wasn't too happy to see any of them.
