Sf Puppy Prep

The first weekend we got our puppy we took him to an obedience/puppy play class through a different program. He was so shy he ran into the corner and was shaking & afraid. After that class I found out about SF puppy prep & was able to enroll him into the daycare program. He was still scared the first day, but as more time went by he really blossomed.

The staff did such a great job working with him. You could tell he liked being there because he would rush from the car to class/ always eager to get there. He became more social, less fearful and started to play with other puppies. When we went back to our original obedience class, he was more confident (no hiding in the corner) and he was interacting and playing with the other pups! So grateful to SF Puppy Prep for the great care and training they gave our puppy, Moochi!

SF Puppy Prep might just have saved my sanity and relationship! We're not new to dog ownership but this is my first puppy. I was really starting to get frustrated about her insatiable energy when it came to being alone or playing with my older dog. Working from home, and she was proving to be a major distraction; I could not turn away for 2 seconds in case my puppy started pawing at him!

We are very grateful to SF Puppy Prep for introducing her to new pups and naptimes in a controlled, professional environment. Her manners and recall improved a lot over the month, and she's no longer so overeager with new dogs. They also offer many opportunities to consult with the trainers and pros that run the program. I actually found that I wasn't even able to leverage these fully due to my own availability, nor did I need every single one because she was improving quickly. Shout out and thank you to the warm and professional staff who were able to get us enrolled so promptly.

I have been bringing my chihuahua mix, Annie, to Wag for over a year and she loves it. Annie is extremely shy around people normally but when she gets to Wag she is so excited to see everyone and really opens up. I use Wag for daycare, boarding and the spa and would recommend to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about SF puppy prep! The staff is beyond caring and accommodating--they were so flexible when our pup got sick during and had to miss several weeks of Dayschool. Our dog absolutely loved going and leapt out of the car every morning! It was so valuable to have so much training and socialization during our dog's first few months, especially as city dwellers without a backyard.

Now that our dog is older, he is enrolled in training classes in the evening, which have proved so valuable. Only complaint is he can't stay with Puppy Prep forever! We are so appreciative--puppy prep is such a great, helpful service, full of people who genuinely care.

JUST SIMPLY AWESOME! Puppy Day School. We now have a well balanced, eager to learn puppy. He learned all the basic socialization and commands, and then some. We only wish we could do the puppy years again, so we can take him back. Every puppy needed to go through this program!

SF Puppy Prep's day school was a lifesaver with a new pup! I loved the mix of training and novel object socialization that they introduced, and the novel objects were things that my pup encounters in the city but I wouldn't have thought to introduce. I wish they had a program for older pups, as my girl loved it!

SF Puppy Prep has made a world of difference in my dog's life. I initially signed us up for a puppy 101 training class (with Aishe, who is awesome), and discovered that my little guy was very very shy. When I learned about the Puppy Day School, I signed him up, hoping it would build his confidence. From his first day to his last, he was in great hands with the caring and supportive SF Puppy Prep team.

He got more confident with people and playing with other pups, making a lot of new friends and having a great time. I loved getting quick updates during pick-ups and the more in-depth parent teacher calls. I could see what they were working on and what I could reinforce at home. If I could I would keep extending his time there because he clearly loved it and was so happy there. Heartfelt thanks to the SF Puppy Prep team!

We cannot say enough great things about SF puppy prep. Before SF puppy prep, we were really struggling with our sweet, but highly energetic and disobedient goldendoodle puppy Pico. SF Puppy Prep was recommended to us by our dog trainer who praised them for their supportive, positive reinforcement driven methods and genuine love they have for their pups.

After just one month at SF puppy prep, the difference has been so profound. Pico is now so sweet and obedient, and consistently wins the praise of any dog owner who meets him for his temperament. SF puppy prep deserves all of the credit for this! What is most important is that was clear that Pico LOVED SF puppy prep. Each morning I would drop him off for dayschool, his tail would wag faster and more excitedly than I had ever seen!

And this continued every time we brought him back for socials. It's clear that Pico was treated with love at SF puppy prep, and this set him to learn lessons and training that will serve him well for his lifetime.

I had higher expectations. Gave them our dogs food, at the end of school it was returned full so she was definitely not given that food, but probably some other random stuff, which resulted in multiple cases of diarrhea. The main positive out of the whole experience is the socialization, she is great with other dogs now.

Can you believe it's been a year?! You guys really set us up for a happy life. Pebbles is doing great, goes everywhere with me and loves everyone she meets, dogs and people alike. Thank you so much for taking this exuberant, alpha puppy and giving her the foundation and tools to have a happy life. She loved going to SF Puppy prep!

On our second dog at SF Puppy Prep and they do an amazing job. Highly recommend for all new dog owners.

I found SF Puppy Prep through Yelp. Our experience with them has been great! Amrit (the director) has been the most amazing resource and SO flexible to our situation. Our pup, Mbappe, unfortunately wasn't able to continue to attend in person after becoming ill and they worked with me to make sure that he was still set up for success. They went above and beyond in our abnormal situation - not to mention, I feel like I've learned more from them than any amount of googling that I've done since we got Mbappe. SF Puppy prep is amazing. With a 12 week old Australian shepherd pup (Otis) on my hands, I had a big task ahead of me. SF Puppy prep made everything so much easier. The socialization, training, and just general experience my pup got here left him happy and mentally-satisfied every day. Their sign-up portal and process was super easy and they were ALWAYS so speedy about responding to my questions via email. Seeing my pup so happy every day made me immediately upgrade from the 3 day/week daycare to the 5 day/week daycare.

He just loved it so much, he was always excited to arrive and always happy and confident leaving. When I picked him up they were always good about giving me a quick 5 min update about what he was up to during the day. Additionally, Otis did catch 2 puppy colds there (but it was to be expected since he wasn't fully vaccinated), and their policy really made me feel good about the puppies they let attend their classes. Otis needed to go at least 48 hours symptom-free before he could return.

While it was tough to have him home with a cold, it reassured me that they had great safety measures in place to prevent anything worse than a puppy cold. Plus, my days did rollover so he could go to school even past 18 weeks of age and get the full school semester (lol). Seeing my pup now have fabulous manners when playing (plus just being outgoing and confident with pups) and being more patient in general, is so rewarding and I know SF Puppy prep definitely had a large hand in that. Don't forget that you still need to reinforce all that's learned and trained at school, but they lay some amazing groundwork for a well-balanced, friendly, and happy pup! Thank you SF Puppy Prep! Otis will miss you!

SF Puppy Prep was a superb place to acclimate, socialize and train our energetic and willful pup. The staff was attentive and responsive and clearly brought a lot of engagement and passion to their work. We saw our puppy progress so much in her confidence and interactions with other dogs. The parent-teacher conferences were invaluable and detailed and I'd enthusiastically recommend SF Puppy Prep's services to anyone!

Sent our Corgi puppy to the 4 week day school at Puppy Prep. Had an absolutely wonderful experience. The Zoom chats and progress updates were really convenient. You get the sense that every staff member really, really cares about the dogs. I was really able to see differences during the 4 weeks of training, our pup would come home and actually start paying attention! Not to mention just being better at getting settled and figuring out the world. Am definitely going to keep them in mind moving forward as training continues.

Had a great experience with SF Puppy Prep school. My black lab learned so much. From day one, his puppy bites decreased and his behavior improved. I also really appreciated their flexibility with our schedule as we had to miss days but were able to just roll them over to the end. My pup LOVED going. Great experience!

I had a great experience with my pup at SF Puppy Prep despite COVID limitations of direct interactions of the trainers. I enrolled my pup Charlie in their puppy school with the intention of only getting her socialized with other dogs, but got so much more. She was a shy gal that came out of her shell with the help of the trainers. I then followed up with a zoom course.

Although skeptical that it wasn't in person and already doing my own training, the extra assistance, guidance, and recommendations that seemed slight, made a huge difference and made frustrating days better and put us on the right track faster. Thank you! -Lina

SF Puppy Prep has been the most exciting thing in Oliver's life the past months. He gets so excited when it's time to get in his carrier because he knows he gets to see all his friends. When he waits to get his nose checked before going into play he can hardly contain himself he is so excited. His mom loves how attentive and caring the team are - and feels safe leaving Oliver in their care.

She also appreciates how much Oliver sleeps after his days at school! Oliver is so confident and happy greeting other dogs now that he is old enough to play outside and walk around the neighborhood and he has his pals at SF Puppy Prep to thank for teaching him how. We will miss SF Puppy Prep and the entire team! Can't recommend them enough.

We couldn't be happier with SF Puppy Prep. My puppy is currently attending puppy school, we are taking Puppy 101 over zoom, and we have done the (zoom) at-home consultation. Every single interaction across the board has been great. Everyone at SF Puppy Prep is super generous with their time and it just generally feels very organized. In terms of interactions with our puppy, its also been great!

Our dog loves puppy school and all of the advice we've got from class and in the consultation has been helpful. I'm very happy that we are sending our puppy to school (especially during COVID) to help with socialization and its great to have so many resources through the zoom classes and home consultation to ask questions when we are lost.

SF Puppy Prep is a great option for new pups! My puppy attended day school three days a week before she had finished all of her vaccinations. Socializing a puppy has been challenging during the pandemic but day school was great for this. The trainers have been incredible in setting a strong foundation for training at home. My puppy was also so excited to go to school and see everyone each day.

The parent teacher conferences provide updates on progress and tips for home. Puppies are exposed to different objects at day school and there's always a theme of the day. My puppy left school more confident with unknown objects and other dogs!

Penny graduated from Puppy Prep today! She had the BEST time! We highly recommend SF Puppy prep to all newly puppy parents. They treat your dog like their own. Aaron and Amrit were great! They helped us so much along the way. They always took the time to answer any question we had, and were super flexible when it came to scheduling and dietary restrictions. Thank you so much Puppy Prep. Penny will miss you all so much!

Our puppy loved coming here for the puppy kindergarten classes! Great structure, useful techniques and friendly instructors. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to train their puppy in a positive and fun way!

Martha keeps it real. Affordable, approachable, effective. The training is worth the investment. It's makes all the difference!

Did a sequence of puppy kindergarten here. It was a fine facility and the instructor was very knowledgeable. Ultimately wouldn't recommend, though, given the price tag and service. The classes are pretty rushed and there is minimal one-on-one attention to your dog. The instructor was weirdly condescending at times. When people asked questions or made a mistake, she would scold them and sometimes publicly present their error.

I get that someone's mistake can be illustrative for the class but it came across as "shaming" and left a bad taste in people's mouths. When I asked for a refresher on a lesson, she told me that there wasn't time to re-teach it. Just a bit strange when you're paying for the classes. I learned helpful material but not an incredible/enjoyable experience.

I have taken my puppy to 3-4 puppy socials at SF Puppy Prep. The weekend socials are slammed and we almost got shut out of one by arriving on time. The trainers here are helpful in explaining puppy play, but could definitely suggest that some puppy parents let their puppy play! It's tough to let your pup play if another pup parent feels uncomfortable with their dog playing.

At other socials, trainers themselves break up play and don't encourage parents to break up play unless it gets to be too much. This feels like a very 'soft' approach to raising a puppy, which is good for some breeds, but not all. I did enjoy the clean, large space for puppies to interact when they're not old enough to be on the streets of San Francisco!

Can't say enough good things about the team here. Our pup went through Puppy Kindergarten with Marie, who was upbeat, encouraging, and accommodating to pups with high nerves. We learned all the training techniques to teach basic commands and practice at home. We also attended puppy socials and enrolled our pup in Puppy Day School, which was invaluable for his socialization and ability to play and interact with other dogs appropriately.

Such an amazing place for your young puppies! They learn socialization here, which is so important! The bonus is, they learn a lot of cool stuff while having so much fun! Best place to help with your puppy!
