I've never been to their facility but they have me a free voucher to get my cat spayed at the snip clinic! Definitely contact if you have stray cats

My wife and I cannot express how much we appreciate Shamrock Pet Foundation. The work they do - which is all volunteer work - is about finding a good home for the animals in their care. They made sure our home and property was safe and appropriate for the type of dog we were hoping to adopt. The foster was great and very helpful, and came out to our house to assist with introductions. From start to finish, everyone there has been very friendly and helpful. When it comes time to adopt another animal, Shamrock Pet Foundation will be the first place we go.

I was fortunate to connect with Michelle at Shamrock when my daughter's dog needed to be placed in a new home when she was unable to take him with her because she was moving. The process took some time but I let her know I was fine with that as long as we found a good match. She kept me up to date during the process and he was placed in a home with a very caring family, and coincidentally they live about a mile from my home. He quickly became friends with their dog and I couldn't be happier with the results. Thanks again Michelle!

Shamrock Pet Foundation has been so helpful and good to our family. The team at Shamrock has been a blessing to our family & household. We adopted our newest addition from the Foundation back in January. Not only did we get the sweetest little girl in town but we also gained life long friends with the workers at the Shamrock. Any & everything they promised us in our adoption they've stood by 100%.

Also they've done an excellent job at communicating with us on how she's doing! We adopted from another rescue in Lexington almost 3 yrs ago and I've never heard a word from them. I even tried to contact them just to let them know how JR was doing, because they had previous adoptions with him not work. No one ever returned my call. With Shamrock we gained life long friends & ppl we can count on for any issues that may occur any time of the day or evening.

We love the program and professional people so well that I highly recommend any/everyone to use them if your looking to adopt a new addition to your family! You can't go wrong with using the Shamrock Pet Foundation.

I have adopted a cat from Shamrock and I have volunteered. Every experience I've had with the organization has been positive. These people do an exceptional job of finding homes for small animals in distress. We are lucky to have them in Louisville.

I could not be more supportive of Shamrock. They rock! Friends of mine are volunteers and always have foster cats at their home (my daughter loved to visit them before the pandemic and play with the kittens). We also adopted our Tigerlily through Shamrock. Tiger is FIV positive, which was disclosed beforehand, was neutered and up on all shots. The process is rather painless, but volunteers make sure that the pets go to a good home.

For cats that means indoor ONLY (unless it is a pretty feral cat that would be miserable inside). I strongly recommend adopting pets through Shamrock and/or volunteering for the organization.

We adopted our puppy Moose from Shamrock in June and I could not speak more highly of our experience with them. Moose was able to come over and meet his brother before he officially became a part of our family. The adoption process was longer than our previous experience, but it was obvious that the volunteers were just trying to be as thorough as possible. Moose was brought by 3 loving and genuine Shamrock volunteers who were all invested in making sure Moose ended up with the right family. I would recommend this organization 10x over and will be looking to adopt again through them in the future!

Shamrock is wonderful, in their rescues and adoptions. My husband and I are very fortunate to have been chosen to be Ollies family. Shamrock makes sure they are placing a dog with forever home. Some dogs require special situations (Ollie did) and Shamrock fully understands the dog and the type of family required. I do recommend anyone looking for a fur-baby, get with Shamrock. They will make sure the dog and humans are a life long match!

We have worked with Shamrock for 20 years both as a foster and adoptive pet parents. Shamrock is a wonderful organization. The volunteers work very hard to make sure every placement is just the right fit. Every animal pet that comes through the Shamrock doors is loved and cared for.

Adopted two kittens from them, a year apart. The lady we dealt with was absolutely amazing, gave me her contact information and even emailed me about updates after I'd gotten my first kitten from them (an amazing three legged torti). The same lady fostered my second kitten I got from them. They were in amazing health and you could tell she genuinely loved them and wanted the best for her fosters. I've got two amazing, well tempered cats because of them and if I ever adopted again I know who I'd go to. I only refer them, with good reason!
