Stray Rescue Of St Louis Find out more about our different volunteer opportunities and how submit your online application today to join our unique, committed volunteer family. Her wounds horrified us. Sources tell us she's only ever known the name "bitch." She is covered in fleas, flies, is so dirty, and has been living a nightmare: We rushed her to our clinic immediately and sedated her right away so we could begin cleaning and assessing.

It appears it was an abscess from a large wound. It was just awful. Dr Schulz cut away as much dead muscle and tissue as she could, it is very deep - 3 layers of muscle, all the way.

Great place doing a great job. Always looking for volunteers. Staff is great, faculty is good and for dog lovers and cat lovers a place to see

If you want a dog they have many to save. Very good location. Very good place. Every time I've tried to go in and see the dogs they've always let me in. The gentleman in the women are very friendly there and the dogs are very needy. Please if you can instead of going to a puppy mill save a dog

After I was approved for my application, I was told that foster care parents would contact me via email, that never happened. So I went there in person and found the perfect dog, but she had an infection that they didn't make clear to me and no one ever returned my phone call after two calls. Other than that I love my new four-legged baby.

Me and my wife looked on their website seen a dog that we both wanted to adopt. Filled out the adoption papers for him and received a call from a representative and was told I would receive a call from the trainers to set up a day and time to visit with the dog. Two weeks passed and I didn't receive a call. I called again and was told they would reach out to the trainers to call me.

I finally get a call but not from the trainers. I was told that the trainers didn't feel I would be a good fit for the dog. I asked how could they make that assumption without ever speaking to me. The young lady stumbled over her words and really couldn't answer the question. She told me they recommended a different dog but without talking to me how can you recommend a dog that would work for me. Complete waste of time

A little over a year ago my husband and I walked in to learn more about fostering. We fell in love with Sasha, a lab/pit mix, and brought her home the same day. We were given food, blankets, a cage, and a baby gate. They also gave a list of free classes they offer for foster dogs, including one where they just learn to socialize with other puppies. The first two to three weeks were very difficult, but soon she became part of the family. We ended up adopting her.

Stray rescue is one of the best rescue organizations in this metro Saint Louis area. I have many houses where animals are abandoned and they have been incredible at saving them and re-homing them.

My fiance and I sent in our application on Monday and got approved on that following Thursday. The person we talked to was very nice and called letting us know we were approved. Our application was sent to a foster home for a litter of puppies. Unfortunately, we were never contacted or interviewed and had to find out the puppies were adopted by checking their website to see if their profiles were still there.

We reached out and said we were disappointed, but wanted to try applying for a pup from another litter. We haven't gotten a reply since. Yesterday we decided to go through the APA adoption center and got our puppy the same day.

One of the best rescues in St Louis. They have veterinarians on site. Took 8, 2 and a half week old pups last week. They tested them before taking into shelter to make sure they had no communicable illnesses. And immediately started bottle feeding since Mom could not nurse.

Staff and Volunteers are friendly and dedicated. Pam in the thrift store is a wonderful human being. Peyton from the shelter is super nice and made me feel like I wanted to contribute my time as well. These people are doing great things for the lost animals of STL. Check them out. The store has great bargains and really cool stuff.

I foster for Stray Rescue and love what they do. They are a no kill shelter and do everything they possibly can to save every animal rescued. Everyone has big hearts and genuinely want to help. Great to foster for, great to adopt from. Here are some of the puppies I have fostered that went to great families that adopted through stray rescue
