What sets us apart from other veterinary hospitals is our love for animals, because each one of our team members genuinely loves providing veterinary care, but also sharing our lives with our beloved four-legged friends. It is not at all unusual to find one of our technicians sitting in a cage cradling a sick dog, carrying on a conversation with a homesick kitty, or carrying around a surgical patient in order to monitor them more closely. Our team members are always going above and beyond the expected to provide truly exceptional care to our patients and clients.
The veterinarians at Suburban Animal Hospital are made up of some of the most dedicated veterinarians in Arlington, Falls Church, Rosslyn and Seven Corners. We are proud to staff our veterinary hospital with people who truly love animals and make their care a priority, not just in their professional lives, but in their personal lives as well!
Annual dental exams and cleanings are recommended to protect your pet from many health problems and help them maintain a healthy and clean mouth. Proper diet and nutrition can help your pet fight against disease, maintain a proper weight, and promote the overall well-being of your pet. Annual wellness exams evaluate your pets overall health, detect problems before they become serious, and keep them on track to live a long, healthy life. We're equipped to perform routine radiography services to identify many types of illness or injury when pets are sick or suffer a trauma.
For your convenience please fill out the new client paper work and bring it with you to your first appointment. This helps us to be able to get you set up in the computer and ready for your appointment on time.

Suburban Animal Hospital took us in same-day appointment and did not charge us an emergency visit. The staff, vet tech as well as Dr. Shah was very personable caring and professional. They helped my pup feel much better after the visit and would def recommend their hospital. The only negative experience was my bill at the end, fees are pretty high. Had bloodowork, exam and anti nausea meds almost $500! But what could I do, my pup was sick and needed help. He was back to his old self again the next day

On the morning of May 10th, Tuesday, I had an emergency situation regarding my dog. I needed a question answered so I simply pulled in to the clinic and walked in. I didn't expect services. I just had a simple question. The girl behind the desk was the most rude employee I've ever dealt with in my entire life. She rolled her eyes as if I was stupid and would not even help me. I have spent so much money at this clinic and I do expect a little respect. We are just moving back to this area and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

After the latest visit to Suburban, I want to reaffirm my previous review. Our 17+ year old corgi/jack russell has a number of serious medical issues that do not impact her quality of life. Suburban vets are helping us ensure she receives the appropriate care. They are amazing. We have been going to Suburban Animal Hospital for 20+ years and four dogs. They are the best! The staff is honest and compassionate. They offer many treatment options and always look out for the best interest of your pet.

Great visit for our sick cat. Dr. McGrath took the time to explain possible causes and labs needed to make a diagnosis. Very thorough. Staff very nice. Good experience! I would recommend this vet practice.

We love Suburban animal hospital! We've been taking our pets here since 2005 and even drive all the way from Ashburn just to keep their service. Staff is always so friendly and welcoming, the doctors take the time to really talk to you and they are still so reasonably priced.

Be ready for a sticker shock. I've had two of our cats spayed somewhere else for much less than what they charged me for one spaying. Excellent staff but way overpriced facility.

As first time pet owners, I wasn't sure what to expect on the first appt for our puppy. I was blown away by the diligence and the amount of time Dr. Halbert spent with me. No pediatrician, and we've lived in 3 different countries and taken our kids to peds while on vacation in several other countries/places, no pediatrician has ever spent so much time patiently answering my questions and explaining things to me.

I had lots of questions and wanted to clarify information I had found on the internet (always dangerous to rely just on the internet) and she was amazing. Also gave me lots of tips on how to be a good pet parent. The staff was great at handling the puppy. We chose them solely based on the fact that they are literally a 5 min walk from our house, but I'm glad they turned out to be such a good clinic as well.

We've been patients of Suburban Animal Hospital for years and with four dogs. We've been through it all from back surgery, putting one dog to sleep, having teeth pulled, to more routine annual visits and simple ear mites. Our dogs are happy and healthy thanks to the great care at Suburban Animal Hospital. They even call to check in on the pet after surgery. Oh, and their hours and boarding are also awesome. Happy to write this review and recommend to everyone.

Good, but needs improvement. Very very eager to recommend expensive test and procedures "to be on the safe side." But most likely not needed. Plus there is no follow up for treatment to your pet. For example, they performed ear procedure on my dog. Great, but how do I know that my dog no longer has that ear problem. There needs to be a follow on quick exam at no cost to insure what they did worked. What's up with that? Customers need a better system period!
