Sunrise Animal Hospital

***Update: This review was written when Dr. Simpson worked at Sunrise. He is now at Craven Creek in Piedmont. I had to locate him myself as I was told by Sunrise that they did not know where he had gone.**** I am so thankful to have found Dr. Simpson, a vet that is genuinely concerned about my pets well being. I have been charged ridiculous fees and told ridiculous nonsense to go with those fees in the past and am so grateful to be given the opportunity to simply focus on my animal and his care and recovery versus stressing every minute on how Im going to pay for it. I am so thankful for finding Dr. Simpson and want to make sure others know that there are true caring vets out there and he is one of them.

My fur babies have always had the best care here. Dr. Steve is such a gentle, caring person.

I put a 10+ year old pitbull down at this office and they treated me like it was my fault he was sick and dying. The doctor said I should have brought him in sooner to treat him and if I couldn't afford it, I shouldn't have other dogs. No remorse, no compassion. I'm grieving the loss of a dog I've had since I got married and trying to cope with the guilt I feel for not being able to spend a fortune to keep him alive. There was no closure. I honestly don't know how to stop crying

Very good experience the Dr recognized my cat after only seeing him once. Staff took good care of him and my other pets. A bit expensive but still happy with the practice

Critical: Professionalism, Reliability If the dog you found had 2 different stomach parasites and HEARTWORMS you'd hope the "dropoff" and the results would be worth the $500 price tag, right? Nope. "the medication we put him on MAY kill out his symptoms" AFTER THE FACT I BROUGHT HIM THERE TO BE CURED!? Trash.

They took excellent care of our sweet dog and when it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge they were so compassionate. Would recommend to anyone!

It has been a few years since I have been here. However, I recently referred some one with a very sick doggie. The mommy could not sing their praises enough. Now that I have moved back to the upstate I will get be taking Bruno there. Sharon K Hyatt

Called to make an appointment for my dog and the lady that answered was very inconsiderate and short with me. Very quick to say "nope". Didn't ask what was wrong and before I could finish sentences/questions."nope". Another vet actually recommended this place because they were booked for the day-That's so unfortunate. I'm glad it didn't work out because I strongly feel like that is a reflection of how they treat there animals. # bulletdodged

We were bringing our newly adopted dog in for the first time. It was very frightened but the staff was patient and kind to our dog. We didn't feel rushed and we're able to ask questions. I was stressed not being able to go in with our dog due to covid precautions but it all worked out fine.

Relocated here 3 years ago. This place is excellent. One stop shop for all your veterinary needs.

I've reviewed before but I wanted to post an updated one now that I've been in the area for a year. Dr Simpson and Dr Colquhoun have been so kind and helpful to my cats Blizzard and Crono. Between allergies and lost claws and checkups, they have gotten my pets feeling great again in no time. They also take the time to fully explain issues to you, I've never once left the office feeling confused, I've always felt very clear and informed on how to handle any given situation. My household will continue to recommend this office to anyone in need of a good vet. Thank you!

Sunrise Animal Hospital is by far one of the best veteran hospitals I've ever taken my dogs to. My dog Luna got very sick and they tried everything to help her. Even when I couldn't afford an office visit they still talked to me about her and gave her some different medications to try. My old vet would have never done that. They would have made me bring her in for an office visit.

In the end I had to put my Luna girl to sleep cause everything we tried to do was not helping her and she was in lots of pain and was suffering. I her cremated and I wanted to get her ashes back for my youngest son. However I was not expecting to get back what I did. I got a very nice wooden box with her ashes and a nice little paw print ornament that was made from her paw print.

I was very touched by the extra care and compassion that they had for me and my family in this tough time. I also received a very nice and very touching sympathy card signed personally by everyone at the vet's office I'd like to say thank you very much to everyone at Sunrise Animal Hospital.
