We made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our Tangie and everyone here made the process so much easier. Home appointment was nice and very peaceful, all things considered. I don't ever want to have to go through this again, but when I do, I hope the vet near me (wherever I move) is even half as good as here.

Great vet. Was recommended to me because someone working there has the same breed. They were able to get a specialist to come to their office for me when the specialty center would have taken months to get into. Everyone is nice at the front desk.

They are so kind with the animals and people. I am glad I found them. They treated my two cats Missy and Max. Max had a sprained foot. The visit, his updated shots, and a 3 day supply of medicine was very reasonable I was so surprised. I am from California and it was a quarter of what I would have paid. They are absolutely wonderful.

We have been through a few vet clinics since we moved to Las Vegas nearly 20 years ago. I'm not a fan of the clinic model where we see a differnt vet every time we come in and there seems to be a constant rotation of staff. After a disasterous, unprofessional and expensive experience with another vet, we were back to searching for a vet that would care for our very important four-legged family members.

The need became more urgent in January when we rescued a young dog off of Craig's List with no medical history. After searching on-line and reading reviews, we landed on Sunset Eastern Animal Hospital and I am so glad. They were able to see our new pup within a week. Since then, our two pitbulls have been welcomed and cared for at a level that we haven't experienced anywhere else in this part of town. Dr. Kronbetter was so proactive in identifying and resolving an issue with our older dog that we weren't even aware existed.

Within two weeks we had scheduled and completed an ultrasound and surgery that has brought new energy and life to our boy. Perhaps they are a little pricier than other vets but the individual care and small staff make us feel like we are more than just a random client. We feel valued, and more importantly, we feel like the health and wellness of our beloved dogs is a priority.

Have been coming here since we got our French Bulldog puppy back in September of 2020. Vets have really helped with allergy issues for my pup and have given great recommendations for shampoos, conditioners and other resources for them.

Kendra Grantz was so sweet & patient with my rowdy pups that couldn't stay still. And even let me know that my two pups didn't need there teeth cleaned which saved me over $400 & saved them from going under anesthesia. Really great costumer service & saved me money on my vaccines too. Highly recommend!

This place gets great reviews. I thought they could help me with my mom's 2 zombie Chihuahuas. I had made an appt to have them euthanized due to their advanced ages and healrh problems. The reception took 1 look and said try a rescue. None of the rescues called me back or even texted. She then hands me a magazine and says she will get the vet. We waited another few minutes.

Then I asked for the dog pund number. She had no issue helping provide that number. If you're in need of help that doesn't cost money. I do not recommend here. I never spoke with the vet just reception. I had no choice but to surrender my moms animals to the pound.

I had to send my best friend (Romeo my dog) of 14 years home to Jesus and they were so caring and kind, from the staff to the doctor. Gave me time to say see you later to my friend before and after the dose. The only bad thing was the price my wife was told and i paid were very different. Other than that i would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you to everyone there.

We have a pot belly pig, almost a year old. We scheduled a spay with the hospital. I tell you what, these folks are exceptional. Great care all the way around. You'd be silly not to take your pet to these knowledgeable and kind animal specialists. We drove from Arizona! Super kind and respectful A+++

Pricy compared to other animal hospitals. I called for pricing for a litter and the prices the receptionist gave me were beyond double from another local animal hospital. $54 for each fecal test? But the vet we normally go to charges $29? That's a $25 price difference.

Very professional and friendly staff, was able to actually get an appointment within 4 days of calling. They took time to listen to our concerns regarding our dog. Went out of there way to research the dog food our dog eats. We had to schedule for a ultrasound and usually it's a long wait but they were able to get us an appointment in record time. They care deeply about the animals and I am so glad I called them. I highly recommend Sunset Eastern Animal Hospital.

This place has been my vet, off and on, since I first got a pet after moving here in 2003. I say off and on because I don't actually live anywhere near it. I started using this vet because I worked nearby. I don't anymore, and haven't for quite awhile. Periodically I have tried other vets. I always come back to this one. They are compassionate, and, mostly, mindful of people's financial limitations.

So now I travel to take my pets here, and I don't mind. They only get 4 stars because there is this one front desk person who just rubs me the wrong way every time I talk to them.

Had to put my 17 year old French bulldog dog down he just was to sick. DR Kronbetter and Andrea arrived on time and we're very pleasant. They greeted Sammy and talked to him and pettted him. I chose to do it at home to make it as comfortable as possible for him. I highly recommend doing it at home as my dog was so nervous going to the vet. I thank them for there professionalism and compassion. My Sammy drifted of to a peaceful sleep.

We have been bringing our pups to see Dr. K for years now. Everyone in the office has always been very kind and helpful! Unfortunately last December we had to put on of our babies down and Dr. K and the whole staff could not have made a horrible situation any easier for us. Our new pup we have absolutely loves everyone in there (even though he is a little hard headed when it comes to letting them trim his nails or look in his mouth ). I will always bring my animals here and recommend everyone to come here as well!

Been using this vet for many years. I feel the front staff and the doctors are all very caring. They are also considerate and kind because when I'm at the vet it's always serious. I feel listened to, not rushed and that I get top notch care.

They killed my cat he was in for an infection and they over medicated him. Dr Gantz was a nasty person who didn't want to be bothered. My cat died an hour a go. All they care about is money. We have spent 1200 in the last year here. Dr Gantz your worthless and a liar. They don't care They re all about money I am changing Drs. Gantz is a fraud.

My other 2 cats will never go there again. I chose another clinic. Gantz was offended we we talked to her after my cat died. She can't handle the truth. She is a hack. They re money grubbing liars. They posted all the 5 reviews. Manipulation. Dr Gantz retire your a hack and a loser. Now GFY

I highly recommend Sunset Eastern AH! Their staff takes such good care of our dogs. My dog Biggie has had quite a few bumps in the road this past year and we started coming to this animal hospital. Becky and the rest of the team are always so happy to take him in and they are so good to him. I appreciate that they are more affordable and take care credit, especially in the current times. Its hard to save let alone save for possible animal emergencies right now. Thank you guys for taking such good care of our pups!

By far the best in town. I've been to multiple vets over the years and the level of respect and understanding I've gotten from here is more than I expected. They're right next to sunset park so if you're coming with a animal who likes a good walk after the vet visit then here ya go!

UPDATE: Sunset Eastern Animal Hospital continues to be Bentley's Vet. The "Vet" mentioned in my review is no longer with the practice. His main now is Dr Tessa Kronbetter. Believe me, I have visited plenty of other Vets trying to find a place closer to where I live, but nobody has been able to gain my trust. ___________________________ Im going to post this because I find it absolutely, yet disturbingly hilarious.

On Wednesday. April 16, I took Bentley to the Vet (Eastern Sunset Animal Hospital) to be precise because he has been coughing on Tuesday and he sounded like a 2 yrs old with bronchitis. On Tuesday afternoon after listening to him coughing desperately I reviewed all the mediation I had for him and I found and old bottle of Torbutrol - yet not expired with only 3 pills in it - that specifically mentions on the label it is for cough and that I knew it was given to him last time he caught Kennel Cough.

So after 2 doses, one in the afternoon and another in the evening, he was sounding better Wednesday morning, but I still wanted the assessment of a Vet on his condition. So when I arrived to the Vet offices and mentioned to the Assistant what I have done I get the "judgmental face". So I was thinking, "Ok, bad of me to diagnose him, "whatever", Vet its a doctor", but still I was bothered about how I was treated by the Vet Assistant.

She took the bottle out of my hands and proceeded to check the medication. I was quite baffled by this because they were the ones that prescribed the medication almost 2 yrs before when he got Kennel Cough at the local dog park (Sunset Park, Las Vegas, NV). So the Vet comes in, Dr Reed (not my usual one - Dr. Kathy Sarnelli). And she proceeds to be super standoffish!

I am in WTF land! She proceeds to tell me that Bentley's lungs are clear so that he must be having just the common Kennel Cough and that if to be treated with Torbutrol it will be really expensive as the price of Torbutrol is 3 time more than a year ago. I did try to get a price for this medication and she was SUPER ambivalent about it. That I should go home at treat him with Robitussin DM and give me the common recommendations usually attached with a case of Kennel Cough. Needless to say I am all for Bentley and his well being no matter what!

Regardless of her "professional diagnosis" I left there with this nagging feeling that I had been dumbed down from, my 147 IQ and patronized to oblivion in regards what Bentley needed in terms of medication. As this feeling persisted, no matter that I had already given Bentley his Robitussin DM and he was responding well to it, I went mega on to research and found out that the reason why Torbutrol in any of his forms it is so expensive now a days its because people are using it to get high! "Are you FUCKING kidding me!" came to mind not only because people are freaking crazy, but I realized that I have been treated by this Vet and her assistant like the common addict (like 90% of Las Vegas People) trying to get high. I;m from PR born and raised from a good family and I don't do drugs!

I am not part of Las Vegas fucking culture, thank God, nor I will ever be! So this is a mega insult for me! Thank GOD that by now Bentley has responded well to be Robitussin and that he is not coughing anymore, because if ANYTHING would had happened to MY Bentley, I think I would be having a mega legal battle with this people. Needless to say it is time for Bentley to get a new Vet!

My cat is frightened of everyone. He hides when the doorbell rings. Dr. Tessa and her assistant did a great job handling him. Took the time to check him and gave me some tips to take care of little problems he has. Highly recommend them. They showed care and compassion. Thank you for your help!

We have been going there for so many years- my dad always took his dogs and the cat there and loved everyone. Those dogs and the cat have since passed but Dr. Grantz was there every step of the way. We bring our dog Mo in there now and the staff is always awesome- we are thankful for them.

THANK YOU Dr. Kronbetter & the staff of Sunset Eastern Animal Hospital! There are not enough lifetimes to thank you! Gizmo will be FURever grateful too. Amazing doctors! Amazing staff! Amazing facility. To make an awfully long story short, my King Charles Cavalier Spaniel somehow ingested an unknown foreign object. His health declined quickly in a matter of 24 hours.

After a 1am animal emergency room visit, my husband remembered this office from the impeccable care they provided his dog back in the 90s! Gizmo was taken in immediately, he was given xrays and put on an IV because he was getting dehydrated from vomiting. We left him there for the day for observation and to see if the foreign body would pass. Sadly, it didn't and was causing tissue necrosis by his pancreas.

As a survivor of septic shock myself, I knew he needed surgery immediately. Dr. Kronbetter kept us updated the entire day. Surgery went amazing! She saved our baby! This brings me to today, we had a surgery follow up appointment to remove his staples (he had approximately 17) he didn't even cry! Dr. Kronbetter is an Angel. Her patience and gentle care will keep us loyal to this office FURever! Thank you again to this amazing staff! Gizmo loves you!

I am beyond thrilled to have found Dr Grantz & staff at Sunset Eastern! I have a very nervous, small dog who was in need of a teeth cleaning. At the initial visit, I walked into a very clean office and was greeted by the friendly staff. Dr Grantz is absolutely amazing. She was so patient and caring and you can tell she truly loves what she's doing.

She explained everything and made me feel very comfortable. The teeth cleaning went great. Dr Grantz called immediately after the cleaning to let me know that Bo was doing fine. I have never had a veterinarian who is as kind and professional and genuinely cares about my pet's health. I highly recommend Dr Grantz and I will be making Sunset Eastern our permanent vet!

I brought my dog Hobi here to be put down March 17, 2018. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. She had been my constant hiking companion for over 14 years. It was all so sudden. I didn't book an appointment. I just showed up when they opened. The staff was polite and understanding and tried to make it as painless as possible for me and I'm sure for Hobi to. I'm finding it hard to write about it even now. I just wanted to thank the staff for their understanding and their professionalism. I'm sure they deal with situations like this all the time, but they did a great job.

So I went into vet letting them know I was 95 percent sure it was a bone she had digested they told me it be 200 to xray. and surgery would cost estimated 1600.00 ok so 1800 estimated. When I leave the vet the total was at 460, medicine and only x-rays, fluid had been done and they suggested surgery for 3000.00 to 4000.00 more dollars. I feel they play off people's emotions and love for the pet and how big your wallet is.

They basicallt sent me home with a dead dog. she died 2 hours later. unless you have 3000 to 4000 cash, no payments accepted unless you qualify for care credit. They received the 2 stars for at least they showed they pretended to care. the estimate was way off. Shame on them. Maybe others had a better experience but I did not.

I'm giving this place a 1 STAR sorry to write a poor review! This is because of the comments and service by A particular veterinarian there! I brought my sweet dog in about 2 weeks ago as I suspected a Urinary tract infection. The vet tech seemed nice enough. AFTER A LONG! WAIT THE VET finally came in with her beaming smile which I complimented her on!

She said he needs a blood panel! So they did a blood panel on him. She said we will have the results tomorrow. I called once or twice.nothing! so I decided to drive over. About 430 Said hurry we close 5.30 I think, I was 5 mins away I told her! I went Firstly to have a hard copy of the diagnosis. When I arrived there, She tells me He has Diabetes and KELOIDACIDOCIS +1 and urine infection as I suspected. not a good outcome.! Gave me clavamox.said he will probably need more next week?

I knew he had diabetes! He was Diagnosed last year! I had told her he's diabetic already the day before! Blood in urine is a sign of Urinary infection. I may not be a veterinarian.but I'm not an idiot! Why I brought him in the first place! She always had this beaming fake smile. She said he needs diabetic food recommended science WD. After looking at the ingredients.which seemed crap!

I chose royal canin.a little better. and a few cans of Science diet.as lady a nice woman working there. Said it's fine to mix them. That she did it with her dog! The vet seemed angry.about mixing 2 I still have 3 cans and like half or more left of kibble he's not a fan! she came out and said I was busy Euthanizing a dog! I didn't need to know that either! girl at the desk says it's already paid for!

The vet wanted to also keep him in under observation for 2-3 days at a cost of $2000! I don't have that! I think he's better off with me anyway instead of a cage! I've been taking care of him since 6/16 when the ASPCA wanted to euthanize him. I also asked her about a homemade diet.? She said she'd have to ask a friend or someone at the cost of $150!

It also says BLATANTLY outside FREE VACCINES He was given NONE! The worst thing she said to me was : I WOULDN'T BUY A LARGE BAG OF DOG FOOD BECAUSE HE PROBABLY WON'T LIVE TO FINISH IT! WTF! THEN SHE WAS ON ABOUT GOING HOME DIDN'T WANT TO BE Late for her Babysitter! I was DISGUSTED! NO FOLLOW UP CALL WAS MADE TO SEE HOW MY DOG WAS EITHER.?

I am Very ANGRY and UPSET with SERVICE and Attitude of This Veterinarian! They owe me VACCINES and a huge APOLOGY this vet. Had no Sympathy at all! Why is she even in this Position! They're supposed to care about Sick Animals! I was probably unlucky with the vet I got As this place was recommended to me! By the way the prescription food goes right back out within 20 mins.so what good does it do? probably nothing! I WANT a REFUND on the food. and THE vaccines done as listed OUTSIDE and inside! Perhaps then I will change my review!
