Tails A Waggin When we are children, those who influence us have a major role in our lives. It holds true for our canine children too, although I moved in 2005 (end of) You were a major influence in Levi's an My lives. If you have, training is an excellent way to help your new pet become a happy and well-adjusted member of the family! Before long, that cute little puppy will be an adolescent, then and adult.

What you do with your puppy when it's young will determine how he or she acts as an adult. Our methods are gentle enough for puppies; let us help you shape your dog's behavior, so they will be the dog of your dreams!

Huge congrats to Sheila and Phil Tresenrider and their border collie, Ziggy. They showed in their first AKC Trial in January of 2018, and qualified in 3 out of 4 runs, earning legs in Novice Standard, Jumpers and FAST. Both handlers are amazing for Novice handlers. And Ziggy does a super job of working with both Sheila and Phil.
Sit, down, come, stay, walk on a leash without pulling, leave it and a lot of other handy house-manners. We will expose the dogs to some agility equipment for fun, and to see if it is something you might want to do in the future. We use Rally exercises as a part of our teaching. We will also be performing the Canine Good Citizen Test on the last night of class.
Puppyhood is a lot of fun and a lot of work! It is important to remember that what you do now is shaping who your adult dog will be. Whether you plan it that way or not, every interaction you have with your puppy is training. The board teaches walking on elevated surface; the ball is for balance and tactile stimulation; the ladders are for work on proprioception-the dog's body's spacial awareness.
AKC Rally is taught as a stand-alone class on occasion. Many of the Novice Rally Exercises are taught as a part of Level I obedience. This provides opportunities for handlers to teach dogs to walk with them, and come when called.without doing endless circles.which is really boring to dogs and handlers!

I took my lab puppy to Lissa for a beginner class. The class was ok but we rarely went over the same thing twice. I thought we would go over the things learned in previous lessons to ensure we had all learned what we were taught the week before-we just moved on to another command and another, etc. The reason I'm writing is review is I paid for a second set of classes way before the classes were due to start.

Unfortunately my life took a turn for the worse and I was forced to place my lab puppy in another home. I lost everything I owned. I called Lissa and asked for my money back. I left her a voicemail explaining what had happened to me and my family. I never heard back from her. I called three more times and I sent two emails. Not once did I hear back from her and obviously I didn't get my money back.

She kept $125.00 of mine and did nothing to earn it. This is the type of woman you will be dealing with if you take your dog to her for lessons. There are much better people to take lessons from, people who are compassionate and honest.
