Please know adoption fees offset the cost of things such as vetting, transport, & supply purchases. We are a non-profit, volunteer animal shelter that solely relies on adoption fees and donations to continue operating. Please answer all questions honestly. All vet references will be checked in order for us to ensure that you will take proper care of your potential new pet adoption. Please note that all animal breeds are our best guess. Our rescue does not have the resources to DNA test every animal that comes through our doors.
Thank you for your interest in providing foster care for homeless pets from Tri-Boro Animal Welfare. The Foster Care Program places pets in temporary homes with foster care volunteers. Foster homes are vital to our organization and directly affect the lives we save. Please fill out the Foster Program Application honestly and completely.
FOSTERING - taking a dog or cat into your home for a period of time until they are adopted. All supplies will be provided to you by the shelter. Monetary donations are always welcome and greatly appreciated no matter how large or small - your support will make a difference. If you are interested in volunteering with our shelter, please submit your information on the provided form. One of our managers will be in touch with you soon.

A member of our family had to rehome their dog not because we didn't want him but personal reasons forced us to. We didn't want him going to any home or a shelter and was able to place him with Tri-boro at a local nursing home. We were very excited for him to have what seemed like a great home but told the rescue our one condition is to give him back if the nursing home doesn't work out.

We now - 2yrs later - found out he was given away shortly after arriving to his "new home" and the rescue never contacted us! It's so difficult giving up animals - we did it because we were forced under our circumstances at the time - and worked hard to make sure we knew where he was going. We feel betrayed! To make matters worse I contacted the rescue and they're excuse is that was old management sorry! Nothing else - they've stopped responding! How can you be so unsympathetic?

I got my kitties here! First Allie, then Gizmo. They are small but don't be fooled. They have a lot of cats and dogs in foster care. They take good care of their animals and the process of getting a cat or dog isn't so bad. Definitely go to them if you really want to rescue a furry friend.

We got our cat first and about a year and a half later got our dog. I will forever adopt for them. Their staff and volunteers are absolutely amazing.
