My 18 month old chocolate lab seemed untrainable. He was overly excited on walks and reacted to every dog we came across. After just three lessons with Angelo my dog walks by my side and doesn't pull. He listens and heels when other dogs are nearby. I used to be afraid to walk him because of the chance of running into another dog, but now I can even walk him through the paths of our local park without worry. Angelo has taught him other really helpful skills such as down when in an outdoor setting and to stay in place at home for extended periods of time. He is always quick to respond to questions I send through email and gives advice. I couldn't be happier with the results.

I was pretty unsure about sending my 6 month old Doberman to a 3 week board and train because I wasn't sure how he would react or if it would change his personality after, but it was completely the opposite. Angelo is an awesome trainer and really helped my dog keep his fun and high energy personality but learn when to listen and when to calm down when needed.

After the board and train I'm able to do more with my dog and take him more places because he's so much better trained. The facility Angelo trains out of is clean and is perfectly set up for nonstop training. Trust me, if you're looking for a trainer, go see Angelo and you won't be disappointed!

Angelo was amazing with my 68lbs Pitt Super. Did a whole week of boarding and my pup looks great and we'll cared for. He's very knowledgeable, beyond patient and really loves dogs. The facility is very clean. I travel a lot and definitely will board Super again with no hesitation.

When we adopted our 5 month old Husky Suki, we were already his 3rd home and he had clearly not received the training or attention he needed. Bottom line was, we were in over our head and didn't know what more to do since positive reinforcement training wasn't doing it. Since working with Angelo, Suki is a completely different dog. He is calm and balanced, is more responsive, less anxious and stubborn and overall just seems like a more happy pup. The tools we learned with Angelo and the knowledge he provided were invaluable and will carry through for the rest of his life!

Angelo was great with my 4-month old Goldendoodle puppy. My puppy was stubborn and overexcited when he first met Angelo. By the fourth training session, my puppy was calm and responsive. I honestly don't think I could have handled him without Angelo's help. I totally recommend this training program. Just make sure you stay consistent!

We sent our dog Monsi to Angelo- originally because of socialization problems, yet she surprised us and came out with so many higher level qualities we didn't anticipate or know was possible. At first, we second guessed our choice to leave Monsi for 6-weeks because we missed her. Every time we checked in with Angelo, he updated us, but we missed our fur baby so much. Now, afterwards, I can't stop recommending this program to everyone I know.

It's a worthwhile investment IF you plan to KEEP UP with it. All of Angelo's work can easily be undone with dog owners that do not upkeep the foundation he creates. Currently our dog listens to each command after one time saying it, she is walking off leash behind us, does not lurk around the table while we eat or cook, stays in place for 2-hours and counting, and more. Overall, she has many service dog qualities.

I need to give credit where it is due because our dog was unsure of herself, very anxious, annoying at times because she didn't know what to do during quiet hours at home and needed way too much physical exercise (4+ hours daily). He taught us, and our dog Monsi, that exercise and socialization looks different than we thought. Monsi is the dog we dreamed of and didn't know how to achieve.

He tapped into her potential. She does not impede our life in anyway. She adds on to the quality and is stress free now that we know how to maintain and handle her. Not only that, but my parents sent their dog at the same time as our dog. So now we have two dogs that listen to the same command. We can bring our dogs on vacation and have complete calm and fun with them present.

This was the greatest gift to a life of joy with a well trained fur family member! Thank you Angelo and Art of K9. I know picking a program at such a cost is nerve recking since there is not enough information or proof online but promise me, this is the place. We put a lot of trust into prior reviews and tiktok/Instagram videos. We got lucky finding this place. It's a hidden gem of Westchester. If anyone needs more details to convince you this program is worth it, contact me. I'll convince you- haha!

My chihuahua terrier mix was turned into a much better behaved dog. Angelo did an excellent job with my Manolo and I still like to drop him off for the day and refresher if needed. I highly recommend Angelo & Katie for any behavior issues.

I have a 1 1/2-year-old German Shepherd his name is Diego. I took my dog to The Art of K9 when he was 1 year and 2 months old. I signed him up to the board training program because I started to notice signs of aggression later on Angelo, the Owner/ lead Dog Trainer of The Art of K9, told me that it's not aggression that he has but it's anxiety. During those four weeks of training, Angelo trained my dog extremely well.

I am extremely happy with the work he did with Diego; he is a completely different dog he doesn't pull the leash nor barks at random strangers he now listens to my commands which is amazing. If you are looking for a good dog trainer I would definitely recommend the art of K9, Angelo and his team to work with you and your furry friend.

Angelo did an amazing job working with my German Shepherd puppy while providing him a solid foundation. Initially, my dog was very reactive and anxious, but now he's significantly calmer and more obedient. He was impossible to walk before his 2-week board and train, and now I can walk him with ease. Angelo was friendly, knowledgeable, and always there to help with our pup, even after the board and train. I'm very happy with the help Angelo provided and also how much more attentive my dog is. I highly recommend taking your dog here!

When we first realized our mini Aussie Layla was reactive we felt hopeless. At only six months of age, we could barely get her into the hallway and out of our apartment building without her reacting to everything in her path - even the "ding" of the elevator set her off. Both myself and my girlfriend grew up with multiple dogs but never encountered an issue with reactivity until now.

We first tried private training lessons locally but it was clear that this wasn't something that was going to be solved overnight nor a few weekly one hour training sessions were going to make a big difference. After coming to terms that we might need to take the next step, we spent time researching board and train programs from CT to RI and everything in between.

This is how we found Angelo and The Art of K9 Dog Training and ultimately decided he was going to be the best for Layla and help us during this difficult time. Angelo kept us updated each step of the way while Layla was in his care and while it was hard not seeing our little girl for a month, believe me when I say, it was well worth it. We can now walk her in and out of our apartment building without fear of her going berserk and can actually walk her by a dog successfully with the tools and techniques he's taught us.

And when she does slip up, it's either because we missed the timing or we got too close too fast. Reactivity isn't something that can be fixed with a snap of your fingers and in some cases never fully goes away (due to genetics, etc.) but Angelo's experience with all cases across the spectrum will help guide you in the right direction and give you the tools to start rehabilitating your dog.

The progress he's made with Layla has proven this and we're looking forward to him continuing to work with her to become the best that she can be! Thanks Angelo! -Nick and Alyssa
