This used to be such a great place. The staff used to be friendly and take a sincere interest in my dog and her wellbeing. She always enjoyed coming here. Sadly, they have really gone down hill recently. They are no longer reliable and I have reached the point where I simply don't trust them to care for my pet. Now in search of a new daycare/groomer.

The vast majority of our experiences with Whispering Pines have been great. As a loyal customer, we have spent a few thousand dollars here over the last couple of years and have not had any issues as our 2 dogs get excited to stay here. I took off a star today because of how rude Alyssa was when we tried to drop off our dogs for daycare. I will say, we did not have a reservation but had not for majority of our previous stays.

We should have made one in advance and it is not the business's fault that the kennels were booked up and it was very hot outside - I totally get that. It was the demeanor I was given as I tried to ask if boarding, as opposed to daycare, was an option and then if they had any suggestions of other possible means of daycare since they are full. Alyssa was extremely abrupt, rude, and would sharply answer my question before I was even done asking it.

She treated my family member who was the one that tried to drop them off in the first place the same way, so I don't feel as if I'm being overly sensitive. The other staff I have encountered have been very pleasant but Alyssa needs some training on how to talk to customers. *Updating review to 5 stars. Whispering Pines reached out and were very sincere and apologetic for the instance above. I appreciate the way in which this situation was handled. We will be back in the future.

I've been boarding my dog here for years, found them when I lived in Longmont. I now live in Fort Collins and make the drive there still anytime I take a trip because it's the only place I'm comfortable leaving my boy. He's an anxious rescue pup, but he's never nervous to leave me to go back, he just happily trots away with them. Thank you whispering pines staff for giving my boy and all the pups there so much love & care!

Whispering Pines is the best! Staff is friendly helpful and very transparent. They clearly love what they do. My corgi tries to jump out the window and run in as we are driving up the driveway because he loves it there so much! I cannot say enough good things!

This was our first experience boarding our dogs (usually we have someone come to the house) and the staff at whispering pines made us feel confident the dogs were in good hands. They asked good questions at check-in, and were willing to work with our dog-reactive, and sometimes people-reactive, dogs. When I called to check in on them, it was clear the staff was paying attention (specific and actual feedback about the dogs, rather than a generic "they're doing great").

When we came to pick them up, they were excited to see us, but not desperate to leave or anxious at all. In fact, a staff member that was taking care of them came out specifically to our car to say goodbye to our more difficult dog, which said a lot about quality of care that he was calm with her after 3 days. I've already booked our next visit!

Been bringing our 1.5yr old pup named Router Bit to Whispering Pines the last two weeks while my SO was out of town for Doggie Day Care. It has been so good for him and proves out the theory that a "a tired dog is a good dog". The staff is wonderful and friendly and you can tell they care about the pets and really like what they do. I highly recommend Whispering Pines for both Doggie Day Care and Boarding

I have been taking my dogs here for more than 5 years. They are always excited as I'm arriving there. After they are picked up and taken home, they fall asleep soon after. The owner and employees have helped me out in last minute emergency situations when I had to leave town. I recently lost one of my dogs. All of them were so supportive. I so appreciate all of them.

-Most staff are kind, however, there are a few staff members who are incredibly rude. It just makes me think- how are these staff members treating my dog when nobody is watching? -They are incredibly protective about the area where the dogs are kept to play. Dog parents are not allowed to go and see their pet in the play area. If you cross their line (which is not clearly marked) you will get yelled at by staff. -My sweet pup got kennel cough and Giardia from this daycare. -When I took my pup there for his first day they did not require proof of vaccination before taking him back to be with the other pups. -They are clearly understaffed most of the time (maybe why their staff can be incredibly rude). -My pup came home from that daycare whining and clearly somewhat traumatized.

The last straw was when he came home with a bite wound that NEEDED STITCHES. The staff did not tell me about this injury. This indicates that they were not watching my pup at all. -Wondering why there are so many great reviews? It's because clients get a free day of daycare for submitting a good review. -If you love your dog like I do- do not take him here. If you do, I truly hope you have a much better experience then we did.

Whispering Pines is an incredible pet resort! They are very responsive and so loving to my puppy, Leo! I was having a hard time leaving him for the first time and they sent me photos of him having the best time ever! No other place I would want to take him. I live in Boulder and make the drive, it's worth it! :
