Wimberley Kennel has been owned and operated for 12 years by Laura Macdonald, who also lives on the property. The Kennel is located in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country at 1110 Green Acres (at the corner of Wayside) Wimberley, TX. We love animals and strive to take the best care of them so they enjoy their home away from home! We want to provide excellent customer service and give peace of mind to their owners. We understand how stressful it can be to board your pets!
Services
Make your reservations as soon as possible. Fall is a busy time of year for family vacations and fun. Let us bring you peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. We also provide doggy daycare for the busy working parent Monday - Friday during business hours. They know and care for every individual pet's needs.
Please bring what your dog will need to feel at home and comfortable but please label everything. We have comfy Kuranda beds in each kennel to make sure that your little guy or gal is as comfortable as possible! A current copy of these vaccines must be on file as well as the animal's veterinarian clinic information.

I have tried to contact Wimberley kennels multiple times and either They are closed more than they are open, or never answer the phone during the hours that they're supposed to be open. They also do not contact you back when you leave your phone number or send them an email through their website. Since there is no possible way to make a reservation to board a dog it's hard to leave a good review.

I've been a K-9 owner all my life. Sometimes it's hard finding a place you can trust and feel absolutely assured that your pet will be taken care of like you treat them yourself. I live about 5 hours away and only get over to Wimberly once a year or so to see my mother. When Laura take my kids (Dee-Dee and Axel) in. I can leave and concentrate on spending time with my mother.
When I pick them up, I can tell they were treated like family and they always look good and happy. It seems Laura always has a great support staff that loves furry ones too. They all seem personable and genuinely nice. The only negative of writing this review.is.that more business might come of it and it'll be harder to get a kennel when needed. lol Highly Recommended.

We park across from this business on the side of the road when we go to the river. Not directly in front but on the other side of the road where there is nothing but trees. This last weekend as we were parking a man pulled in to the kennel and said to us "looks like we need to get some more rocks" (large rocks to block the parking). First of all, it's legal to park on the side of the road unless the governing body has posted otherwise: public easement. Second, nobody is bothering you. Have several seats & mind your own business, sir. Here's a photo of us having a great time after safely & legally parking
