Owner, Eric Rasmussen, opened The World of Wet Pets in 2005 after years of being a hobbyist. He and his team proudly serve the Portland metro area. With over 200 tanks, we are the largest aquarium store in the Portland area that serves both fresh and saltwater hobbyists. We have freshwater fish and invertebrates, saltwater fish and invertebrates, corals, live plants, and all the supplies you may need to make your aquariums thrive. The World of Wet Pets can accept most donated fish if arrangements are made prior to them arriving at the store.

World of Wet Pets Tropical Fish offers the largest selection of invertebrates in the Portland area. Marine and freshwater shrimps, crabs, snails and more are available. Aquatic Plants Report

In addition to many plants, we also have all the plant-specific lighting, fertilizers, and aquascaping tools you will need for your plants to thrive. Located at the front of our store are tissue cultured plants, guaranteed to be snail and algae free! We have beginner-friendly tissue cultured mosses and stem plants, but you can also find a few uncommon species like Gramnifolia- a carnivorous, insect eating plant!

I just want to say their staff is very friendly and know a lot of stuff, I been in the hobby of fish keeping for around 1 year and I was very impressed with everything they have, I also didnt see any dead fish (like in petco/petsmart). I also bought some skirt tetras from them and they are healthy and are thriving in my fish tank

Great customer service, I went during a busy time but was still checked in with regularly to see if I had questions or needed help. I was impressed with the quality of fish (endlers especially!) and a decent selection of snails, though I wouldn't recommend the shrimp. Some great plants too. It was nice to see Bettas in bigger tanks, setting a good example. I'll be back often!

Amazing place! We came here to get a tank and fish and they asked us to establish the tank and bring a water sample before introducing the fish. I appreciated that they weren't pushing for us to buy, quite the contrary, and it turns out the water was NOT in a good place and the fish would have died. They really care! Everyone is nice and helpful and we keep coming back.

The employees here are always so helpful and nice. If I need help, someone is always available and knowledgeable. I've been in about 5 times for supplies, shrimp and tetras. Never had a bad experience. Their product is great, fish are always healthy and their rewards program is AWESOME.

Hey it was fun out here! While so many were out celebrating Halloween. I went in this store to shop for different beautiful species of fish for my Aquarium. Unfortunately I made a lot of videos and there's no option to post videos. There are millions of lovely fishes you must see. God made them so special

This is a terrific little aquarium store. They focus on providing a good variety of well cared for fish and thoughtful tank accessories. I was most impressed by the knowledge, helpfulness, and positive attitude of the employees.
