Beautiful dogs. Inside and out. Their personalities are so much bigger, brighter, and bolder, than words can describe. They shine. Obedience is a natural attribute of these dogs. Their integrity is remarkable. Kindness rules their every day. They are each so unique and different but at the same time so much the same. Their spark is magical and magnificent.

Do not like posting negative reviews, but hope to spare another family from what we've been through. Agree with other reviewers, something must have changed over the years, in their breeding practice. Our vet can't believe he is from a "reputable breeder". Heidi came HIGHLY recommended, from a known local breeder that did not have a pup when we were looking.
We paid ALOT, and drove from MI to get our pup. It's been non-stop chronic health issues and expense. He came home sick and loaded with worms and Giardia that permanently damaged his GI tract. He is on Metronidazole daily, for life (every time vet tapers dose.he is symptomatic within 24 hours). He has joint issues, Ichthyosis AND terrible skin allergies requiring maintenance meds AND twice weekly medicated baths. Chronic ear infections, requires special diet.the list goes on and on and on.
He is only 4 now, we love him DEARLY, but the money and time spent in trying to maintain his health these past 4 years is a huge on-going strain. We also know he likely won't have a long lifespan; that sadness looms heavy in our hearts. It's a real shame. He has a beautiful temperament, it's sad how uncomfortable he is much of the time.

Great personality but major skin issues, had two ACL surgeries starting at age 3. Urine infections, ear infections. Our dog. Is now 8 and we've had 3 other her Golden's and this one is the least healthy but she is a good dog and loves people and kids. We had another one from this breeder with skin issues and she died of cancer.
