Services
Veterinary Medicine
Our comprehensive veterinary medicine services address all pet health needs through 30-40 minute appointments. We diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries while emphasizing preventive care. Our team develops customized treatment plans that may include medications, special diets, and follow-up monitoring to ensure optimal recovery.
Surgical Care
We provide advanced surgical care with preanesthetic testing and IV fluid support for safety. Our surgical suite features modern monitoring equipment and dedicated support staff. Post-operative pain management ensures patient comfort while our team maintains strict sterility protocols throughout all procedures.
Dental Cleanings
Professional dental cleanings remove plaque and tartar to prevent tooth and gum disease. We use ultrasonic cleaning with digital radiographs to assess oral health. Regular cleanings under anesthesia help maintain overall pet wellness and prevent painful dental conditions.
Diagnostic Imaging
Full-service radiology and ultrasound capabilities enable accurate diagnosis of internal conditions. Our doctors interpret digital X-rays and perform abdominal ultrasounds to detect abnormalities. We also offer hip and elbow screenings for breeding animals through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
Pet Boarding
Our boarding facility provides clean, supervised accommodations with veterinarian oversight. Services include three daily walks, medicating, and special diet management. We had an appointment booked for the 15th, assuming that's today not next month. This was told to us twice. We get there and the lady up Front said your appointment is in April. WOW what a waste of everyone's time. But twice?

Top notch care EVERY TIME at Lakewood Animal Health Center. Staff are helpful and caring. Wish I could give Dr. Andrea Eyler 100 's! She is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. She is unhurried and completely present during each appointment. Also, she respects my desire to treat our dog naturally when possible so it feels like a team approach, which I value and appreciate. Our little yet elderly girl hates going to the vet (anxiety reigns), but she LOVES Dr. Eyler!

They seem to have high prices for generic medications (like 4x cost of the same drug for humans), but otherwise I'm really pleased. They recognized our dog's critical condition and worked us into the schedule as needed. They've been very supportive of our choices as we navigated a very rare and life-threatening disease in our dog, where other vet offices scolded us for trying to keep our dog alive.
We had very collaborative discussions with the vet about treatment plans, even when we wanted to take a different direction. They've given us an open invitation to bring our dog in for basic recurring treatment (IV fluids) at our own discretion, which is nice because it's cheaper than paying to see the doctor every single time.
