Kansas City Veterinary Care, conveniently located in Waldo, provides veterinary care to cats and dogs, as well as many different types of exotic animals, including birds, reptiles, ferrets, and rabbits. All of our receptionists, technicians, kennel attendants, and office staff have received extensive training in customer service and are extremely dedicated to the well-being of animals. Our doctor staff now numbers seven and has over 100 years of combined experience in veterinary medicine. Candace Dietrich grew up in Fort Scott, Kansas, where she began her career in veterinary medicine working as a kennel attendant at a local veterinary clinic. She then went to Veterinary Technician school in Colby, Kansas where she earned her RVT degree in 2006.

We also offer wellness exams specifically tailored to older animals as well as exotic pets.

The most important part of preventive health care for pets is the wellness examination. Wellness exams, performed annually, are by far the most effective means of maintaining your pet's health. Identifying and treating medical problems early is much less stressful to your pet and less expensive for you.

5 to 7 years for every one of our human years? Some people fail to realize that since pets age much faster than we do, they can be considered "senior citizens" when the age of 7 is reached. As pets age certain changes are often apparent. Older pets commonly start to show signs of vision and hearing loss, behavioral problems, dental problems, arthritis, constipation and obesity.
