Whiskers Resort & Pet Spa is a luxurious center for daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, and training. Our goal is to recreate a home environment for our four-legged guests while offering the highest caliber pet grooming and styling services. At Whiskers Resort, every pet is treated like a cherished family member. To better assist our clients and the pets in our care, our customer service team is available to take calls Monday-Friday from 6am-8pm. All text messages and voicemails will be returned Monday after 11am.

Melissa and Marc share their home with three Maremma Sheepdogs, a Bernese Mountain Dog, five felines, five Friesian horses and an array of chickens. Melissa Verplank has owned multiple pet-related businesses in the Grand Rapids community for over 30 years. She and her husband had a vision, a dream of recreating a home-like environment for their four-legged clients. They imagined a facility that included overnight lodging for dogs and cats, doggie day care, outdoor canine play yards and full service grooming.

Whiskers Resort & Pet Spa offers luxury overnight boarding accommodations for dogs and cats. We have a variety of unique rooms and sizes. Your pet is treated with plenty of playtime throughout their day. In-room dining is available up to three times daily, with fresh, cool water available at all times.

Choice of service chosen by our Resort Staff, that is customized towards your pet's needs. This may include cuddle time, extra playtime, or enrichment activities. A mid-day treat such as a peanut butter kong, calming treat, or snacks during enrichment activities.

The pet salon and spa offers unparalleled quality in customized bathing and styling services for dogs and cats. Each grooming session at Whiskers is overseen by a Certified Master Stylist with the International Pet Groomers Association (IPG).
