Pet Motel and Salon's doggy daycare offering is different from the standard of most doggy daycare facilities. Our concept is exclusively an individualized-care option. While many dogs are social and appreciate group settings with other dogs for intense periods of time, we cater exclusively to dogs requiring individualized care.

Grooming

This is a video giving dog owners a unique visual perspective of the complete grooming process employed at the Pet Motel and Salon. Our grooming focuses on the pet's grooming needs. We don't glamorize pets to the extent that we would primarily be appealing to their human owners only. At the Pet Motel and Salon, we are absolutely talented and can perform a variety of haircut options suitable for your dog. But we don't offer a lot of ala-carte extra add-ons that amount to very little value to you and especially to your pet.

Haircuts

Dogs left with longer haircuts allow the breed to maintain a look that sticks more closely with its natural appearance but with greater refinement and neatening of the coat. Most would consider a dog's natural coat length as its most beautiful look and longer haircut types focus most on that visually pleasing perspective.

Process

Report

Prepping is the first step of the process where preliminary brushing and pre-clipping occurs to prepare a dog for a thorough bath. Dogs that are brought to us for haircuts are first given a rough-cut which is designed to set patterns and set initial hair length. Dogs scheduled for just baths are brushed out well in this stage to remove undercoat (dead hair), mats, and tangles that interfere with the bathing process. By doing a preliminary cut or brushing, we only wash dog hair that is intended to be left on the dog.
