A Dog's Life offers both private lessons and board and train packages. See the pawprint tabs for more information. Our training is designed to be fun and fair while catering to the individual needs of dogs and their owners. We are located in the Hudson Valley New York and provide transportation services in the Tri-State Area with every training package.

Owner Carla Barbano is a CPDT-KA certfied trainer and has a strong background in animal behavior. While the dogs are at our training camp they are exercised several times a day in supervised playgroups.

DOWN- Command should only be said once, and position must be held until released with "free". DOWN STAY- Down Command should only be said once, stay can be repeated and reinforced throughout the exercise. WAIT - stops forward motion allowing you to gain control before proceeding useful at doorways, curbs, and in and out of vehicles on command.

5 Week Program

This is an individualized program designed for dogs that require specialized training. Each dog will be evauluated in their home and we will create a customized training program to meet the needs of the dog and owner. All training packages include a lesson upon return to go over all of the training and an additional follow-up lesson within 2 weeks of the return. We are always available for questions that may come up.
