I've had a long-standing love affair with dogs going back as far as I can remember. My parents promised to bring a puppy home when I turned 10 thinking I would forget, and when I didn't, we got Ranger! I started working with animals when I was 12, volunteering at the local humane society - walking and spending time with the dogs.

Every dog and owner has their own unique relationship, complete with unique problems and goals. We pride ourselves on providing practical, convenient and effective solutions to help you and your dog live together more happily. There is no one size fits all training here! After listening to your needs (and wants) we develop a customized training plan to help you achieve your goals while coaching you in how to communicate with your dog in your own home, where your dog learns best.We specialize in correcting problem behaviors that damage the bond you and your dog share and helping your pup overcome fears which can lead to serious behavior issues.

We do not believe in one size fits all training! Training is customized to the needs of you and your dog and the one-on-one attention of your trainer will ensure you are building a healthy, loving bond with your dog, while communicating effectively and achieving your goals. Bark to Basics LLC opened in 2007.

Initial consults give us the opportunity to meet in your home and discuss your goals and the issues your dog is experiencing. We will also start training to get you on your way to a happier dog who is more enjoyable to live with! All training is customized to your specific needs to help you reach your goals.
