AdvoCATS, Inc. is an ALL-VOLUNTEER 501(c)(3) non-profit organized in 1999 and dedicated to the well-being of Hawaii Islands's homeless cat population. We support the Trap-Neuter-Return "TNR" program as the humane way to reduce the number of unwanted cats and prevent the spread of feline diseases. Each day hundreds of feral (wild) kittens are born on the Hawaiian Islands. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all these animals. Feral kittens are born into a harsh environment.

While we are happy to assist you with TNR-ing cats in your neighborhood, we CANNOT and WILL NOT remove cats permanently from your neighborhood that may be spraying and/or making noise while mating. We must RETURN any trapped cats that have been neutered or spayed to the location where they were trapped.

PLEASE REMEMBER - We DO NOT have a facility to house cats or kittens and all of us are unpaid volunteers. One of us will have to house and care for YOUR kitty in our own home. Maybe a neighbor or friend could help with advertising kitty locally or would be willing to adopt kitty? It is easy to take kitty with you if you are leaving the island and not expensive.

If you know the feeder's name or area where you would like the cats fed, please let us know. There is a message box on the PayPal donate page. We will gladly distribute the funds for you. All of your donations are tax deductible. We are trying to find people who are feeding the cats on the Big Island who are not assigned a colony.
