A native of Los Angeles, Ms. Haley graduated from Marlborough and USC, where she spent the rest of her life maintaining lifelong friendships made there. She volunteered with various charities in Los Angeles and in 1973 she co-founded with Diane Scripps, Pet Orphans of Southern California which remained her passion.
