Due to high demand for grooming services we are limiting NEW doodles and standard poodles to 50lb for full grown adults, give or take a few lbs, and new doodle puppies to "mini" or small only, not expected to exceed 45 or so lbs. These dogs are the most time consuming when large and we cant accomodate more large dogs of these breeds. Thank you for understanding! COAT CONDITION: I do not do heavy dematting.

I have great techniques to straighten out certain coats, only if feasible. If a dog is in this condition, I cut short, (with client permission) while always trying to keep as long as possible.

UPDATE: Hand stripping on mixed breeds and cairns, Coat thinning and De-shedding (for those who dont want to cut) are specialties at Canine Design. Only SMALL dogs handstripped, except German Wire Haired Pointers being the exception. No stripping for Airdales or Giant Schnauzers. Matted dogs or long hair scissor cuts in the upper range.

The normal routine is drop off between 7:30 and 9:00 am, unless a different time is discussed. I can be flexible. We ask that you walk your dog in the grass by the parking lot before entering. Most people report their dog DID have to go, much to their surprise. In the yard at home, they don't necessarily do all their "business", and I end up using valuable time mopping in the playpen and rebathing dogs who've pottied all over themselves in a crate.This is extremely time consuming. I understand accidents happen, but this helps to avoid them, allowing me to use my time getting your dogs finished!
